Hakkasan - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
The food was fine. My complaint is that the restaurant lists it's final seating at 10:30pm but closed the kitchen by 10:15pm. We had a 9:45pm reservation (after a show at the MGM) for which we arrived a bit early. We declined their invitation to have a drink at the bar prior to seating since we planned on a bottle of wine with dinner. After opening the wine and ordering our first two small plates, the waiter informed us that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes and we had to order anything else we might want. We ended up with a table full of rapidly cooling small plates. Fastest $200+ meal I've ever eaten. Good thing we passed on the drink at the bar.
First time, won't be the last! We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Hakkasan. Our waitress was great! She was enthusiastic with her recommendations and was spot on! Oh, and she was 6 months pregnant and couldn't have been nicer. We loved the Crispy Duck salad (would eat this as a lunch everyday). Our entrees were great!
See you next time we're in Vegas.
We went Hakkasan in MGM in Las Vegas.
We had been there 2 years ago and loved everything, so we were very looking forward to this time.
However, the food was disappointing.
We ordered the set menu #3, which was $150 per person.
We didn’t see the value.
The amount was tooo much.
The worst items were, the roasted duck and fried rice.
So called “The truffle infused duck” had no truffle flavor but too much anise in it.
The fried rice smelled like unwashed rise.
After all, We would have appreciated less quantity with better quality.
The drink and desserts were good, though.
We chose to dine at Hakkasan before going to see KA at the MGM Grand. Gorgeous décor, great cocktails (I recommend the Hakka), warm and attentive service. The food comes in good portion sizes and is a great value considering the other restaurants in the area and the space itself. We were celebrating two birthdays and half of our party was stuck in traffic. The restaurant happily took two sets of orders and brought out two birthday desserts with candles with no complaints at all. Highly recommended for dinner, plus you can head to the Hakkasan nightclub after or see KA without having to leave MGM Grand and get an Uber elsewhere.
Very happy, great choice for dinner, go here with a large group of friends or for a romantic, fun dinner for two.
Trendy restaurant with cool lighting. It is at the MGM grande. The food here is Asian - mostly Chinese. They have clearly marked vegetarian items & the waitress Leigh knew what was vegan. The service was very good. They have some excellent mocktails, & I had tried some of them with my wife at their San Francisco location. Last night, I had the virgin hakka mocktail which was a coconut, lychee comb & that was great. I had the vegetarian chicken as my entree with steamed rice & that was filling - the texture was good but not much flavor. The portion was small but perfect for me. The coconut lychee desert was great as well.
This meal was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten! My husband and I split the vegetarian menu, and it was all exceptional! We had so much food, we were totally stuffed and beyond happy! Well worth the price because everything was expertly prepared and delicious. Would definitely come back again and recommend to others.
My friend and I recently dined here before a show. I read the mixed reviews, but based on the reviews of the food and the fact that it was a Wednesday and a slow night, we took a chance. I wish we hadn’t.
The service was awful. They offer multiple types of dinner menus in addition to the alacarte options, and we wanted to sort of get a good idea of the food so we picked the “las Vegas” menu with the wine pairing. First- our waiter couldn’t properly explain any of the food we asked about and when we ordered told us that the portions were shareable.. they were not.
The food was bland and overall tasteless and the wine was just dropped off in front of me with any explanation. When I asked what it was the waiter stumbled and could not give a good description. I purchased the reserve wine pairing for myself and this was an extreme disappointment.
When dessert came it was just as tasteless as the food. The waiter never asked if we were ok or how our food was, but the busser did. I wish I could’ve left a tip for him instead of the waiter. Don’t waste your time with this restaurant. It’s over priced and the food, experience and drinks are far from worth it.
