This was a Christmas' Eve dinner buffet. Service was good, food was good as always, however they crump the place with so many tables and the choice of music is just not something classy. It doesn't feel special anymore. We have attended their Christmas eve dinner for a few years now, but this is the last time.
My mother and I enjoyed our final day at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village by enjoying Hampton’s champagne brunch. The bottomless mimosas were tasty and the wide selection of brunch items were all appealing. I particularly was pleased with the prime rib at the carving station, shrimp dumplings, flank steak, and shrimp dumplings. However, the desserts were the best part with a delicious cherry cheesecake, tiramisu, and made-to-order crepes. Lastly, the service was great and appreciated being visited personally and meal comped by the exceptional and friendly food and beverage manager Julio. Everyone is like family to us now at this property as a whole and look forward to a hopeful return next year.
Thanksgiving brunch with my family at Hampton’s was very enjoyable. The wide variety of selections were all delicious and beautifully presented. The bottomless mimosas were great and complimented the brunch nicely. The carving station with the organic turkey and gravy tasted just as good as it does back home in the south. The sweet potatoes and chicken apple cornbread dressing were also outstanding. The desserts were incredible, and to me personally, the biggest improvement from last year. The selection of multiple, pies, cheesecakes, ice creams, and other unique selections were a perfect ending. Not to be discounted, the entire staff from management to servers were friendly and attentive throughout the entire brunch. If there had to be any negative, it would have to be the price at $149. However, the overall experience was enjoyable and a nice memory for me and my family for a second year in a row while on vacation here in Westlake Village.
went there for brunch. I had specifically asked for a table "not in the middle of the floor" since my mother in law is elderly and has a walker.
We were sat in the middle of the floor anyway...right next to a very LOUD group of men. So loud we couldn't hear each other talk.
Several servers walked by us many times with juice and coffee in their hands but no one offered any to us. After about 5 minutes our server finally came by.
Crab was tasteless, halibut bland, other food very mediocre. WAY over priced at $75 per person.
Ugly carpet too. Sorry - not up to Four Seasons standards at ALL!
If it's a holiday- the price goes up! Wish I had known that. It wasn't on the website but they said they tell people about the increase who call them on the phone. Our anniversary happened to fall on Father's Day so the brunch was closer to $100 each rather than $70 each. Great service and food but not sure any brunch is worth that.
I made a Mother's Day Brunch reservation 90 days out on Open Table. I called the Four Seasons and asked what the cost of brunch was and was told $72pp. Fair enough. The restaurant was packed, the wait in line for an omelet was 15 minutes. When the check was presented it was for. $139pp!!!!! If I had been told that when I first called I would have cancelled the reservation.
NO BRUNCH IS WORTH $139pp, special occasion or not. THIS WAS NOTHING MORE THAN PRICE GOUGING. perhaps their regular brunch has a few less items but there is NO JUSTIFICATION FOR DOUBLING THE PRICE FOR WHAT AMOUNTS TO THE SAME FOOD.
We love the four seasons.. it sure is beautiful and nice. But for 150 per adult for brunch it was not worth it. The omelet line was always 8/9 deep and the line took up most of the room. It was crowded as well so it was hard to get around. We brought our 4 year old along and on their website it mentions kids under 4 are free. Our daughter are two pieces of bacon and they charged us 70 dollars for her brunch, without asking her age. When we asked about this a server told us 70 dollars was the kids rate and they normally charge 150 for 5 and up. Seemed ridiculous and an excessive amount so I went to ask the manager if there was an age limit.. he informed me 5 and under was free. So right there I found it dishonest we got charged in the first place without being asked her age. The variety wasn't great and with how busy it was I would think they'd have more available in a bigger space. We won't come again for brunch and we do frequent the four seasons a lot.
Easter Brunch buffet had everything! Jazz music was playing outdoors, there was a bunny roaming the room and patio entertaining the kids, a magician was seen at some tables but did not stop at every table. Buffet included oysters, shrimp, King crab legs, ahi, salmon, variety of salads, bagels lox etc. Excellent eggs benedict, an omelet station. Waffles. Fried Chicken. There were cheeses and charcuterie, sushi rolls, egg rolls, shu mai. The scallops, duck, lamb and prime rib were excellent as well. Lots and lots and lots of desserts; especially enjoyed the cheesecake. Our server, Kendall was very good. She was attentive with refills of champagne and o.j., coffee. The staff cleared plates in a timely manner too. Albeit more expensive than the regular Sunday Brunch; the Easter Brunch was an extravaganza that was really enjoyed by everyone in the room.
Hampton's Four Season's brunch is the Ultimate...fresh fantastic food choices where there is something delicious for everyone, gorgeous setting in lushly decorated dining room with outdoor dining for those to like dining in a garden setting complete with tranquil waterfall backdrop, great mix of classic standards performed with great style by house singer Danny is perfection in completing a masterful setting for the Ultimate Sunday Brunch...BRAVO!
Six of us went here for Sunday Brunch, expecting the fine service Four Seasons is known for, as well as great food. I had read reviews saying the ambiance was lacking, and it certainly was. It resembeled a banquet room at a cheap Bar Mitzvah, not a Four Season's Hotel. Hamptons is on the lower level of the Four Seasons, Westlake Village. We were greeted and seated quickly, and then things fell apart. Our waitress came once, introduced herself, and took drink orders for the first guests to arrive. We got our initial drinks, but then she didn't come back to the table for about a half hour, during which time the rest of the guests arrived. There were no coffee refills offered, nor champagne refills or juice. The hot water for tea was not refilled.
When we went to get food I expected the quality to be similar to the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, which is outstanding. Instead the food was mediocre. The potatoes had been sitting in the steam trays and were mushy. The octopus and potato salad tasted fishy, and off putting. Usually at a buffet there is fresh fruit, but there was none except at the kids table where there was some watermelon.
The carved beef was unattended, tough and had been carved a long time prior to my arrival there. It was sitting under a heat lamp. It just seemed as if nobody cared.
After we ate our first plates and left to get seconds, we came back to a table that had not been cleared. It was as if we didn't exist. We saw busboys attending to tables around us, but it was just a strange experience. After we flagged down our waitress we had to wait over 10 minutes to get our check. And then another 15 minutes to run the charges. I don't know what happened but I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Service was exceptionally slow from most on the floor except for one server who came on toward the end of our lunch (presumably a shift change). Plates were not picked up in between trips to buffet. My coffee cup was always empty and I had to hunt people down for refills. Once refilled coffee was consistently cold and stale. Whens the last time you cleaned your coffee equipment? The bad taste in your coffee suggests dirty coffee equipment, bad beans, or both. The meeting room chairs were very uncomfortable and totally out of line for this price point. I expected more from a Four Seasons.
I brought my wife to this Brunch Location and I was expecting what Hamptons should deliver.. The service was horrible, I had to go find the waiter to receive a fork. I asked tone seated next to window and they said sorry we have specific tables(even though there were plenty of tables open.) For $160 meal I think moving tables shouldn't be a big deal. But still I was trying to enjoy our gourmet spread, but when I went to pay for the meal I couldnt find my waiter and I had to hunt him down to pay.. This experience took up my time money and comfort that I had for Hamptons because you should hold yourself to a higher standards. I hope this helped because this shouldn't happen to anyone Hope to hear back from someone regarding his issue..
Hampton's was decorated beautifully and even had a snow machine outside on the patio.. nice touch. Food presentation was beautiful and there was no shortage of choices however, most items were luke warm . No standout items where flavor was concerned. $1.100 for a party of 7.
My family and I have been to Sunday Brunch at Hampton's over the years. I have always enjoyed the look of their room, with beautiful upholstered club chairs with carved wood arms and lovely matching tables. Imagine my surprise when I arrived this past Sunday to a room filled with very odd plastic and metal banquet chairs and metal legged tables.
When I pay a sizable premium for their brunch, it is not just about the food, it is about the entire experience. I originally thought that maybe they had a large party the night before and did not have time to break down the room. I eventually asked one of the staff only to be told something along the lines of commenting on how this room used to be formal but they needed to fit more people in. It was lead to believe this was not a temporary change.
They were top notch in also sending over the manager to hear my comments. I hope management rethinks this change. I was celebrating some good news and really would have loved to experience the ambiance I have enjoyed so many times before.
The food was good but not exceptional, vegetables were very overcooked, desserts were interesting and tastey. Not enough choices for Vegetarians and at $129.00 a person for Brunch we would have expected more. Beautiful setting and dining room, lovely ice sculpture. Attentive and nice staff. Talented singer/pianist but not Jazz we were told and was on the website.
A very large selection. Food was for the most part good but not spectacular. The crab was below average.
The service was below average with a waiter that seemed like he was new and gave service far below the standards of a Four Seasons.
All in all, they seemed to have gone downhill. I've been to many Four Seasons and the standards at the others is way beyond this one. It should have been a $50 buffet not $125.
We went with high expectations, given the price, but were enormously pleased! The food quality, preparation and taste was outstanding! We had one issue with something we put on our plates that was not hot (a burner had gone out), but this was quickly rectified and replaced by our server. My crab claws were noticed and drawn butter was quickly brought to the table. The variety of food and unhurried atmosphere made for a nice, leisurely brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. We will be back again and again!
If you look at the menu for the Four Seasons Sunday Jazz Brunch it appears to be very nice. An indulgent experience if you will. However, the reality was a classic case of over promise and under deliver. The brunch was underwhelming to say the least. For example, there was only one type of bagel (wheat) in the entire buffet, their Sushi and Sashimi station had no sashimi, and their selection of juices was reduced to one (Orange). I could go on but the bottom line is if you want to go for a fancy brunch go else where. Service was good though their could have been more staff and attention paid given that it's a 5 star hotel.
The Su Brunch is incredible. Service is always excellent. Ask to be seated in Nancy or Stefon's section, they are the best. The seafood station is extremely fresh, shrimp oysters crab claws and tuna tartare over avocado purée. Crispy Bacon sausage and egg station for breakfast lovers is great. Sushi and egg rolls, the lamb chops were amazingly delicious. Tenderloin is quality beef and cooked perfectly. The chicken was delicious too. Fantastic mashed potatoes. A salad station and kids station. Dessert tables have a lot of options but the chocolate mousse was a favorite today. Beautiful grounds with waterfall view. Sinatra piped in music is nice and the speakers are outside now - along with a top hat guy doing whatever......
