This is a favorite spot for my wife and I. It's is rare that you find a place in which ambiance, great service, and incredible food all come together. This is place deserves no less than 5 stars.
Fined during Sunday Brunch! Wonderful atmosphere, food arrangement set up beautifully, with delicious variety for every palette!
This is my favorite restaurant and I have been wanting to try their brunch for quite some time. It did not disappoint! A little pricey but well worth it. You can try a little bit of everything on the menu! I would highly recommend it!
Amazing food and Environment Highly Recommend
The food was good but the bartender used bottled lime and lemon juice.
This was our second experience eating here and it was so disappointing compared to our first experience which was excellent and the reason we came back. Upon checking in for our reservation we were rudely told we would have a little over two hours before the table would be turned to another reservation which was rather odd as it was a random table in the middle of the outside patio. We were seated, ordered drinks and an appetizer which seemed to take an inordinate amount of time. The appetizer came out almost thirty minutes after our order. The waiter was
apologetic and said it should not have taken that long and took that Item off the bill which we appreciated. While we totally understand the business aspect of turning as many tables in a night’s dinner service as is possible, that concept should be articulated within the restaurant staff and not verbalized to your patrons. We were made to feel rushed but waited so long for our meal.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. The main reason for the four-star rating as opposed to a five-star rating is that all the tables were so close together that one could hardly walk around the patio to get to the buffet tables. The waitress could hardly get through to us to bring drinks. I could hardly get up from my chair to walk to any of the food tables, and once I got my plate filled, I had to wait for the "traffic to die down" to get back to my table. I shudder to think what would happen if there had been a fire. Have been there twice and enjoyed it very much both times. But probably won't go back on a holiday because of this. Didn't even realize there was a fresh fruit bar until we were leaving as it was hidden back in the corner and there was a steady stream of people back there. Frustrating at $65 p.p.
Heated outside patio with twinkle lights very charming for a date with friends or the significant other. Food is quite delicious - but is a bit pricy given quantity vs. cost. I would not classify this as "authentic" cuban, but nevertheless flavorful and delicious! The vibe and ambience are great and would definitely recommend outside seating vs. inside - it can be a bit too dark on the inside. Parking is a bit difficult due to be limited by the Lab's parking structure (possibly Habana validates - I would call to confirm). However, for a return trip I would vote brunch (amazing amazing amazing) over dinner.
Habana has relatively authentic Cuban cuisine. The quality is excellent, including the mojito and the key lime pie. When the weather permits, the outside "patio" is a good choice. Do note that none of the facilities in the "mall" in which Habana is located has customer restrooms -- there is one facility across the parking lot. Because much of the parking lot is "reserved" or "valet", one may have to hunt for parking.
Delish! Will definitely come back!
We started at the bar and enjoyed some wonderful drinks. The bartender was very friendly. Than we sat at an indoor table. The food and service was outstanding.
We have been coming here for our anniversary for the past twenty years. Food is still great, we love the atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming and attentive.
Habana has a wonderful, unique menu; every dish that the six of us tried was excellent. The waiter was courteous, knowledgeable and upbeat. The only negative was that it was extremely loud and difficult to have a conversation. I think if we had sat outside it might have been a little better. I would still highly recommend it, and would go back again.
Excellent restaurant for a fun and lively crowd. Food and service are exceptional 👌🏼 Highly recommend the salmon although everything on the menu looked amazing.
Always love coming here. The blackberry mojito is amazing.
Good food , great drinks, nice place to dine outside with out much work.
Everything about this experience was excellent. A couple recent visits to Habana before this one were disappointing, so we were pleased to see it return to its prior form.
This was the first time we had been to Habana, and the food was as delicious as we had been told. The kitchen was very accommodating with my husband’s dairy sensitivity, and their recommendations regarding specific selections were spot on.
The bar drinks were generous and delicious!
The only negative was that We are outside on the patio, and it was rather noisy which made it difficult to hear at our table.
always amazing ! the food is always great and the special as delicious. The Paloma was a great drink choice
Ambiance and food and $5 mojitos were amazing! Our waitress however, hardly ever came over and was quite unfriendly.
One meeting was a Business meeting and other was dinner with a friend. Neither Experience was as good as it used to be there years ago. Brought out wrong meal last time. Brought wine out for one when we ordered two glasses. Just not paying attention. Staff do not look neat and clean. Service slow. Food tastes not as good as it used to be. Just used to be better all around in the past. Last two visits have not been impressive. After second dinner, it wasn’t a fluke. Just Taking Habana off my list of go to restaurants. Too many other choices in OC to get marginal food and service. Not sure what happened to the place. Too bad.
We started with Mojito’s that were terrible, worst ones ever. You would think a place named Habanas could serve a decent drink, WRONG!! Awful. Cheap rum and Tonic water. Food had Jalapeños and jalapeño sauce on everything. Not Cuban at all. Anyone that has any idea of Cuban foods know this is wrong. I was asked at the time of maki g the reservation if this was a special occasion and I let them know it was our 19 Anniversary and I wanted to be special. The lady said they would make it special. They did, they ruined our Anniversary with lousy drinks, food we couldn’t eat and bad seating. Thanks Habana for ruining our 19th Anniversary.
Was a bit difficult on my first try to get a reservation at this place, but went the following weekend. Food was under-whelming, they seemed to be understaffed (although our server was good), bathrooms are located outside in a different building, absolutely nothing special about this place except it does have a nice patio area.
As usual excellent food and ambiance, this time service was not as attentive as normally is. First we asked for straws and our server forgot, then We ordered two identical plates and one came with black beans and one without , when we brought it to the server attention , she did apologize as in script and our water was never refilled. All other times has been a great experience and we will be back.
I love Habana's. I have going to your restaurant for at least 15 years. I ordered the Pork Croquetta's, Ropa Vieja and Key Lime Pie. The Pork Croquetta's were a little overcooked. The Ropa Vieja was delicious, but the plantains were not ripe enough and the Key Lime Pie was very tasty. The meal was brought out at the same time as the appetizer which was a little off-putting. It felt like we had to hurry. The waiter was very friendly.
Great food and ambiance as usual!
We had a very wonderful lunch! The food was incredible and our waiter was extremely attentive.
Excellent choice for lunch on the patio on a nice day.
Best meal out we’ve had in a long time. Great variety on the menu, excellent service and ambiance was super fun and romantic. Will be back for sure!
Our food and drinks were delicious. Loved the ambiance of the patio. Our server was terrific. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I ran a little late, called to let the hostess know and they were super accommodating. Food and service were excellent! Had a wonderful time!
My meal was salty and undercooked. This is not good Cuban food. Over priced too. It was also very loud! Impossible to hold a conversation.
The food was spectacular! The meal started off with a basket of delicious rolls and a sip of complementary sangria. We ordered two different cocktails (the Hells Blossom and the Caipirinha both of which were delicious! We ordered two entrees (Citrus Marinated Pork belly and the Spice Crusted Ahi) and a sampling of their sides for three of us to share (Tostones, Papas Rellenas, Brussel Sprouts). All of it was so amazingly good and the portions were huge! We still ended up taking food home! Their cocktails are a little pricey and the parking was really difficult but aside from that the ambience was fabulous and the experience was great. To top it off, we went to celebrate a birthday and they brought out a mini key lime pie and a mini flan with candles in them for dessert. Such a nice treat. The only complaint was that their entrees were a little on the pricey side. Not that they weren't good, but $30 for a slightly well done seared piece of ahi over some mash was a little extra.
Great food! Great drinks, and good service. The noise level is very loud so that took away from the experience. Would definitely go back!
Good food and ambiance. But the server obviously had too many tables and the service was very slow. He forgot about it being a Birthday celebration tho he had been told and there were gifts on the table
Love the funky location but parking is ridiculous. Plan to valet park or hire a ride service. We went for lunch. Menu is somewhat limited but has the most popular Cuban food items like ropa vieja (shredded beef), lechon (pork) and roasted chicken with lemon garlic sauce. The lemon garlic sauce was a little bland for my taste but it was definitely good; probably ideal for people who don't like intense garlic or lemon flavors like me. Service was great. Sangria, capiranha (I know I botched the spelling!) and champagne by the glass were excellent accompaniments.
Love this place! From the complementary sangria to the amazing atmosphere, Habana is a step into Cuba itself! I can’t get enough of the delicious food and the awesome people!
I love Habana. I used to go more frequently but hadn’t been in a while, so I took my boyfriend who had never been. Needless to say he was in love with it, and I’m glad it’s back in my date rotation! The food is incredible, and good sized portions. Cocktails are also amazing. The best part is the amazing atmosphere outside- perfect setup with super nice mood lighting. It’s a bit loud, but personally I really like that! Makes it feel more vibrant and fun. Overall one of my favorite places to get some “nicer” food and drinks. :)
It was fantastic my server was amazing.
It was really good but parking is horrible but around the corner they have three dollar parking
