Always a great meal and great service!
We enjoy seafood and oysters and this place did not disappoint.
The grouper sandwich was “Florida “ fresh and grilled to perfection.
Oysters were also excellent, however the crackers were stale.
We’ll be back!
Our party of 5 had a great meal on their patio which was very private! June, our waiter, could not have been more attentive and gracious. Raw oysters (yum!!), oysters Rockefeller, hush puppies, fish tacos, blackened redfish, sauteed trout, collards, spinach, cucucumber-tomato-onion salad. Everything was cooked to perfection and served hot (except the raw oysters - served icy cold). Owner Jason Selzer does not disappoint at this wonderful restaurant that is a staple in our community!
Great food at a reasonable price.
Shannon (our server) provided EXCELLENT service … we told her it was our 1st time there, so she made several item suggestions (which we accepted), they all were spot on! Definitely recommend this place… will be going back!
Especially good selection of local beers on draft. Chargrilled NC Rainbow Trout was outstanding.
I ordered a grilled grouper sandwich, and the piece of fish was about 1/3 the size of the bun and the bun was normal size. An over abundance of remoulade sauce was perhaps the compensation. The slaw was good. My husband enjoyed his fried oyster po boy.
Our dining companions both ordered the grilled trout which was dry and over cooked, but the mac and cheese and the sweep potato fries were good.
Me and my family has an amazing time! We met the owner, chef and sous chef and they were very pleasant. Definitely recommend and will come back.
The food was good, especially the hush-puppies, and the outdoor seating was wonderful but the highlight of the night was the staff! From the bartender to the wait staff, we haven't had better in a long time. I wish I remembered their names so I could give special shout-outs.
The menu had changed since we were last there, not as good as remembered
We were disappointed with the overall experience
Excellent food and service
Maurice was our waiter - he and the food and drinks were Great!!
It was our first time and everything was really good. Our waiter was great food was great I love the ambience
Been here SEVERAL times- food's GREAT! A hidden find! The blackened catfish atop the pepper grits is fantastic- big portion and very tasty!
Main meal presentation and food quality not so great
Food was good, service was slow. It is pretty noisy
The food was excellent. The service was not great. We waited an hour for our food. The manager came and comped us for our drinks when she said our food was wrong. This was after an hour of us waiting. Then, they spilled a glass of water on us. We had to ask for replacement napkins. They didn’t check back with us until we asked for the check. Some servers were doing a great job as I noticed them from afar, but our server wasn’t great. I would’ve been more understanding if he had provided better service and was attentive.
Yummy food, casual vibe, pleasant waitress—we will return again!
Everything great except the noise level. Made an otherwise delightful meal uncomfortable.
What a hidden gem! We had the gumbo, bangin shrimp, shrimp pasta and stuffed grouper….. oh and the chocolate cake. I hate I forgot our servers name but she was amazing and the rest of the staff was nice! Will be back!
Lobster rolls were great. Oysters were yummy. Fried cheesecake was just alright. Service was excellent!
The floor was sticky and the chairs were sticking to the floor so bad feet on the chairs came off and were stuck to the floor. Food wasn't seasoned the best. The service good and the drinks were really good. Because it seems like a nice spot for the night crowd with the bar and outdoor seating id recommend for that.
Consistently Great Food. Friendly Staff. Comfy Bar Scene.
Not crowded indoors but noise level was high and stopped us from conversing comfortably
Sat outside so noise level was low. The bang bang shrimp appetizers was disappointing as it seemed frozen. We ordered the bang bang shrimp and the calamari. The calamari was good. The entrees were very good. Service was ok, average at best.
Ronald was a great server who took awesome care of us and food was delicious!
Parking can be a challenge at this restaurant that is very reminiscent of a casual Florida seafood diner. Our service was excellent (and always has been) but the table next to us wasn’t as fortunate with their server. Drinks arrived quickly as did our soups and entrees. All were very good. The she crab soup is excellent. They have had trouble with their food supplier so some menu items (crab) were not available. Overall a pleasant evening. I’ve been several times and will continue to return.
Everything was great except for the parking. I could not find a parking place on either side of the restaurant and I was late as a result. Our table outside was given to someone else. The two businesses on either side were full as well so the only way I could park was across the street and have to cross back over Roswell Road. UGH!
We love the good here and it’s a nice little gem in sandy springs! Great place for oysters.
Best oyster ever!
The food was simple and tasty. That is what I like and what I eat. Was able to sit outside and besides the cars on Roswell Road, it was a fine dinner with good friends.
Great oysters and seafood. Beachy feel to the restaurant. Wish it wasn't located on a noisy street but otherwise great. Not cheap, but no good seafood is.
Simply did not live up to what we expected, service was slow, jalapeño cheese oysters were close to being inedible, and the rest of the entrees were just okay. The jalapeño hush puppies were the only item worth talking about.
The booth we sat in had a spring poking through the vinyl and it ripped the seat out of my shorts!! I told the waitress, but she didn’t seem overly concerned.
No big deal, lesson learned, first and last trip!
Have been excited to come here for a while. Unfortunately we probably won’t be back. The food did not taste good. Even though the service was very slow, we are understanding with Covid short-staffing, so that did not play a part in our feelings. There are so many more better ATL restaurants that deserve our service. Wish it could have been better.
Food was excellent, albeit a wee bit salty. Wife had trout and sides, I had scallops and sides. Sat outside, our Server was trying to work tables indoors and outdoors and thus, slightly slower service than we’d have liked, but he was kind, friendly, got our order correct and was on it when time to pay check. Road traffic was a bit loud.
Bang Bang Shrimp, Seafood Gumbo and an icy Paloma made for a great lunch experience. Hammocks has a great enclosed bar area and outdoor seating. Great spot for family dining.
If you the best Oyster's Rockefeller in Atlanta.........you go to Hammock's!
Bar tender did great job making a Tequila Moscow Mule and dining out side on porch is
great unless a family of young kids sits next to you
Have Marcel wait on you.............very attentitve
Waiter was terrible, food mediocre. Have eaten there for years. Probably won’t return
Their oysters rock my world and beach-fare / vibe make me and my wife feel like we are on vacation every time we visit. Love it! A++
