Staff was very kind and service was excellent. The beet salad was fine, but a little bland. The tuna steak entree tasted fishy, but was accompanied by several tasty asparagus spears and roasted tomatoes. We won’t be returning, especially for the $.
We were greeted by perhaps the most rude “hostess” I have ever encountered. My husband and I arrived before our friends. Clearly there were two of us, she asked if our whole party was there, I said no. We were 15 minutes early. She proceeded to tell me that 20 minutes after the reservation my table would be given away.
No hello, how are you? We waited at the bar, I tried to find another place to eat but things were booked, so we stayed. She approached again, asking if we were all present, AGAIN, I was standing with just my husband.
The rest of our party arrived. We sat, we ate. We took our sweet time at that table.
Turns out that “hostess “ is very well connected to this restaurant. We will never return to this establishment.
Love this place!!! Always have a great experience.
Great neighborhood restaurant and bar. Surprisingly excellent food!
Returned to this local gem solo after my wife and I first dined there Super Bowl weekend. We loved it!
This time all the Eagles decorations were replaced by Valentine’ Day regalia. Food was great, service excellent, EXCEPT I had ordered a pint of beer. When it was 1/2 full, I was asked if I wanted another! “No, thanks.” When it was down to 1/3, my server asked me again. NO THANKS. Then when I had 2 fingers left, he asked a third time. I said I would drink my water. Just too pushy and annoying, but not enough to keep me from returning.
Returned to Gypsy Saloon with my husband for a Valentine's Day dinner. We shared the Fried Calamari and the Caesar Salad. Delish starters! He had the NY Strip and I had Scallops. Both very tasty. The hostess and server were very friendly and we just enjoyed being in the hustle bustle of this warm, charming spot in West Conshy. My only complaint would be that since I was seated facing the kitchen door (which had a big window), the bright kitchen lights were in my eyes. No biggie, but it probably could be fixed with some nice decorative tint over the window to dim it down a bit... just saying. Overall, we heart Gypsy and the staff and will def be back!
I like the quirky ambiance of the restaurant. The service was excellent and I loved the tuna tartare appetizer and the flatbread appetizer. Four friends met and enjoyed the meal and talked for a long time. We were not rushed out and will certainly come back.
My absolute favorite restaurant. The food never disappoints and the owner is lovely - stops by every table to chat. Makes you feel like you’re at home.
What a warm and welcoming vibe! Great service! Loved the wine! Food was delish!
I took my two young children solo during lunch to watch the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl parade. We had a wonderful experience! They had a great special menu and were very kid friendly. It seems like a great place for lunch. I look forward to trying them out for dinner someday!
Brunch was amazing, I had the breakfast wrap and a ScrewDriver and I left feeling very full and satisfied. The other diners with me were just as happy and we will all definitely be returning.
The ambiance is always terrific with a lively bar and great seating. The cocktails were excellent as well. The food however was not terrific. We had a steak special that was a thin and somewhat tough cut and tuna tacos that were average at best. The best thing we ate that evening was the lobster mac N cheese.
We have been coming for years but it seems the food has gone down.
First time there and will definitely go back. Such a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Felt at home and the food was outstanding.
Very nice environment. Service little slow, but not in hurry so had no issues with that. Very enjoyable date night meal
Great staff. They were busy but still very attentive. Too bad the food was bad.
Food is always lovely; atmosphere is cozy and warm; love the staff. Highly recommend.
wonderful, attentive service, but food did not come out hot and fresh and a request for light dressing tossed with salad did not happen...great atmosphere
Great meal and atmosphere plus the service was outstanding!
Great food..service...great find. Love our Gypsy
Really good food. Great staff!
Service was great, food was delicious, and we loved the ambiance. Had a blast and will definitely be back!
Excellent food at a reasonable price and friendly atmosphere.
The owner “hovered” way too much. Made it uncomfortable. Will not be back any time soon.
Greeted as soon as we entered and ushered to our table. Server took our drink and food orders; wall arrived promptly. Foo d was well presented
What a fun, cozy casual place. Our hostess was the owner--so friendly, warm and accommodating. My burger was delicious, as was my lemon drop martini. It's a great place to have dinner, watch sports on TV, sit at the bar, and enjoy great live music.
Usually this place is great on everything but Saturday was a little off. Our food was missing key ingredients that were advertised on the menu, and we were left sitting there for long periods of time without being checked on which made for a 2+ hour visit. The server and owner/manager that served us were very nice and personable, just could have been more attentive. The place was crowded with a large party so they probably could have done with one more server. Still love the place and will come back.
Consistent good food, good service.
We always enjoy our meals at Gypsy Saloon. i had the burger, well done with blue cheese. it was so delicious !! the Sweet potatoes are awesome !!! Our waitress, Sherry, is always so attentive to us and nothing is too much trouble. WE'll be definitely going back again soon !!
Everything was great, but would love to see more vegetarian options so I didn't have to ask for something and then request to remove a lot of the ingredients. And at that point, you're still paying the same price if you kept the meat and eggs on. The ambience is cozy, and the menu is very unique (in a good way), just meat heavy. Highly recommend!
Gypsy is now 13 years old. Under the careful guidance of its majority owner, Kim, Gypsy continues to be now only a good and fun place to eat and meet, but continues to indicate with its new menu and its Italian train new chef. Kudos to The Gypsy saloon.
Delicious! I went for brunch and had the cheesesteak quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious. It came with home fries that were cooked to perfection and the whole meal was just so good.
When walking in the smell of bleach hit us in the face, but the ambience was nice so we stayed for dinner and drinks. Our server was very nice and welcoming and she had only been working there 3 days. Food was not good. Flatbread was almost burnt on the bottom but we ate it anyway no complaints because we were hungry and ehh, no big deal. Dinner came, shrimp Caesar salad for $18.00 ( kind of steep) lettuce was yellow and looked like it was ready to go bad, dressing was not good at all and the cheese tasted stale. My husbands brie and turkey sandwich had no Brie. We sent back both, and a different Server ( not ours) came the table and repeatedly told me to come into the light to look at the salad to see that it was fresh and that she ate one earlier( which I'm sure she wasn't paying close to $20 for) and that it was good and to come look at it again. She FORCED us to have the sandwich remade also. She was RUDE. I felt SO uncomfortable I couldn't wait to get out of there. This woman was very FAKE. Who confronts a table and tries to force them to keep a brown salad?? Totally rude. For that reason alone I will never go back. If the food sucked but I liked the atmosphere I probably would, but not with a RUDE person like that there. And I'm POSITIVE she is one of the main severs. Lovely.
Great service and food. There was an accident in the area and all electric was knocked out on the block for about an hour. We took our chances & stayed. It turned out just wonderful. We ate outside and the restaurant improvised with the food and service. EXCELLENT all around. Kudos for handling a stressful situation seamlessly.
Absolutely love this little gem in West Conshy. Finally gave it a try for lunch after living down the street for over a year. I loved it so much I went back a second time in the same week with friends for dinner. The servers are all super friendly and attentive and the food is awesome. I highly recommend the lobster mac&cheese!
Food was great, service a little slow. Funky casual interior. Restaurant seems to have a monopoly in West Conshohocken if you want to walk from the office towers to get lunch or dinner.
The food was amazing and I love their brunch menu and cheap champagne cocktails for a Sunday funday.
Had Sunday Brunch outside with a couple of friends. The food was delicious and the mimosas were lovely! Super friendly and accommodating staff!
Very unorganized. I'm not going back. I learned that next time elsewhere I will discuss advertised offers with the manager before I order.
The lobster mac and cheese is unbelievable. We also watched an adorable dog get his own plate outside....which we LOVED seeing.
Came for brunch and was not disappointed! Our table had 2 omelets and 2 eggs benedicts. Everyone was very pleased with their dish. Even though brunch is no longer bottomless, the $4 house mimosas and bloody marys' are still a great deal and delicious :)
