Several seafood dishes that were fried had nearly identical flavors. We were not told this by the server. Food is rather ordinary. Years ago, it was much better: food and service b

Wonderful choices and stimulating atmosphere. Traditional Peking Duck served two ways was fantastic! Lobster soup! Cocktails!

Server needed some remedial training. Failed to tell us about the specials. Not knowledgeable about menu. Did not return in timely fashion to check on us. Gave us the wrong bill so we got to wait another 10 minutes for him to come around again.

Always a favorite of ours with excellent service, an exciting menu, and an ambience reminiscent of some of the finest eateries in Hong Kong.

This was my first visit to Hakkasan and I ordered from the prix-fixe menu. I ordered the vegetarian options (lettuce cups, "chicken" with snap peas, fried rice, chocolate truffles) and they were delicious. The service was excellent, but plan extra time as the dishes do take some time to arrive. The ambience was very good and the only reason I gave it only 4 stars was the use of incense in the bar area and the smell floated into the dining area. It may have been something special for Chinese New Year.

Overall, it was a great dining experience and I will be back.

Interesting cuisine that is not your usual Asian offerings. Extremely good. A bit noisy, but service is excellent.

I know it was Valentine's Day but the restaurant seemed not prepared. We placed our order for the dim sum platter and that came rather timely. As the other dishes were brought to the table, we realized there was no rice so we ordered the Fried Rice. It never came. It was at least 20 minutes after we had finished eating that our table was cleared and I asked about the rice. About 10 minutes later, someone came by (not our waitress) to tell me that our rice had not been started and I cancelled it. We ordered a noodle dish, the steak, jumbo prawns and a vegetable. I asked for dessert menus and we received those and got our desserts eventually. They were beautiful - although for $16 to $18, they should be. This is only my 2nd time eating here. There were 4 of us - our reservation was for 11:45, we got there at 11:50. We left at 1:25. I won't be back - the food wasn't special (except the desserts) and that incense smell for those in our party with allergies was way too strong.

Food was ok but overpriced. Smoked duck came w/o buns and service/ chef were not willing to provide them as incremental side although they are available with another item on the menu (even at a charge).
3 different servers w/o coordination in one hour.
Disappointing. Do not recommend to come here for dinner.

Food is awesome. Best hot and sour soup I ever had. The dim sum are little delicious works of art. But the service is so disappointing. This was my third visit, and I've been disappointed by the service every time. We wanted dessert and after dinner drinks but we waited so long for the waitress to come back that we gave up and went to a bar instead. If they could just fix the service this would be a perfect restaurant.

The food is delicious, always. The crispy duck salad, the tofu aubergine, crab and scallops noodles, the Chinese broccoli- all delish👌The silver noodle tea and the virgin hakka drinks were so worth it. And the dessert - coconut chocolate tapioca was light and perfect. My wish is that for the price, that the servings would be larger.

The place has a very broad selection of Chinese cuisine that reminds me of Hong Kong. The dumplings platter (Veg/ Non-Veg) are a must try and the Tofu was also good. Shrimp, Ribs, and Rice were also decent. Everybody was happy after the lunch and felt good for choosing the place. The place is right across the street from Market Street.

I was in town for SaaStr and asked the concierge for a recommendation for the best Chinese food in walking distance from the venue. Everything was on point from the spicy drinks to the dumplings to the spicy prawns and black pepper ribeye and spicy noodles. High ticket for Chinese food, but well worth it.

Open table reservation worked fine. Waitress explained menu well, and was attentive. Food was incredible and very impressive. Good portions so my business guests did not starve. Chiu chao sea bass was buttery and cooked only to perfection. Dim sum was very good. Highly recommended. Two for lunch ~$150-$200 incl tip.

Unfortunately this visit did not match or come near my expectations from my previous dining experiences at another Hakkasan. The service was the worst part of our dining experience at the San Francisco location. Our waiter stumbled through service, forgot to put our order in, dumped food on the table while attempting to serve, and lagged significantly in timing for dishes. The table of four which sat next to us 10-15 minutes after we arrived, had three courses served and completed before we even got our cocktails. The waiter took our order and then 20 minutes later came by and asked us if we received our food yet. When we said 'no' he asked us to repeat our order. When the food was served, he did not bring the proper utensils or items that would be needed to eat the dish (small forks to eat the lobster meat, warm wet towels to clean your hands, bowl for the shells, condiments, etc.). Wine that was to paired with specific dishes arrived later after dishes were already completed. When our duck salad came to the table, our waiter asked us if we would like for him to mix and serve it. He tried to serve it with a fork and spoon grasping at the salad like tongs and dumped the salad on the table instead. Throughout all of this night, he tried to act like our buddy and friend. We did not need a buddy - we wanted a waiter who knew what he was doing.

The front desk service was miserable. They were dismissive and I had to repeat my name 6 times from the time I got there to the time I was seated. When we got there, they told us our table wasn't ready. When we told them we would wait at the bar, they didn't have to decency to find us. Instead, they gave our table away saying that they texted us.

The saving grace is the service at the tables and sommelier were great. But we aware of the front desk, they are overwhelmed and rude.

Visit on holiday noon with friends, a bit worry about the holiday will affect the service or the food, but Hakkasan did a great job providing their food and service, nice bar, cool fusion Chinese food with good quality, same level good food you can have in Shanghai, Beijing or Taipei, the dim sum plate and duck salad are great.
