Hakkasan - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
So disappointed! My regular Hakkasan in NYC and Mykonos, Greece step up regularly w/service, food, and ambience. Tonight I took 2 business associates to a business dinner we planned a year ago. I wanted to impress and have them looked after properly w/the regular NYC-Hakkasan standards. Someone outside the restaurant was trying to get passers-by interested in eating in Hakkasan, which was our first clue that they're desperate. Inside, we were the only diners. Nobody welcomed us and asked us if we'd been here before or informed us how dishes come out and get shared, as they always explain in NYC. I wanted my guests to get the full experience. Once seated, we were ignored. I had to ASK for someone to take our drink orders. Then I had to ASK to place starters. Then I had to ASK for the rest of the starters to come after we sat w/remnants of food and plates for over 20 minutes. Then I had to ASK for desserts. The place was NOT understaffed and only 3 additional tables we counted an hour after we were seated. What a disappointing shame to leave feeling ignored and abandoned. I apologized to my guess and said that Hakkasan in NYC is still something they should give another chance.
The food was bland, boring and frankly very disappointing, especially for the price. You can get better Chinese food from a take out restaurant. I ordered the sautéed beef in merlot and the sauce was indistinguishable from my dining companion's sea bass dish. It was supposedly to be cooked medium rare, which it most certainly was not. It is shocking how it positions itself as a high end restaurant and serves such flagrantly tasteless food. The service was fine. The atmosphere is typical Vegas, a bit too loud with tacky interior design. Lesson learned: in Vegas, stick to the steak houses, and seafood restaurants. There is a lot of good food choices in Vegas, Hakkasan is definitely not one.
We came for dinner before seeing a circ show, we had to rush at the end of the meal because we were running late ( our fault, not Hakkasan's) the server was excellent at accommodating us so we didn't miss the show.
We loved the food...particularly the, sweet and sour Porto with pomegranate and the Hakka noodles.
Great ambiance, food and service!
The restaurant lives up to the reputation of the club and the food was amazing. The service was just OK, good however not the best but the food was dynamite. Highly recommend the Hakkasan Steamed Dim Sum Platter as well as the Hakka Fried Dim Sum. The Jasmine tea-smoked beef ribs were out of this world also, everything was just delicious. For dinner we ate an array of things, all were fantastic including the Crispy chicken with mango and plum sauce, the Stir-fry black pepper ribeye with merlot and chicken fried rice... every dish was absolutely delicious.
Could not wait to go back after our last time at this restaurant, but will never go back again! We had a 8:00 reservation and about an hour later we were seated . After 20 minutes and no waiter we complained and asked for the manager. No apologies, arrogant and rude he basically said do you want to order or not. $300 later for basically appetizers we were out. Do not waist your time or money at this place! We will never go back!
Our experience here was slightly less than expected, we had been to Hakkasan - New York and were delighted with the restaurant, and we were looking forward to this meal very much, possibly we'd built up the expectation a little too much, however, our experience was that; everything was in a hurry, the servers were literally running around, the food was coming out as it was ready and not together which resulted in my Wife's food being finished and cleared by the time mine was out. If we were told this then we could have asked for change or at least have been prepared. However the Server was rushing about that he was only able to achieve the minimum standard for the restaurant, and not that high level of customer service that we were treated to in New York. Albeit, we did speak to him when we got the opportunity, (no check back) and explained that we didn't want the same to occur for our entree, and he apologised and made sure they came out together.
In saying that, the food was tremendous, the lighting was perfect and intimate, the music was great and the menus, (food, cocktails, wine) were extensive and good Value considering where we were.
We left feeling satisfied, and a little underwhelmed. However will not put us off Hakkasan as the food is so good, Looking forward to trying Hakkasan - London next
It took almost an hour for our food to come out, which would have been fine, but the good came out cold. They did remove some items off of our bill and offered us free drinks - which was very nice of them to do but when you're looking forward to your meal and it comes out cold it's very disappointing.
I've been to the one in London and San Francisco and the food was way better. Don't know what happened this time but the food was just OK.
The Crispy Duck was way too spicy.
The Mango Chicken was flavorless.
The Dim Sum was awful, we couldn't even eat it.
This was the worst meal I have had chosen through Open Table. The service was spotty at best, the food was terrible, and the music horrible. The only redeeming thing was the free macaron acknowledging my birthday. I would never return.
Superb cocktails. Food was tasty (asian) but nothing special for the price you pay. I was expecting beautiful plating of dishes, but it came out in bowls that any street restaurant would present at half the cost. Deco was beautiful, there wasn't a lot of custom so it was very quiet.
Rich and all the staff in dining room were incredible. Excellent recommendations for food selections for those going there for first time. Reasonable price for such an establishment of its type. We then went to nightclub where staff was excellent and lots of fun. A little disappointed Lil Jon came out so late but overall Hakkasan dining and nightclub highly recommend for dates night or fun with friends!
