Food was not prepared according to menu, it took quite a bit to make two salads in a mostly empty restaurant, and the food wasn’t worth the price.

I recently revisited Habitat for brunch with my best friend visiting from Michigan, hoping for a special meal in a stylish setting. I had been a few years ago when brunch was served buffet-style, and while the food wasn’t outstanding then, it was solid. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. Habitat has shifted to a prix fixe, coursed brunch format—no more buffet. At $45 per person, we expected a lot more in both quality and quantity. Portion sizes were extremely small for two people. The table starters, like cinnamon rolls, were nearly stale and hard. The frittata was dry and overcooked, and the burger was a basic patty with a cold bun—underwhelming for an upscale brunch experience. That said, the highlight of the entire meal was the bar. The bartender was phenomenal—attentive without hovering, and he crafted drinks that were tailored to our preferences. Truly top-tier service and execution on the cocktails. Our server was friendly and courteous as well. Dessert was the one food bright spot—nicely presented and actually enjoyable—but again, portion size was disappointingly small. All in all, brunch at Habitat felt overpriced for the food delivered. It’s a beautiful space, and the service was great, but the culinary side fell far short of expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it for brunch unless major changes are made to the menu and portions.

We ate there for Mother’s Day brunch. The food overall was very good for buffet (porchetta and chimmichuri especially), but for 90 dollars per person we expected a little more. Also the wait staff never refilled waters and stopped picking up our plates; we had to pile them to make room for dessert. It’s a great space and was still a nice way to spend Mother’s Day, but if we come back it’ll probably be for a regular meal.

Someone flunked cooking 101... kitchen got sunny side up eggs over medium. Waitress tried twice...we still tipped well ... but really? This was my first breakfast there... and I can honestly say I will stick to dinner menu
