Hagemeister Park Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary as we had came to Green Bay for a mini-vacation. I had reservations for 6:30. Had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated. Ordered an appetizer and it was right out. Was really impressed...until we ordered our food. We waited over an hour for it. People that had arrived after us had already gotten their food, which didn't seem right. Went to a manager about it, and his response was.."we are on a 40-45 minute wait for food". Definitely wasn't understanding at all. I had never heard such a thing. When we finally got our food, mine was rather good, but, not super hot. My husband's was steaming. At the end, we did get our whole meal for free, but, we definitely won't be coming back.
We made reservations because it was a Packer weekend and knew every place would be crowded. It was very crowded. We had to wait a little while for the table, but not a big deal. The place is very large and has a lot going on. We were fortunate to be seated at the very back of the restaurant so we could actually enjoy a conversation and view the outdoor seating area. I'm guessing the people sitting closer to the bar aren't able to hear each other over the talking and music. Food was great and our server was very friendly. Yes, service is a bit slow, but that's to be expected as this place seats a large amount of people both indoors and out and it was extremely busy. We waited about 40 minutes from the time the order was placed until the meal came. Again, not a big deal because we had a large group and the place was hopping. It actually gave us time to catch up with everyone in the group and talk a bit before the food arrived. Overall, a great place. Great food, lively atmosphere and good time.
We have dined at here twice and went for drinks one time as well. Food has been really good both times and we will go back. A few things though.
1. High chairs were scarce if you bring little ones with on busy night.
2. Service has been slow on busy nights. Will take some time to get your food.
3. Figure out a different system for getting outdoor seating. Running back and forth from the front station to the outdoor station to figure out if there are tables available is kind of disjointed.
I was a bit concerned after I read some of the reviews regarding service and wait time at this restaurant. I was very happy that my concerns were not realized. Our waitress was very good, but did have quite a few tables and was very busy so a bit of a lag time between ordering and receiving drinks but nothing as bad as stated in previous reviews. We could see she was busy. The food was outstanding. My husband had the New York strip and I had the stroganoff. AWESOME!!! We would most definitely go back when in town again.
Abysmal experience. The waitress was somewhat indifferent from the outset and was extremely slow to visit the table for anything. She appeared to have two favourite tables and disappeared for a lot of the time outside of those.
To keep a long story short, when our food eventually did arrive, it was completely cold. One had a cold plate and the food was cold (salmon and vegetables), the other had a warm plate on the bottom but the food was completely cold. It was a chicken pot pie and could have made someone extremely sick if they ate it. There was gravy on the top of the pie and it was clearly, cold, congealed, and with a skin formed on the top. I cut the pie through the middle, no steam, and when I touched the filling it was barely warm. When the waitress eventually returned and we told her we wanted to return the food, she was not apologetic in the slightest and actually had a bit of an attitude about it. We elected to leave rather than have the food go in the microwave! The waitress dumped off a bill for the appetisers and drink we had received so far. Not an offer to discount, not a sorry, not a visit from the manager - just an unceremoniously dumped bill.
It's a shame because the place is very nice inside and I suspect the chefs may have done a good job with the food but the waitress had zero interest in providing any kind of a service. Won't be going back.
Was a beautiful afternoon so was hoping to grab an outdoor seat as the scene outside looked great. No seats available but inside was fine too. Food was a little slow coming out, probably about 40 minutes but server was good. Food was really good so it made up for the slowness. Will definitely come back.
We were there with our kids and grand kids. We had a table on the patio which is nice for the grand kids. Food is typical pub food, not bad, but nothing special. Beer selection was good and during happy hour very reasonably priced. They give you plastic cups for the beer, not great but not unusual on patios. Service was okay.
The grand kids could run around and have fun. The view is nice. It can be windy on the patio.
Food was good, but a very noisy restaurant, hard to hear the person sitting next to you. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, but two of our group received their entrees before their appetizer, and the rest of us received things in the correct order. You were out of the dessert we ordered, so right at the end we all had to change our dessert order, which was good.
My girlfriends and I had a show on 7/6/17 down the street @ 8:00 down the street and our reservation was for 6:15. Our waitress seemed relatively annoyed in general was a bit slow with drinks and then finally @ 7:30 we got an update that our food would be out shortly. By the time we got our food we asked for our bills and a manager at the same time as we were in a hurry now to quickly scarf down our food before we had to leave. The manager came over at 7:50 and seemed surprised that we would be upset. My friend asked if there was something she could do so she reluctantly took of one drink from each of our bills. (Each bill had 3 drinks, one entree and a split appetizer) I do not feel that was appropriate compensation for waiting over an hour for our food with no checkin.
Our service was extremely slow, both from the waitress and the kitchen. We had an 8:00 show at the Meyer which we told the waitress we were going to. We placed our order around 6:50 pm and got our food at 7:43 pm. We had to inhale our food and got to the show late. The waitress was also slow in ringing up our checks which we gave her as soon as the food came. We waited 10 minutes after we were done eating for the checks. I love the atmosphere and I am not one to complain, but this was not a good dining experience. The food was good and so were the drinks, but again it took so long to get our drinks and food. My group thought it would have been appropriate for the manager to take a drink off our bills but that didn't happen. None of us will be rushing back to eat/drink at Hagemesiter.
I made a reservation and made a special note to be seated outside, I called the next day just to make sure it was noted for the reservation and I was rudely told that they don't accept reservations for the patio. I feel like that should be noted before making the reservation. Once I arrived I asked if we could push together a couple tables and I was told no, there were only 3 other tables on the patio at that time that had people at them.
I put my name in for the larger table and had a seat by the fireplace. While I waited for others in my party to arrive I noticed multiplie times that the hosts would make people physically get up and move if they were not eating. I overheard a couple say "well this is uncomfortable let's just leave.."
Lastly, a little old lady walked in with her table of 5 and she wanted to sit in the shade (multiple tables were opened in the shade) and the host said I'm sorry no, gave her the menus and walked away.
Once we were sat at the larger table, our server Jenna..? Was great. Very attentive and quick.
It was just observing the things happening around me prior, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was a real turn off and I wished the staff was more accommodating.. I understand the need to keep in a rotation for the servers but there were multiple times where the customer "should've been right"
This is, without a doubt, the best special occasion Sunday brunch we have had. We have tried several and will definitely be coming back here. The quality of food, the preparation of food, as well as the variety of food is excellent. The only thing they could improve upon would be the waiting time for those with reservations. I'm guessing it's just a matter of actually booking more reservations them can be adequately serviced in a proper timeframe. Along that same line, would be the fact that the seating was crammed entirely too close together. BUT, even in spite of these minor issues, it's definitely well worth it !!
We ordered a medium rare steak and a BLT with an appetizer. The appetizer did take a little longer then we expected. They were not packed but busy so we just accepted it.
After waiting over an hour we asked for the food or bill. We got the bill after a manager went to the wrong table to offer a round of drinks. She did make it to the right table and apologized for the wait and offered us a round of drinks. We did not accept and went to another restaurant near by.
It was disappointing that this long of a wait was never addressed before during or after we ordered our food.
After a small hiccup with table size, the Easter Brunch was fantastic. Our server, Nicole, did an excellent job in making sure our beverages were refilled and the used plates were removed in a timely fashion. The variety of food offered was fantastic and the staff were quick in refilling items that were low. Would highly recommend this establishment and will return in the future. The beef tips were out of this world.
The food was okay, but nothing special. The prices on the menu were not the prices charged..not for food or drinks. The service was lackluster at best. And if you're in a hurry, forget it. It took us nearly 40 minutes to get our food, despite the fact that the restaurant was not terribly busy and we ordered the advertised special right when we sat down.
The place is supposed to be "Packer-themed" but we didn't see much of that either.
All in all, not worth the hassle of parking and not worth the time or the prices. Not recommended.
