Chinese
Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original Hakkasan restaurant. This Michelin starred Chinese restaurant was designed by the famed Christian Liaigre, the intricate wooden lattice screens, carved out of dark English oak, invite discerning guests for a unique dining experience with contemporary cuisine. The menu has a strong Chinese ethnic identity with an ethos of Cantonese cooking.
Hakkasan and Lucy Choi London are partnering in celebration of London Fashion Week 2019.
Lucy Choi has created the Hakkasan Collection, three limited edition shoes inspired by Hakkasan, including the Mayfair, a red stiletto, and the Hanway Place, a black flat decorated with an embroidered tiger symbolising power, ferocity and beauty.
To coincide with the launch, the Hakkasan Collection menu showcases signature dishes alongside an exclusive dessert served in a glossy black shoebox as well as a cocktail, the Choi Ling. The menu is available until Sunday 17th November.

Excellent tasting menu! The duck and beef were cooked exceptionally well. The sea bass was dry and was a let down

The food was good, but it was way too much. The drinks were not good. Overall, I’d say the experience was ok, but with so many other restaurants in London, I don’t think we’ll be coming back. Ever.

The food was average, nothing great. The service was extremely rushed. It’s as if they wanted us to get out as quickly as possible. We wanted to take our time and spend a while however felt like they wanted us out of there.

Really enjoyable food with good advice on menu and wines. Staff were particularly good at organising gluten free option. All staff were friendly and attentive. Also impressive was the array of drinks available at the bar. Seating and lighting levels were very comfortable. The range of wines were to the expensive end.

I appreciate Hakassan is always going to be expensive, I get that; but then the food has to deliver – and it doesn't. I've been coming here for years and I love the place – the atmosphere and service are still exceptional – but the food, oh my goodness – we had beef short rib (£39) and clay pot kitchen (£21) the cheapest on the menu, incidentally; and it was shockingly poor - the beef was fatty (and not on the bone) and the chicken was tough and chewy. Also, it's such a shame what they've done with their Dim Sum offering just £39 for 2 platters of frankly deeply ordinary Dim Sum. As for the wine, starting at £39 a bottle and going up to crazy prices. Such a shame, it's just laziness and greed. I will be sticking with Yautcha and it's amazing Dim Sum; and Duck & Rice for it's frankly awesome Jasmine scented beef short ribs.

Enjoyed the Chinese New Year special menu. Food was both creative and excellent. A little overpriced though.

Overpriced for the level of service and food.
A genuine mediocre experience for 270 £...
Also turn up the lights so people can instagram their food.. all of those flashs from peoples phones was pretty distracting (every 30 seconds)

Phenomenal experience. Loved everything from the wine to the dessert. Would recommend for a special occasion or just a normal weekend brunch.

Was really disappointed with the service, waited for over 35 minutes for a drink to be brought to my table. Some of the food was ok yet other pieces let down by amount of salt used cooking!!! Was so loud I had trouble hearing my guests conversation. Was really disgusted by the fact Hakasans website states no sportswear or tracksuits yet I had table of 18 men’s dresses in tracksuits an sportswear an even made some disgusting comments to my guest!!!

Food service very rushed having ordered the £120 tasting menu - food arrived way ahead of cocktails that were ordered when we first got there. No one filled up water glasses when empty - had to continue to ask for this. We asked to swap one of the small dishes and picked a similar priced dish (actually £3 cheaper on the menu) and was told it would be at an extra cost of £8 per person!?! Thumping dance music with no relevance to the style and culture of food and way way too loud - therefore everyone in restaurant needing to shout at each other to be heard! Had no voice left by the end of the night.
Was not the first class service you would expect - remember going here regularly years ago and absolutely loved it - shame as wont be going back in a hurry after a very average experience.
