Absolute horrible experience here Saturday night. Date night with the wife expecting a first class steak house experience. Service was horrible. 15 minutes before we were acknowledge then 45 minutes until our order was taken. Another hour before food came to the table. I ordered a open faced lobster ravioli. It tasted like a Stouffers microwave dinner. Then a NY steak medium rare. It cam out well. I would complain but the waiter disappeared. We complained about the service to the Maitre D to which his only response was "Sorry, we are busy and our staff are working a wedding." Considering our bill for the evening was over $250 for 2 I expected at least a free drink!

While we were leaving the restaurant, a server bumped into my spouse, knocking her onto the floor. She sustained a mild concussion & other bruises. Neither the server or the mgr were particularly helpful or apologetic. Disgraceful!

Professional friends gathered for a meeting recently to have dinner and catch up; this was a good and convenient setting to do this. Good food, very good service, comfortable, and nice views nearby if you want a walk after dinner.

The restaurant was clean, quiet, and warm, very nice setting with a view of the bay. The service was quick and efficient...the food was excellent. The price was high but hotel food always is....i think it was competitive for hotel food.

The restaurant is located inside the Marriott, which has a vast lobby bar. The food itself was very good, but the decor was tired. The wine list was small but very good.

This place is a always a pleasant surprise. Hidden away in a hotel, you'd never expect such great service, flavor, and food quality.
Btw, great wine list as well, covering all price ranges & palates.

The service was horrible, our waiter, Calvin, was never around. He came, took our orders, and then disappeared for 30 minutes. My boyfriend and I waited over 30mins for our food. I had to get the attention of another waiter just to get more water. Then after waiting another 20mins for the check, we decided to just get up and walk to the hostess table to pay. Smh.

Other than that, the food was great. But the lack of hospitality made this a horrible experience.

My wife and I had dinner at Hangar Steak on Saturday evening. The service was excellent, but the dinner was not. The only part of the dinner that is memorable was the dessert. Hangar Steak offers a trio of three crème brulees in small ramekins. They are three different flavors. They were delicious.

My wife was not very hungry, so she had the shrimp cocktail. She liked and it was beautifully plated. I started out with a very rich mushroom soup. The waitress did mention that it is a very rich soup. The rib eye was just okay. The steak was fatty and not very favorable. I had a side order of mushrooms, which were just average.

Sadly, we do not recommend Hangar Steak and will not be going back. The restaurant says they are a steak house. There are far better steak houses on the Peninsula than Hangar Steak. For a steak house I recommend Sundance and Flemings both in Palo Alto.

We went here for a birthday lunch and the b-day boy wanted to have a good view of thr planes. The view was great. The tacos and hamburger were good and presentation was attractive. My crab sliders had a lot of bread and a little bit of crab. The fries were good but served lukewarm. Dessert (chocolate cake) was excellent.

Delightful surprise...great service and excellent food

Stayed at the Marriott. Popped in Hangar for a meal. They delivered. Try the lobster ravioli appetizer and the lobsterman and cheese. The steak was worth the wait.

I'll be back.

We had been to Hangar a few times and had great service and food, so we were looking forward to another great experience on Christmas Day. The menu was prix fixe so of course was pricier than usual, but for a special occasion we were fine with that. We arrived at 7:20 for our 7:30 reservation and sat down right away. Only 1/2 the tables were taken so they were not busy. The busboy came and gave us water and bread and everything was fine. The waitress walked past our table and we had eye contact but she was busy at the moment, so she didn't stop. It had only been a few minutes though so no big deal. But then time went by and as many times as she walked by after that (at least 5 or 6 times), she never stopped at our table even once to even say hi or acknowledge us in any way. After waiting for 1/2 hour, we gave up and left. If she had at least acknowledged us we might have been more patient but there was nothing. We would like to go back and try again, and hope we get a better waiter, as the food there is quite good (if you can get some!)

As with most of the reviews, the food comes out at a snail pace but at least the place is quiet and we can enjoy the company and not be distracted. Streaks and sides did not disappoint.

Went there for a Christmas dinner with my daughter who was craving a good steak. Unfortunately they had a set menu for the evening. A little disappointed that we weren't informed about this when we made a reservation through Open Table. Luckily the beef wellington was good for my daughter's craving. I had the turkey dinner which was good also. Their salad was excellent. Had a dessert buffet which had some good stuff too. Service is relatively slow. Had a long lag between our salad and main courses. Never got a refill on water or asked for another glass of wine, so service is marginal at best.

The food was below the quality of a diner. It was overpriced. There was nobody dining there and they couldn't check me in for my Open Table reservation. Now, I have a no show after the overpriced breakfast.

Overall the restaurant was good--the food was quite good and the atmosphere was fine. The service was a bit slow and at times complete lack of attention--a dirty plate sat in front of me for 15 minutes before it was picked up. The food made up for lack of service.

I am writing this note after just returning home from this restaurant on Nov. 16, 2016. Our dinner experience was completely unsatisfactory. We were celebrating a farewell dinner with a special guest who is returning to Japan from SFO tonight..

The prime rib eye steaks ($42 a la carte) were NOT a prime cuts of beef--very tough, thin and leather-like. I told the waiter these were NOT prime steaks. I complained to the waiter and all he said was "...I will talk to the chef". He did not apologize or offer to replace the steak -- he seemed not to care and walked away.

The side dishes of asparagus, mushrooms and french fries were very salty and we could not enjoy them and left most uneaten.

Also, the delivery of food was very, very slow. No one came by to fill our water glasses or to ask whether we were enjoying our meal.

I expected much higher quality in food and professional service. My wife and I were very disappointed and will not return and will discourage anybody from eating at your restaurant.

You could hear a pin drop. The Restaurant was so quiet, we were whispering. No music , no ambience. Very expensive. Quality of the meal did not meet expectations given the price tag. Service was excellent. Fun to see the planes taking off / landing. However - I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
