The food was excellent and the service was among the best I have had, highly recommend.

Fresh fish, high quality preparation, consistently good service. Our family eats here 2-3 per month, and we never have been disappointed.

The best Sushi place by far outside of Japan. Most sushi places have handful of frozen fish and their fatty tuna is not very good. Hana has the best quality and freshest melt in your mouth (literally) fish. Before Covid they would have many special selections such as black throat, Barracuda, and other fishes that were gret to try. Unfortunately with Covid the selection is limited but the quality is still great.

I just cannot say enough good things about Hana. Any other sushi place you may like will not even come close to competing with Hana. But you will pay for the experience and it is very well worth it!

Food was terrific. Service could have been a bit better. It took about 15-20 minutes after we were seated to get the waiter to take our order. Also, the food in the Bento Box was too salty for my taste.

They did a great job with the new patio space. We were warm and comfortable. The food is always amazing. Our favorite Sake somm was our server and he was fantastic. Great dinner, love Hana.

After all the build up to dine here from friends testimonials about the food and experience being “next level”, I find the food was good but not “best ever” quality and the service was downright atrocious and long long long long long waits. Yes, COVID. But I’d rather not go to your restaurant at all if the best you can do is mediocre.

I haven't been here in years. I remember it being top notch then, hoping for the same.

It still is very good. I can't speak to the sushi as we has a couple of apps and a bowl of Udon and Ramen. All were perfect for a chilly evening.

The outdoor seating was spaced apart per Covid 19 sanctions, as well as barriers for other sections that created a cozy atmosphere.

Our host Danny was our server as well. He seemed very happy and proud of what was going on at the restaurant.

While we didn't get sushi the menu had many more items I wanted to try. I can't wait to go back.

Always an amazing experience dining at Hana! The food is exquisite and the menu provides something for everyone, from rare fish from Japan to homier options like the mouthwatering chicken meatballs! Hana dining outdoors is perfect as they have installed wooden walls that separate the tables, with heat lamps above. You will be comfy, cozy dining here even during SIP.

Simply the best experience for a birthday date.... It was clean, very professional, and nicely setup. We had a good table to ourselves more than 6ft apart. The waiters/waitresses were all helpful with even the humble chef taking care of us too. They were professional keeping their masks on and tending to our every need. The food was delicious you must try the waygu they just melt in your mouth. The entrees were extraordinary with the chef's choice of sides to compliment the dish even more.. Just an amazing night overall and great experience.. Don't forget to try the dessert well worth it.

Found this cute speak easy style Japanese restaurant with above average food and acoustics music with nice lighting for ambience. Definitely recommend.

Hana always delivers! They have done a great job adjusting to COVID. Indoor dining felt very safe and the food was outstanding as ever. Outdoor dining also looked nice, with a view of the golf course. Best Japanese restaurant in the Bay Area....will find any excuse to drive up from San Francisco!

The best sushi outside of Japan and as good as many in Japan. Fresh melt in your mouth with variety not the same old 4 fish you get other places.

I feel like I am cheating if I get sushi from somewhere else

We basically had the bar area to our selves. The waitress was very attentive and recommended some wine. It was our anniversary and it was quiet and lovely dinner.

The food is outstanding! Serving old favs and interesting specials (yellow eye snapper) very well. Service was sporadic from good to excellent.

Used to come here often. Moved out of the area but gathered with a couple of friends. The wait time for hot sake and drinks was at least 15 min from when we were seated. It was because the sake had to be warmed up... if that were the case why not have hot water ready just for that occasion. Sitting and waiting just to have a drink while waiting for food is not enjoyable. Point of going out with friends is to socialize over drinks and a meal. Other than that it was great as usual.

I was hosting 5 friends for a pre-lecture event at Sonoma State- time was limited to an hour. Normally we would have stayed much longer. It was going to be a light dinner of sushi rolls. I had asked when I made the reservations if I could call that morning to preorder. Before I had a chance to call them, they called me Tuesday morning. I was able to pre-order a couple of appetizers and two rolls - and additional rolls to be brought after we had begun. Two additional rolls were ordered during the evening. The staff was wonderful. And of course the food at Hana is always fantastic. I had not had the Crunchy or the Tokyo rolls before - would definitely have again. My friend the beer fan - raved about the sweet potato beer. Ended up sharing a second with another friend. Another friend who loves sake asked about a dry one...the server brought two over for her to taste before she ordered one of them. (Very sizable tastes). They have an extensive sake list. I was impressed with the value of the wines by the glass. Saying that Hana was an economical dinner for six people, does not sound possible, but the rolls served six. If you plan ahead with rolls it is a great place for a group of 6. Have to admit if left on my own - I would be eating nigiri all night...Truly made my day! Thank you Hana. Great way to start my 75th year. to my delight no one in my party pulled out their phone to take pictures of the food. We just enjoyed it!

Always love coming here. Best Sushi around in Sonoma County. Wish Hana was in Healdsburg so we could go more often!

Overpriced for the level of service and the sub-par sushi. Do not order the tuna poke ...it is a pile of spicy tuna, would not return

We celebrated our son's 31st bday at Hana. All of us had the Omekasi. A pricey evening, but lots of fun with amazing dishes, each done beautifully. The best part of the evening was the Sommelier, Danny. He really made the evening for us. He presented a saki paring for each course, explaining why each saki went with what we were about to eat. He gave a brief explanation about each saki as well. He answered all of our questions, and explained some of the dishes we were not sure about. He truly made it a night worth remembering.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. The best Japanese restaurant north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
