A place without a soul. Not for those who want to look for relaxed, high-class cuisine. This is highly efficient feeding of the masses. Must be a cash mashine for its owners. Food ok, but way too expensive for the quality. Wine list old fashioned, none of the hot wine producers of France, Germany on the list. The only off-dry Riesling sold out. Bad illumination, terribly noisy. Service friendly but we felt just being guests to be churned through the huge machine. I do not have the faintest idea how this place supposedly earned a Michelin star, it definitely would not deserve it now. My biggest disappointment yet for the last two years. For half the price and half the noise it would have been ok, though.
Superb food and service, we will return for sure to taste another menus
The food is good but a bit disappointing for a Michelin Star
Nice place but service is slow and not very professional
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, celebrating a big birthday. From the wonderful cocktails at the bar to begin with to the beautiful presented food at the table. The service was great with explanations of the food and really appreciated that when we enquired about the vegetarian chicken, a member of staff came over to advise of how it was made and where we could buy the ingredients. Perfect day. Thank you!
Love the food and place, my only complaint is that is incredibly noise. Difficult to have a conversation in the table.
The service was excellent and very attentive. My guest has an allergy to cloves and the waiter especially went to check with the kitchen as to the contents of the puddings. Full marks!
Everything was amazing, especially the food. We felt very kind after.
I have been coming to Hakkasan for years (often on a Sunday) and today was disappointing. The service was terrible - the basics were not followed. Had to ask for water, had to unfold the napkin ourselves, plates and drinks passed over the table from the opposite side. Barely any explanation of the food and the waiters seemed completely devoid of any personality, passion or excitement. Very disappointing.... it was a chance to show my friends how good Hakkasan is but they weren’t impressed and doubt will re-visit! Something was definitely missing today, maybe because it was a Sunday.
Wonderful food! Great service. The desserts were the only thing that was not outstanding
Booked a table for Dim Sum Sunday Lunch, everything was exceptional. Only desert could be better, but there was so much before it, that we didn’t need any desert at all. Would like to go again. Dim sum selection tasted and looked great.
The food was a bit unimpressing. I was expecting more from a place with this reputation.
Wonderful service! Everything else was just ok.
Unfortunately not a good experience. We went for their ‘signature’ peking duck. Our table was 20.00 on Saturday, they told us they were sold out. Not good prep, BUT, they did have the £350 Peking duck with caviar. Which means they hadn’t sold out of duck, they would only sell us the extremely expensive option. We declined. The rest of the meal was just OK. Not special and absolutely not worth the £500 bill for 4 people
I’m sorry but because of the loud noise the visit at Hakkasan was terrible! The music was too loud and monotonous. Beacause of that, everyone had to shout to each other. The food was fantastic but for me, a nice atmosphere also includes a restaurant visit and there were none at Hakkasan.
I took my twin sister to Hakkasan Hanway as a special treat and I must say, it was one of the best experiences of our lifetime. Food was insanely amazing, music was great, service was exceptional and everyone had a smile on their faces. Loved, loved, loved it. We will certainly recommend it to all our friends. 2 happy sisters
Tasty but expensive
Wonderful dim sum and free at the bar on Thursday evenings!
It has really gone down since I last visited... Apart from the desserts, which were excellent, The food was literally no better than recent takeaways that I've had at considerably cheaper prices... It felt all show and no substance... It is no longer a fine dining place. also, the menus are unnecessarily complex.
I had a really bad experience with Hakkasan. We went at 8:30pm and they were already sold out of one of their two chicken dishes. We ordered the clay pot chicken which came raw. We had to send it back but had the manager come and tell us that it isn’t raw and that’s the way it’s cooked. I then had to open up the chicken and show my server how pink it was. The other food we ordered was the Crispy Duck Salad, Vegetarian Dimsums, Egg Fried Rice. The food was average. There were also only 2 servers for 7-8 tables around us so the service was very slow and poor. Overall a really bad experience and not enough was done to make our experience better
We had a great time at Hakkasan Hanway Place. For my friend it was the first time dining at Hakkasan and she absolutely loved it. Everything was really perfect. The food was delicious as usual.
The waiting staff need some training in diversity. It appears that the staff like to group races together. Black diners appeared to say amongst other black diners and white diners together. It was an awful experience.
Went on Sunday for brunch. The food and the cocktails were great. I would definatly go back!
Terrible food. Very bland and boring. The service was truly awful too.
Excellent food and always a great experience like in all Hakkasan Places
Hakkasan was not just a restaurant, it was an experience. My guest and I ordered the Phoenix menu from the set menu and a Spanish wine that was beautifully aromatic. Our favorite dishes were the duck salad, Chilean seabass, and lamb chops. Though everything on the menu was delectable! The ambiance is young and trendy, and music played at a loud but not overwhelming volume. I will certainly be returning to Hakkasan at Hanway Place!
I have been coming to Hanway Place since 2004 and have always had a wonderful meal. It has now gone way down.
I understand the thinking behind the reduced menu but it has been cut back much too far. Our service was dreadful, waiting 40 minutes to start, one item we ordered was off, and then another 30 minutes for the rest of the food, until I complained when someone did give us special attention and reduced the bill which I appreciated.
There were 2 parties, which I understand are going to be very noisy but the screaming and shouting was too much, although not your fault.
This is one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining in all my travels around the world.
Your food, service and ambiance was perfect. The dishes were amazing and all very well priced as was the wine. If I ever get back to London I will be back on your door step. Thanks to all your crew. Andy
Very nice experience!
Can't say enough about this place, recommend to all our friends travelling to London, none that's went were disappointed. The Hakkasan signature menu is good value for money .
Lunch menu is great value and a lovely experience 😊
I love Hakkasan but there were a few things that were not up to par. I had a table booked for 8pm but we were not shown our table until 8.55pm. The service was incredibly slow and our drinks too a long time to arrive. Granted the drinks were taken
off the bill without us asking but we just wanted our table, food and drinks at the time we booked the table. We would have been happy paying the money for the drinks so we were not an hour late to eat our food. My friend had a gluten intolerance and her choices were extremely limited. This should be mentioned on the website. Although the restaurant had gluten free soya sauce available as a side, they were not able to cook her some dishes with this as a substitute. This was disappointing.
My first visit to the restaurant on recommendation. The food was wonderful and the service was good if a little slow but they were busy. I found as the restaurant got more busy the noise level was such it was difficult to hear the conversation with my friends. There could be some soft furnishing or even drapes to help soften the noise. On the whole however really enjoyed the evening
The food and service was up to its usual high standard, the sea bass with honey was out of this world.
I've loved Hakkasan for years, for its food and decor, but my last experience there left much to be desired. The staff and decor were great, but the portions are now outrageously small for the price and the food itself just isn't worth the money. You can dine at many high end restaurants in London and have a much better experience. I was also disappointed the new chef decided to add foie gras into staple Chinese dishes which none of us wanted to eat... Incredibly disappointing.
A wonderful Sunday lunch. Food was delicious and was a great experience. Can't wait to go back!
This is undoubtedly the best value Sunday lunch in town. As regulars it never disappoints
Amazing food! Great service! I’m definitely coming back for more!
We had a table at 9 pm on a Saturday. There wasn’t sufficient room at the bar to accommodate guests, so we ended up fighting for standing room. There is a wide choice of dishes. The wine list is very expensive. Flavours of dishes are outstanding.
Food was distinctly average for the price (£175 for 2 people, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 drinks) could of had a better from the local takeaway for £30
Great food and service - never felt rushed and would recommend.
