    At the Halfway Inn, we pride ourselves on offering delicious dishes and a comfortable atmosphere. Our cosy dining areas complete with log burning fires, flagstone floors and wattle and daub walls, make for the perfect place to enjoy a spot to eat. During the summer months, our beautifully bright airy garden room and extensive outside seating areas are perfectly positioned for guests to dine al ’fresco. We’ve got everyone’s taste buds covered, from traditional pub classics like our Beer Battered Fish and Chips to our speciality dishes like our Vegan Five Bean and Lentil Chilli.

    We had a roast dinner here. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Food was delicious, the best roast dinner I have had at a pub/restaurant in a long time. My daughter, who is a very fussy eater, also ate everything on her plate. Although busy it was still quick service and easy to hear each other speaking. A great experience all round.

    We booked here for the first time on a Sunday for a roast, and it didn’t disappoint. One of the best roasts we have ever had. We also saw some of the other dishes going out and they looked amazing too. It was a lovely pub and the staff were brilliant. We have driven past this pub many times and never stopped to go in, That will no longer be the case. Highly recommend

    A welcome return to a fantastic venue that, somehow, just gets better and better every year we visit. Beautifully set 16th Century inn with stunning red roses climbing the immaculate white rendering. Chose Nachos to start and Jerk Chicken for main. The skin of the chicken was the stuff that dreams are made of - crisp and stunningly tasty - but just a prelude to the perfectly cooked and substantial meat beneath. Only regret was being too stuffed for pud! Unbelievably, by far the cheapest meal we’d had in 9 straight nights of dining-out. Thoroughly recommended.

    Great meal and excellent, friendly service. We both had the calamari to start, followed by the hot smoked trout for me and pork tomahawk for husband. Both too full up for dessert. Recommended

    Excellent food on a busy Sunday. We all (6) wanted meals from the menu and I’m gluten free. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was great.

    We stopped by for dinner before driving back from a day at the beach. The staff were very busy, yet incredibly helpful. We were warned of a bit of a wait, but the food arrived in good time. There is not a huge amount of choice but the food is delicious. The home made curry was incredible. A lovely place would strongly recommend it if you're looking for tasty food after a day in the sun.

    Booked in advance and on arrival told main ovens out and would be delay. In actual fact our menu choices came very quickly. Starters (whitebait and calamari) were small portions and probably out of freezer because of time to delivery. Not the best and quite expensive. But Halfway House main courses we chose (smoked trout and mushroom sirloin were much better, tasty and good portions at a fair price. Service was quicker than anticipated. It was a Monday evening on a sunny day so not too busy.
