We were quite happy with all aspects of our meal. Two split a steak and a pasta dish (high recommend the pasta dish with butternut squash and brussel sprouts), the kitchen presented this in on different plates, so as to avoid the hassel of sharing at the table. The veggies, esp sweet potatoes, were delicious. Great steaks and sauce, exceptional service. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, busy by the time we left, and there was no lapse in service. Thank you for making the boss look good.
We went there for a quick meal during a stopover on the way from Oz to Cabo. Seafood chowder and a glass of Ch St Jean Sonoma chardonnay. The gratis nibbles came with an excellent olive oil. Service was brisk and attentive, a pleasant room, we liked the wine, the chowder was too much bread and too little chowder. Others have said that the place is on the expensive side, we'd agree with that. Average but convenient to where were staying, so that counted .. 😄 .. !
Brought an out-of-town friend here for a lovely view of San Francisco Bay, and to see airplanes take off and land from the airport. Great meals, large and filling, with unique ingredients! Service was a bit slow despite them not being full, and we had to chase someone down when we wanted our check, but otherwise a great experience. Would still go again to try more of the menu items.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here. The food tasted good, but the restaurant wasn't crowded and it took a long time. We sat for 10 minutes before seeing any server for even a glass of water. Our meal was $200 total, not great value for money overall.

We arrived and were seated quickly, we were told upfront "they apologize but service will be a little longer tonight" We did not notice as they attended to all the other needs during the wait. Food was excellent. One issue is the parking. It is part of the hotel and is validated but when I checked out it did not recognize the validation, a good thing once I pushed the button for an attendant he took care of everything and we were on our way.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We were a group of 4 and came here for a small family birthday gathering. Our server was very helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. He even brought us a small complimentary dessert when he learned of the birthday!
Overall nice experience, actually the initial welcome & greeting were the evening highlight, everything else was average. Great view but the price is very touristy for the menu items & level of service. Not a great menu selection as well. Drink order wrong twice, waiter never returned to check on us, sides ala carte approach is not appealing; far from a Ruth’s Chris Steak House for certain. Parking was good, and great spot for people watching. Would not recommend as a spot to celebrate or impress, but would not completely discourage others for a general evening out.
We had a good experience. We ordered Cesar salad and split it for 2;side of risotto and filet mignon with lobster=surf n turf; rib eye and for dessert we ordered the apple cobbler. The service was good. They didn't present our order as we are used to from a typical steak house in SF. The Cesar salad was served on something we had to guess what it was...cheese fried bread🤷♀️. It would be nice to have water refilled without having to flag someone down. We received our check and we had to wait a lengthy time and finally had to flag our waiter down to take our credit card. The bill was $155 without alcohol. It's quiet pricey for adequate service. I would expect to be seated at the window on the water if I made reservations weeks ahead of time, but we weren't. Don't get me wrong we still had a view...the windows are large and we could see around the other patrons seated by the window. It's a great location on the water near the airport, but it's pricey.
Nothing special about food, especially considering the price. VERY SLOW service. Polite staff but they have no direction or sense of urgency. Not that we were in a hurry but you will have to hunt someone down if you need anything. Beautiful view though and nice decor.
The evening of our meal was the hottest day on record for California. 115ºF. We entered the Hotel (beautiful hotel) and went to the restaurant. We sere seated at the window. The air conditioning vent was directly and blowing full snow flakes. We froze!
The bread and dip was amazing...clearly the bet part of the meal. I ordered a Ceasar and the plank wrapped Salmon. ridiculous amount of garlic which completely overwhelmed the Salmon. it was terrible. The Margarita was awesome! But didn't make up for the food quality. Did I say Freezing? Really freezing which ruined out night out. I can't believe i'm complaining of freezing on the hottest most sweltering day of the century. Our waiter, Kelvin, was amazing. Attentive, eye on the ball, quick and with good suggestions. The price tag i nearly choked. At nearly $300 for our meal, i expected to be wowed. Completely under amazed. I will not return to this restaurant.
However, the Hotel is amazing and beautiful and the bar area, which also have food, could easily be a vibrant hot spot.
This was an overnight stay prior to an early morning flight. We enjoyed the water view and watching the planes take off and land on the runways on the far side of the water. The food was quite good as was the wine, although a bit pricey. I would stay at the Marriott Airport Waterfront again and would dine in the Hanger Steak restaurant again.
The ambiance of the restaurant was superb, with breath-taking views of the bay and airport. We were greeted promptly and treated very respectfully and warmly by the staff. Our waiter was OUTSTANDING and accommodating. Our steaks were superb, perfectly cooked. The blue cheese wedge salad was generous and the dressing excellent. Mushroom soup was heavenly. I'd go back her in a second.
Bad service. No service finely we ask the manager if we could order a drink , so he sent the waiter over to get our drinks order . I look over and I notice there was only one waiter for all the tables .all the tables were without any food. Everybody was waiting... our reservation s were for 5:30 we dis't get out the restaurant until 7:30.
I have to say the food was excellent!!!

Ruined my Mother's Day.. Didn't tell me they were doing a buffet.. for the lobby as well.. my mom didn't get her favorite steak dinner.. Buffet was average.. And when I didn't tip out of protest.. they added a tip anyway without my authorization.. mandatory tip was for party of 6 or more.. we were party of four.. would've given them a second chance since Mom loves the food but that tip theft was the final straw.. Hangar Steak.. never again..
This was a great Mother's Day Brunch. It was expensive, but once a year, worth it! Tons of great options during the buffet, and good times with my two little boys. Attached is an image of the view we had from our table the whole brunch time. Great view of the SFO runways!
The hostess was lovely, and the window table I'd requested was available. The restaurant was clean, neat and nicely appointed. Drink orders were filled quickly. Dinner order was taken timely, but our meals took nearly an hour to produce and that was after I flagged down a server and said we'd been waiting. Please note the restaurant was not crowded -- I'd estimate 50-60% capacity at most. I ordered the salmon which was raw at the center, cold and largely inedible; the grilled asparagus were properly prepared and very good. One friend ordered the roast chicken, and another a pasta dish. Both were happier than I with their respective orders. At least the coffee was hot, and we were given complimentary chocolate dipped strawberries apparently for Mother's Day.
Absolute horrible experience here Saturday night. Date night with the wife expecting a first class steak house experience. Service was horrible. 15 minutes before we were acknowledge then 45 minutes until our order was taken. Another hour before food came to the table. I ordered a open faced lobster ravioli. It tasted like a Stouffers microwave dinner. Then a NY steak medium rare. It cam out well. I would complain but the waiter disappeared. We complained about the service to the Maitre D to which his only response was "Sorry, we are busy and our staff are working a wedding." Considering our bill for the evening was over $250 for 2 I expected at least a free drink!
