Hank's Fine Steaks & Martinis - Green Valley Ranch Resort, Casino & Spa Ratings and Reviews
Food and service was great! My only complaint is that our reservation was canceled because we were 15 min late... which seems a bit eager to me...I could understand if it was more like 30 min. Anyhow, we were seated within 15 min after our arrival so the cancellation didn’t end up being a big deal.
Our Hanks experience was awesome. We are locals and feel fortunate that a restaurant with the value and quality is nearby. The team service is very accountable and efficient. We had one minor salad issue and it was solved immediately and was corrected perfectly. The menu selections are very well planned and the variety is excellent. Our entrees and sides were all prepared. The dining room layout is very well done and was relaxing. The music added to the ambiance of the experience. This is definitely a return location for us.
For Christmas Eve we had an excellent meal, attentive staff and very knowledgeable about food, wine, cocktails etc.
This dinner was the best visit of all of our dining at Hank's!!
Thank you to all the staff and management for an excellent meal and experience at Hank's.
We all enjoyed this experience and will be back soon!!
We have dinned at Hanks quite a few times and have not been disipointed once. Excellent for date night or a formal dinner with family and friends. This has to be one of my top choice steakhouses off the strip. The staff is very friendly and the food is exceptional. I certainly the recommend Hank's for a place to dine.
I have been to Hanks on several occasions. It always has been a favorite. But this visit, I was disappointed. The food was good and the portions appropriate, however with a team of three servers the service should have been impeccable. It was sadly lacking. The main waiter, was not very friendly, as if I was spoiling his day be being there, the other was almost rude. I was never asked if I wanted ground pepper on my salad. When he picked up my martini glass, he asked if I wanted another. I said, I’d have wine with my meal. Well, the third guy delivered our meals. I asked about my wine. He said he’d tell the others. Well, we finally had to flag down a waiter to order wine with our steaks. The place is pricey and I would have hoped for better service. Hopefully, there will be a ne t time for us. Hanks..you’ve slipped.
What has happened to one of our favourite restaurants? The service was good but the food was terrible. We always have the Dover Sole and so we know how it should be. On this occasion it would have been more appropriate to 'sole' shoes! The oysters to start were tiny and chewy and the lobster chowder gluey with uncooked potatoes and little lobster.
A great disappointment.
I have dined at Hanks about once a month, service and food was always great. But this last time was absolutely terrible, and we will never go there again. We arrived at 6:30, and our main course did not get served until 8:20, our servers disappeared on us, and our wine server was the only helpful person that would talk with us. I would have expected a free bottle of wine or a discount for this poor service, but nothing was offered. One of the Managers offered us free dessert, which was already included in the surf n turf special we were having, what a joke.. awful experience
Our special occasion was an anniversary (30th) and we were seating at a horrible table with a curtain and a loud group of people right next to us. An intimate booth would have been nice. The staff was excellent but they asked me questions while standing behind me and it was awkward to have to turn around to respond . I hated the place where we were seated and how the host was oblivious.
This is our second dinner at Hanks. We were hopeful that our second visit would be as good as our first and we were not disappointed. We started with Martinis at the bar, which were fantastic. We then enjoyed amazing food and service in the dining room. Our server, Rick was wonderful just like last time. Every trip to Las Vegas will include a trip to Hanks for us. It is worth the drive!
Obviously, we DID arrive for our reservation (even though Open Table sent me an email saying we had not shown up.) We certainly told the young lady at the desk we had a reservation since we were about 15 minutes early and she informed us we wouldn't be seated until our reservation time of 6:00. The door staff was pretty "terse". When we asked if we could just be seated...we'd be happy to wait for the server...she huffed and said "I'm trying to tell YOU, it's happy hour!" Well, I never did GET her point. Frankly, if it hadn't been an anniversary dinner, we would have left. That said, the food, the ambiance and the service was great.
