Butter poached Maine lobster on a New England style
Ronald was a great server who took awesome care of us and food was delicious!
Parking can be a challenge at this restaurant that is very reminiscent of a casual Florida seafood diner. Our service was excellent (and always has been) but the table next to us wasn’t as fortunate with their server. Drinks arrived quickly as did our soups and entrees. All were very good. The she crab soup is excellent. They have had trouble with their food supplier so some menu items (crab) were not available. Overall a pleasant evening. I’ve been several times and will continue to return.
Everything was great except for the parking. I could not find a parking place on either side of the restaurant and I was late as a result. Our table outside was given to someone else. The two businesses on either side were full as well so the only way I could park was across the street and have to cross back over Roswell Road. UGH!
We love the good here and it’s a nice little gem in sandy springs! Great place for oysters.
Best oyster ever!
The food was simple and tasty. That is what I like and what I eat. Was able to sit outside and besides the cars on Roswell Road, it was a fine dinner with good friends.
Great oysters and seafood. Beachy feel to the restaurant. Wish it wasn't located on a noisy street but otherwise great. Not cheap, but no good seafood is.
Simply did not live up to what we expected, service was slow, jalapeño cheese oysters were close to being inedible, and the rest of the entrees were just okay. The jalapeño hush puppies were the only item worth talking about.
The booth we sat in had a spring poking through the vinyl and it ripped the seat out of my shorts!! I told the waitress, but she didn’t seem overly concerned.
No big deal, lesson learned, first and last trip!
Have been excited to come here for a while. Unfortunately we probably won’t be back. The food did not taste good. Even though the service was very slow, we are understanding with Covid short-staffing, so that did not play a part in our feelings. There are so many more better ATL restaurants that deserve our service. Wish it could have been better.
Food was excellent, albeit a wee bit salty. Wife had trout and sides, I had scallops and sides. Sat outside, our Server was trying to work tables indoors and outdoors and thus, slightly slower service than we’d have liked, but he was kind, friendly, got our order correct and was on it when time to pay check. Road traffic was a bit loud.
Bang Bang Shrimp, Seafood Gumbo and an icy Paloma made for a great lunch experience. Hammocks has a great enclosed bar area and outdoor seating. Great spot for family dining.
If you the best Oyster's Rockefeller in Atlanta.........you go to Hammock's!
Bar tender did great job making a Tequila Moscow Mule and dining out side on porch is
great unless a family of young kids sits next to you
Have Marcel wait on you.............very attentitve
Waiter was terrible, food mediocre. Have eaten there for years. Probably won’t return
Their oysters rock my world and beach-fare / vibe make me and my wife feel like we are on vacation every time we visit. Love it! A++
This food was FANTASTIC. I think it was cooked by the hands of Jesus lol but seriously Chef Alex has a special gift with cooking these meals. The service WAS AWESOME thanks to our server Shannon. Everything was magnificent and we will definitely be back soon!!!
Food was good. Mussels appetizer was delicious. Service was not very good. The server brought food and hardly acknowledged us. Asked for bread but never came. Decor needs refresher
good place with casual food and nice beer menu. the food was tasty but would not complain if more options were not fried or calorie bombs. service was slow but that is normal now that everyone is short servers. would definitely come back and sit outside again.
The food was great as was the service! We were seated in an area that was too noisy for us and the hostess kindly let us move to a quieter area of the restaurant.
One of my location restaurants now. 2 visits and never disappointed.
The food here was not the greatest. I was expecting more since I saw this restaurant on Atlanta Eats and everything looked soooo good. Turns out, that was not the case at all. The server had to be waved down several times all visit long and still would not come over each time. There was hair on my plat that just made me ill!!! I will say the manager attempted to make things right by giving me the food that I was able to eat for free, which was very sweet of her and I genuinely appreciated it, however I barely ate anything. I'd say less salt in the veggies, and more flavor in your seafood, for starters. I gave it a try because the menu really looked appealing, however, this place was definitely ONE - AND - DONE - for me.
Great food and service. Good, strong mixed drinks. Extremely good value for really good food
Food was delicious. Service was great. No rush to leave.
This was our first Mother’s Day without my amazing Mom. We booked a reservation because the menu looked very appealing! I had to leave a rating even though we didn’t even get served drinks. I can’t tell you how the food was. However, we were seated after arriving approximately 10 minutes early to for our reservation. After we were seated, we waited a while and no one ever came to the table. We watched employees walk by but no one stopped. A party of three seated themselves at the table next to us and about 3 minutes after they were seated, a waiter came and took their drink order. We sat there for about 2 more minutes and decided to leave. I asked to speak to the manager (I’m not a Karen) to relay our experience. He advised me that they were in the middle of shift change and that it was no excuse. I’ve been to many other restaurants and didn’t have an experience like that one just because it was “in the middle of shift change.” We went down the road to Hugo’s Oyster Bar and coincidentally, they were in the middle of shift change and still didn’t miss a beat. Will not be returning but I hope you guys figure out how to treat your customers. Thank you Hugo’s for helping us not to feel so down. As for Hammocks.....
I had been wanting to try this place and we were pleased that they had outdoor dining. It was on a busy road, so be aware of this if you eat outside. I had the lobster roll, which was delicious and our party also had the fried shrimp and the fish over grits. Everyone enjoyed their food and the cocktails were also very good. I would definitely eat here again.
Mother’s Day. The food was hot and fresh the waitress service was wonderful!!!!
Great selection of appetizers and entrees. Meal was perfectly seasoned. Portion size was big. Food came in looking good. Atmosphere was great. Felt like a beach paradise. Perfect place for friends and family to get together and have a good time.
Everything from the service to the food was awesome!
The meal was okay. I thought the gumbo was okay but not special. The Fish and Chips were fine but not special. My son order Jumbo Scallops but they were not jumbo to me. So nothing bad but just not a must visit again experience.
Good times had by all!!
Would. Not. Do. Again.
First off - service was next to non existent. We were seated on the patio and then waited and waited and waited for almost everything. Our appetizer came out only minutes before our main course - meaning we couldn't finish the appetizer. Had to ask another server for water and we had no silverware or plates for quite some time. We also waited about 10 minutes after our plates were cleared for someone to come by and ask us if we wanted the check.
Second - the food is mediocre at best. Our initial selections were "out" even though it did not appear to be a daily menu. Everything we asked for was "just sold the last one". The Shrimp Po'Boy and Salmon BLT were just ok - nothing to write home about. Just food.
This restaurant skews older generation and reminds me of a place you'd find somewhere in Florida. We will not be back.
One of our new favorites. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Little delay in seating although had reservation. Otherwise, great experience
Excellent food and service. We sat outside and we were very comfortable.
Food is always great. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great neighborhood place.
Two out of three in my party were very happy with the food. One guest said his fish was overcooked and dry.
I love hammocks and hammocks loves me the bond is real. Thank you so much.
Great menu and great food! This was our first visit so not sure what to expect but it exceeded our expectations! It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed but it was extremely loud. Other than the noise level it was a great dining experience!
Too noise to talk comfortably in my opinion. I thought my trout sandwich for $18 was sure not worth it. Waiter with The Lord Supper tattoo was very nice.
We wanted to try some place new that served seafood and this was an available spot with reservations at the time we wanted. The atmosphere was pleasant along with the great staff who were working. All of the staff were wearing their masks, properly, and kept them on the entire time we were there. The drinks were nice and the food was amazing. The scallops were large and tasty and the grouper entry was well seasoned and delicious. The parking is tough as there isn’t ample space when it’s busy so we had to park at the adjacent business and pay a little tip to the business to not get booted. A small thing for a great experience. We will be back regardless of the parking.
