A very relaxing environment; a true pleasure.
I was celebrating my birthday and I couldn’t have picked a better place to have it at. My server was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Thank you for making my first time experience a great one.
The entrees my wife and I chose were both visually appealing and pleasant to the palate. Portion size was good, and our servers were always ready to assist and take care of us.
We were having a girls weekend and celebrating my moms birthday. Everything was amazing.
Beautiful restaurant. Food and service were good, but not great.
Very pretty terrace. Food was good.
Never disappoints. Excellent service and food is a true value for the cost—certainly not inexpensive, but better value than comparable restaurants.
This restaurant is in the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook. It is easy to get to and valet parking is available. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant are exceptional and we had a fantastic meal with great wine. I will definitely be back!
We have been looking for a place to have a bridal luncheon and decided to give Habitat a try. It was an incredible experience beginning with the hostess and continuing all the way through the meal. Our server, Tanicia, I believe was her name was so friendly and helpful. The food was simply amazing and the variety was overwhelming! Excellent for special occasion dining. We will definitely be returning!
Food was good and great location. Service was just ok...bar waitress basically, no specials, slow, not very attentive but very nice. table clothes on tables would make HUGE difference...also the plates (soup bowl) was very unimpressive.
Service was excellent - appetizer and steak were flavorful - sides were a bit disappointing -
First time at this restaurant and really enjoyed the food and ambience.
Great Father's Day brunch with my family. Service was terrific and food was very fresh.
Wonderful Father’s Day celebration. Great food.
Blake was a delight as our server. We will definitely return.
We loved the purple and green tables and chairs!
Our waitress was awesome, very nice, attentive and helped us moving everything inside because of the heavy rain that started at dessert time.
We were driving back home and decided to stop for a quiet dinner and I always look for charming restaurants, local bussiness, special places, hate chain restaurants!
A very comfortable, quiet restaurant with great food. We had plenty of time to eat, and weren't rushed at all. Service was very good. We'll definitely return with friends!
Great atmosphere. On a nice day they open the walls so you can see out to the hills. Great food.
This was our first time at the restaurant. We were celebrating for pre-Father’s Day for my uncle. It was a wonderfully relaxing experience.
There is great view and atmosphere, with colorful and whimsical decor. Service was excellent. Our server was Stephanie. She was friendly and very attentive. Everyone we came in contact with were very nice. One of chef’s, David Love took time to explain dishes to my 91 year grandmother.
The food was superb. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended!
This was our first time at the restaurant. It was a wonderfully relaxing experience. Stephanie our server was very attentive and provided excellent service. The food was superb. Will definitely come again.
The scallops and the filet were both very good. Carpaccio was also good. Service was great too. Had the cheesecake and strawberry shortcake for dessert and both were disappointing.
Wonderful view and atmosphere, food was great, and service was awesome. Highly recommended!
Loved all food that we were served! Will come back for another special occasion.
It was very nice and the food was delicious! I made an update to my reservation, requesting a table by a window, as we'd be there during sunset. That message didn't get to them apparently, but it was fine. I'm sure they would've moved us, had we asked. Our server was attentive and very nice.
We had an okay meal and dining experience at Habitat. There were just a few tables filled so I was surprised by the lack of speedy service with empty glasses, missing salad dressings and items made incorrectly. While those issues were remedied, it took prompting from us on a few instances. Very shocked by the small amount of food on the charcuterie platter that displayed 2 pieces of cheese, a few pieces of meat and two small pieces of bread for $25. Not sure if we’ll try it again since it wasn’t just one issue.
Went for our 30th Anniversary Getaway.. enjoyed the Habitat while staying at the Grand Bohemium. Very good food, service and will definitely be going back. It's like a secret hidden gem outside Birmingham.
Even though they changed up the menu and got rid of one of our favorite sides (the brussel sprouts), we weren't disappointed with new options. This is one of our favorite places to eat for special occasions and our waitress, Cora, was outstanding.
Although I marked anniversary on the reservation form, no acknowledgement of the special occasion was made.
Our service was outstanding and a great ambassador for the restaurant. Food was outstanding as well.
We will certainly be back!
The front of house staff were great. The server was nice but unable to describe any of the food.. along the lines of it is green sauce.
Delicious meal. Outstanding service
Great overall experience! One of the best buffets I have ever had. Highly recommended. I will definitely eat here again.
Very expensive and not a lot of food for the price. I had an overpriced vegetarian entree with rice that didn't even fill half the plate. Stopped for fries and a burger on the way home
Shrimp and grits were delicious. Service was excellent. We ate outside on a comfortable
This is the only bad review I have ever given a restaurant. The steaks we had at our meal on Friday were the worst I have ever had. Hard to give this review as we loved everything else about the Grand Bohamanian
Unfortunately, the food was poorly executed. The pasta sauce tasted like it came out of can. In regards to the shrimp and grits, the shrimp was ok but the grits were runny. There was no salad on the menu, and for some reason burgers were only available on the bar menu. We sat in dining room which was well decorated and comfortable. In addition, very limited wine selection. We enjoy staying at this hotel but will not be dining at the restaurant again. There are too many great options in Birmingham.
We love a great meal and do not paying more for something expectional. However, for $150 for a dinner for two, Habitat and Feed misses the mark on every level. The ‘crafted’ cocktails were reminesent of a dry opening at a taco bar. The appetizer and entrees were of less flavor and originality than a meal at Ruby Tuesday. The desserts were slightly better than the drinks and dinner. Our server wasn’t rude but did not express a true interest in our being there or our overall dining experience with her. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.
I took my wife to Habitat to celebrate her birthday. We had a reservation for 6:30 in the main dining area but elected to eat in the bar area upon arrival (it seemed more inviting and less formal). We enjoyed some delicious beverages while watching some of the SEC tournament on the bar TV.
We skipped the appetizers and went straight to dinner...I had the 16oz ribeye and my wife had the Cobia. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and had a great flavor. The Cobia was grilled with a great assortment of local vegetables and was very tasty.
We also had the dessert special of strawberry shortcake which was delicious and just enough to share. After dinner we had one more beverage on the rooftop by the firepit which was a good way to end the evening. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and plan to visit again.
We had a great time
Ladies lunch. Light and elegant fare. My trout was cooked perfectly. It was too cool to sit outside but looks like a great spot. Between the open kitchen and the music choice it was a bit noisy for the charming ambiance. But service was good and staff pleasant. . We all agreed we would return. Negative was the $11 wine pour was way too light.
