Our group had a terrible experience! I felt as if we were treated as “unworthy” guests. Lots of snarky comments by the staff, empty water glasses, and one of the meals were brought out incorrect. We asked about having dessert and the comment made to us was “all the chef will be able to offer...”. I feel that was an inappropriate way to describe something to your customer. We also asked about having some bread before our dinner and were told “well you will have to pay for it”. Did we seem like we would not be able to? We were a very well dressed, well mannered group. Overall, I felt very unwelcome in this restaurant and our service was sub par. We will take our money elsewhere next time.

We had brunch at 12 on a Sunday. The dining room is elegant and bright. Table and chairs were very comfortable. The food was perfect. The orders were all correct, and the service was on point. I would highly recommend Hampton's for Brunch or dinner!

Great creative food . Service was exceptional.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Hampton's after church on Sunday. Lot's of creative options to choose from on the brunch menu. I had the sausage and crawfish gumbo and the brisket hash, both were delicious!

Great dinner and excellent dessert options - definitely worth the time and effort to go to Hampton’s.

An absolutely wonderful dining experience! The service was exceptional and our meals were outstanding! We were celebrating my husbands birthday, they made it extra special with a personalized happy birthday message on our menus, and a visit by the chef. Thank you Hamptons for a very special evening.

We invited friends to dine with us that have not been to Sumter's downtown in 13 years. They were astonished with the changes and quickly fell in love with Hamptons. They continuously complimented on the quality of the food, from the perfect prime rib to the light and delightful Carolina shrimp with pasta. Our friends commented " it's well worth the drive from Charlotte ".

Nice brunch and attentive service. Really enjoyed the meal. Only issue was table was under a vent and we were a bit cold.

Excellent food, excellent service. Fried oyster appetizer was incredible. Try the Maine lobster with ravioli appetizer and the ribeye for entree.

As always, Hamptons was a wonderful dining experience that didn’t disappoint. There were 7 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. My roasted eggplant ravioli was AMAZING, I will be getting that again. Impecccable service and delicious, creative dishes make Hamptons beyond reproach.

The food has always been great when we go. However this time it seemed even better. Cant say enough about the pork raviolis for an appetizer.

Our table of 4 had fish and steaks and everyone was happy. Ladies raved about the Australian Bass and short-rib ravioli starter. Good wine selection, a little pricey in the by-the-glass section. Wish we had saved room for dessert, they looked great passing our table.

We were expecting a nice, quiet and romantic dinner for our anniversary, boy were we wrong. There was an extremely loud table a few tables back from us and we heard more of their conversation than we could our own. The food was good, but we probably won't be back.

Service was 3 stars. Normally a host(ess) will ask where we would like to be seated since it was fairly empty. She didn’t, rather we were tucked away in a corner. It made me feel unwelcomed.
Food was fantastic! Especially the salad.

It was my wife’s birthday and they printed special menus for her! That was the first time we’ve ever experienced anything like that. The food was amazing and the whole dining experience was on point!

I am my wife are foodies coming from the NYC Tri-state area. We have visited many restaurants over the years and actually take pride in scoring different cuisines. We must say that the chef at the Hamptons is awesome because the food was incredible. We will be back!

Best restaurant in the area for special occasions. Outstanding food and service.

Taking my husband to Hampton's for his birthday has become somewhat of a tradition. He likes coming here for this occasion, and I don't mind taking him, but I just wish that their servers were more friendly and accommodating. Each time I've been there I've never felt like my presence was valued or appreciated. Yes, they did their job and they were friendly enough, but it wasn't the type of service I expect from a fine dining establishment.

Really good chef. Best food in the area. We all had something different and everything was cooked well and good. Our go to place now for special occasions. We're from Florence.

An unexpected treat! We expected a good dinner from the on-line reviews, but the reality exceeded our expectations. Who would have thought to find such a sophisticated meal in Sumter! Everything from the wine list (moderate in size, but with excellent selections at all price levels) to the espresso, was top notch. My wife's a gourmet cook and was impressed with the skill with which her chicken with veal sauce & vegetables mixed flavors. This was also true of the vegetables & rice with my grouper, though the fish itself could have used a little more flavor. The dessert selection was tempting, but we had to resist this time. Not a big crowd on this pre-holiday Friday night, but this made for a nice, quiet evening. And the service was excellent - knowledgeable, attentive and friendly.
Not cheap, but worth it. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

Delicious, creative, soul-feeding food. Waitstaff is superb, the chef is of the gods. Worth a long drive, flight, walk. Get there, love it!

I've always enjoyed the menu selections. Probably the most exciting thing about the menu menu is that I find every bite to be a different taste sensation. Presentation was beautiful. But there were so many different little flavor nuances to the items that it is really a treat. The chef does an excellent job of exciting the pallet. My most recent visit I ordered the pork chop and it was without a doubt one of the best restaurant meals I have ever had. My husband, a meat and potatoes guy, had a filet and he was in heaven. A great bottle of wine, and good friends made the evening very nice. The restaurant is not large, so make reservations. Dress was better casual but no jacket required.

Aimee provided excellent service. She was very friendly and helpful in us making a decision on menu choices. She was right. All the staff that we interacted with displayed wonderful customer service. My wife put your location on her Facebook page. We will be back with family and friends in the near future.
