Great food, great service!
First the food was good however the rest of the experience kind of brought the whole experience down. The service and the employees just did not care and seemed to just be filling a job to get paid.
We had great BBQ ribs. The service was very fast and friendly.
The food is amazing - anything I've eaten here has never left a bad taste in my mouth. I personally love the Smoked Sirloin because it isn't typical and the flavor and texture are absurd; the smokey flavor is prominent, and the level of tenderness is not expected in a sirloin. On the side is a typical loaded baked potato, but a not-so-typical fire-roasted ear of corn, that, again, is full of unexpected juiciness. The ribs are great as well, and prepared uniquely as well.
Service and atmosphere are always great - not much needs to be said. If you're looking for a Friday or Saturday night, check to see who's playing at Billy Bob's that night to gauge how busy it will be. Better yet, be on the safe side and book a reservation online through OpenTable.
Great atmosphere. Great steaks. Great western looking bar. Good service.
Family get together for brunch before watching cattle drive at 11:30
I ordered ribs, full rack. While looking fantastic the ribs were not fresh off the put. In fact the rack was hard and had been sitting for sometime before being served. I could not finish the rack. However service was great!
We love the restaurant and visit often for special occasions. This was for Mother's Day. I made a reservation for our party of 8 and we were seated promptly. Unfortunately we were seated in the back dining area with another very large party (at least double ours) with numerous small children who were screaming at the top of their lungs and the parents chose to do nothing about it other than talk and scream louder themselves so they could hear each other over their screaming kids. It was so loud we could not speak to the person across the table from us. The waiter was also not great, seemed to be really struggling to keep up and didn't stay on top of service while we were there. It's unfortunate that I spent several hundred dollars on an experience that was similar to the play land at McDonalds. This is the second time I've had such an experience at this restaurant. If you're going to charge premium prices you need to set the standard and have premium ambiance and premium service.
Have gone to H-3 lots of times, and will be back more.
However on the occasion, the service was too fast. No sooner than the appetizer plates got there, then the salads showed up, followed way to quickly with the main course. The table was jam packed with food. By the time you finished the appetizer, the main course was getting cold with the salads almost untouched.
Waitress was very nice and made it almost bearable.
But the biggest issue of this visit, the table next to us had a dog. Not a service dog, just a dog. I don't enjoy having a dog sitting watching me eat a steak, no matter how good the steak. Animals don't belong in business places, and certainly not restaurants. I hope this issue is addressed before my next visit.
Took my mother-in-law and our family there for Mother’s Day. She loves the fact we were in the historic stockyard area of Fort Worth. The server was fantastic. The food was very good. One of the top two steaks I have ever had in my life. Definitely a keeper.
Fun place to visit with the family if you want the “Texas Experience “, at least the view from someone from California! Good food, reasonably priced. Great drinks! Fun bar with saddles as bar stools!
Great steak, wonderful sides, and bread that was absolutely delicious! Definitely will go back.
Food had great flavor. My filet was slightly overcooked but tasted great. The new burnt ends on the appetizer menu are amazing. I could make a meal of those. Service was awesome. We will be back.

Have been about 4 times to H3. Food was ok-service was ok.
Whenever I travel to Texas I like to go to the H3 for a good steak dinner and we enjoy the variety of their margaritas. We usually enjoy our dinner; however, on this visit my cousin and I both had to send our steaks back. The Thousand Island dressing was overwhelmingly sweet. All I tasted was sweet pickle relish. Our waitress was very friendly and did a good job of taking care of us. The service is always great. Was disappointed on this trip.
Typically the service at H3 is very good. This visit, the service was extremely slow and I felt some of the servers were rude (not the waitress, but others).
We loved the atmosphere and the food was great! We took our young daughters and they loved the saddle bar stools...of course they would being cowgirls themselves! You won’t be disappointed!
Good service but the steak was not as usual. Quite fatty and not tender. Pretty disappointed as we like to visit the stockyards and were looking forward to a good dinner

We went for lunch. Food was a bit over priced but we expected that for a tourist area. Ribs are just ok, burgers were good.
Authentic Ft Worth Staockyards experience with sizzling cast iron serving plates and husk-on wood fired corn on the cob. Good (not great) steak quality for the price. Love the schooner bowl beers.
I was overall disappointed as I had heard so many great words. The food (filet) was a bit over cooked. Didn’t send back as I was hungry & didn’t want my companion to eat alone. Maybe a fun place for visitors but I’m local and can go anywhere
Good food, good atmosphere. I've eaten here numerous times over the years and it's consistently good.
As always one of my favorite dining spots. Everything was up to par but the temperature of the food was a little cool. All else just as I would expect, and an enjoyable meal.
A family friend from Sydney Australia had a lay over, so we took him out for dinner. He's never had Smoked Sirloin before and he loved it. He couldn't get over how the corn came ON the cob, ready to eat.
We had a great time! Food was delicious!
When I make a reservation a month in advance I don’t expect to eat in the bar!!! Noisy & packed. Won’t be back

I was following all strong on line reviews for the H3, but was very disappointed. It's a large restaurant down in the Stock Yard area, and as such, was very touristy. I didn't 'get' that when I booked (hadn't been to that part of Ft Worth before). The hostesses were very nice. Valet super grumpy. Waiter was nice, but not overly present. The main complaint: the food was very much below grade for a nice restaurant and very below standard fare in Ft Worth (which has a great food scene). The prices are high, especially for the steaks, and yet the presentation is a steak with a small baked potato and side salad. My son's steak seemed over cooked to me, but he didn't want to send it back in front of friends. I ordered the grilled shrimp, which were listed as "jumbo/huge" and they were far from it. I would say that they were medium shrimp at best. They were presented on a bed of rice, which was not even warm. Which is inexcusable. Again, I didn't want to send back my dish in front of my son's friends. We won't be back, nor would I recommend this restaurant to others.

Got two orders of pork spare ribs mine had a lot of fat but tasted good. The other order my son said was good
In the heart of Fort Worth's Stockyards, the decor and ambiance suit that perfectly. We sat next to one of the "locals" in full costume, he maintained character while he enjoyed his breakfast. Try to get a window seat if people watching is on your agenda.
The Breakfast selection has something for everyone. Our food arrived very promptly, with nice presentation. Very generous portions. Coffee is good either black or with cream.
Staff is spot on, and worked well as a team.
Whenever we’re in the Stockyards, H3 is our go-to place for dinner! We’ve tried other places but we keep coming back to H3.
Cool place but our food and service was very average.
Maybe our expectations were too high, but H3 just wasn’t up to par. Pretty below average actually. The service was super friendly but very slow. We were there for lunch at 1:30 on a Sat afternoon. There were four of us. My daughter ordered the pulled pork sandwich & she didn’t want the slaw on it. Well it came with slaw on it so it had to be remade, and by the time she got it back, the rest of us were done eating and they managed to forget the sauce it was supposed to come with. When I asked her how it was, her response was “it’s just some meat on bread”. It was served with cold, soggy fries the first go round. At least they brought her some hot soggy fries the second time. My husband asked about sharing the brisket plate and when he asked how much brisket was on the order, we were told there were four large, long pieces. We got our order and there were only three, not very large slices. We had the fire-roasted corn which was unimpressive and the spinach I got was excellent but it was a very small portion. We just expect a little more when we pay $18 for a lunch entree. My 9 year old daughter had chicken strips and I assume they were ok because she ate most of them. We could have just packed sandwiches and been a lot happier! When we were finished, we waited and waited and waited for the check...The girls and I left him there waiting and literally went to the car and got snacks while my husband had to wait another 10 mins or so.
Was excited to try this restaurant, since we were staying in the Stockyards Hotel. The queso and salsa we flavorful and very spicy. The ribeye steak was good, but have had better for the price. My wife's filet was cooked perfectly, and she had no complaints. Overall, it was an average steak at high prices.
Celebrated my Mom’s Birthday. Our server was amazing and provided a fantastic experience.
We really enjoyed our dinner. We had friends out from California and we wanted them to taste great food!
