My wife and I have been to Hall Street a number of times and have always enjoyed the experience. Sadly this time we were let down. We had reservations for 7:00 pm and when we arrived we were told they were running late and it would be 10 or 15 minutes. Okay, no big deal. After 10 or 15 minutes they told us every few minutes that it would be just a couple more minutes. We were finally seated a little after 7:35 pm. Our waiter took a little longer than he should to come by the table and when he did he saw we were dining with a Groupon and was going to be "right back" with the Groupon (Chef's Special) menu. That took another 10 minutes or so. While we were waiting for the menus we ordered a bottle of wine, which it turned out they were out of, but of course they had plenty of (more expensive) options available. When the appetizer was delivered the waiter asked if we wanted bread and butter to go along with the next (salad) course. We said yes, but it never arrived. Shortly after receiving the appetizer the waiter came back to inform my wife that they were out of the Mahi Mahi but they had another seafood dish they could substitute, to which she agreed. When we got our meals they were delicious, but the service and organization that evening could have been much better.

Service was a little slow and I didn't get the shrimp with my meal. But we loved Hall Street. I'm bummed that is is closed now. :(

Our server was Nathan. He provided excellent non-intrusive service. The courses were well timed. We were able to linger over our family dinner and enjoy being together.

Had note been here for quite a few years.
Ford was wonderful.
N.Y. strip was great rivals specialty steak houses. Salmon was tasty

Waiter was slower than slow.

Cost was too high.

We were there for Valentines Day. When we mentioned that our waiter wasn't very attentive, the restaurant manager went above-and-beyond to make our special night exceed expectations. We enjoyed a memorable dinner and would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will return ourselves.

The feel of this restaurant is very nice but casual enough to not feel uncomfortable. The only let down was that I wasn't seated until 25 minutes after my reservation time.

Service was outstanding. The food was good- pea salad and wedge salad great. The raviolis were delicious, the sole was okay- mainly deep fried and sad to say a bit greasy for such a good piece of fish, but all in all the meals were enjoyable. The bread pudding was excellent. It is a bit pricey- but the ambiance for a special occasion was worth it.

The dinner was excellent believe it not the mashed potatoes actually tasted liked they should and the veggies were great my prime rib was very tasty and tender.

However your draft beer selection needs some additions how about some really good Oregon draft beers, (IE) widmere Hefe the wine selection needs some work too, Oregon has some work class Pinior Noir wines .!!!!!

all in all it was an excellent experience and great food.

This has always been one of our go to restaurants for special occasions. We have always had the most wonderful service and the food is something that was fabulous. I am not sure what happened to this place between last May and this February but something has changed and not for the better. We were given a table that was right next to a busing station and within 15 feet of the Kitchen. The noise level was incredible. Our waiter was inattentive and slow. The food however was the biggest disappointment. There was no seasoning to anything. I do not think that the chef has ever heard of salt and pepper. If they think that putting truffle butter on the steak will make an unseasoned piece of meat taste fabulous, then they are wrong.. Very overpriced for what we got. We will sadly have to find another place to go for celebrations on the Westside now that this restaurant is off our radar permanently.

We had the 4 Course Meal Deal, I would not recommend it. Our appetizers not on deal were outstanding, "mushroom chèvre strudel"and our favorite "pea salad" . The coconut prawns were soaking in sweet chili sauce, the caesar was bland and the mahi-mahi was too sweet with mango salsa and sugary puree. The steak was cooked perfectly with fingerling potatoes . The creme brûlée was excellent with a yummy brittle on the side.

We love to go to Hall Street Grill for the prime rib. The salads are always wonderful and they'll bring me vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup to finish the meal off right.

Horrible service. Our table was not ready at the time of our reservation. After our server introduced himself, it took so long for him to return that a manager who stopped by to see how everything was, then offered to take our order. In fact, only twice through the entire night did the same person stop by our table. Food was good. Not great though. Menu says all meats are "prime" but were obviously not. Not bad, but I often buy prime for special occasions at home, and this was "choice" at best. Prices were WAY out of line. Maybe if service and food was better, but $38 for a 10 oz prime rib is a bit much for a lesser class of meat that was obviously not a full 10 oz. Lots of other area restaurants are just as nice and just as good for far less than half the price!
