Lydia did a phenomenal job of taking care of our group. We were celebrating a birthday and she made it very special. Although she was obviously busy, we had no issues with timeliness or a lack of service.
The food and service were great! The cushions on the bench were wet so my pants were wet after dinner. Not good. We will be back. Just not within a couple days of rain. Ha.
Nice bday night at Gypsy Kitchen.
I took my husband here for his birthday and we were treated like royalty! The manager came out and introduced himself, they gave us complimentary champagne and dessert. The food was exceptional. It blew past our expectations!
Always a great time at Gypsy.
The brunch was amazing. Every Tapa that we ordered was delicious.
Great for friends to hang out - good food and drinks
Great atmosphere for a fun dinner with friends. Lots of options to choose from for all different appetites. Food comings out quickly and service was great.
Service was great. She kept coming back to check on us. We went for a recommended cocktail off the menu which neither of us cared for but the food was great and the atmosphere was very lively and professional. We booked the table just two hours before and it was ready as soon as we arrived. Will definitely go back.
Food was mediocre at best. Extremely overpriced when u e had similar tapas at other places. The ambiance was great, and the drink I ordered was delicious. This might be a better place for drinks then trying to enjoy a fun and delicious dinner.
Had a great time celebrating a friends birthday at gypsy kitchen, service was phenomenal, food was excellent, cocktails superb. Have been a return customer for quite awhile and plan to keep on returning.
Excellent outside table with a great view and service and food.
We had great service, great food and the restaurant is beautiful. Could not ask for more.
We made a reservation for 11am brunch and only realized when we got there that Gypsy Kitchen opens at 11 on Sundays! The place was quiet since we got there early, and the service and food delivery time was very good. The food itself was okay, some of the items we wanted had run out the night before, which was unfortunate. What we did have, a queso, a shrimp cocktail, and the chicken migas, had some unique flavors, but the portions were too small to be considered a satisfying meal given the price. All-around pretty good, but I’d only really save Gypsy Kitchen for special occasions.
Wonderful restaurant for a get together with a girlfriend. Food was wonderful. View was great. Cocktails were great.
I love Gypsy Kitchen! I did not like the fact that you’re able to make a reservation but when you arrive, there’s no seating and you still have to wait for a table. Why give us an option to make a reservation if we won’t have a table ready for the time our reservation was for?
We arrived for our reservation for two and the hostess asked us if we wanted a table inside or outside. We asked for a table inside but we were then told the only current option was a community table on the un-covered porch. We declined and were told that we would be added to the wait-list. I asked why we needed to be added to the wait-list when we had a reservation and the hostess told us "she can't help how long people stay for happy hour". We elected to wait at the bar. After we had our first drink, the hostess came and told us she had a table on the covered porch that we could be seated at. We accepted the covered porch even though it was not our first option. We closed our tab at the bar within a minute or two and made our way to the hostess stand. A different host informed us that the table had mistakenly been sat by another couple. After scrambling for a few minutes, they eventually came up with a table for us. Throughout the entire ordeal, no one ever apologized for the wait or the mistakes. Instead, we were made to feel like our presence was the inconvenience. Once we were sat, our server was very kind and the food was good. If I ever go back, I will just go for drinks at the bar, not a sit-down meal.
Great atmosphere and awesome food
I made the reservation for my best friend’s birthday and the food was honestly terrible. I have NEVER sent back food and I had to send back two dishes and a drink. The amount of salt used on the paella was inedible. The chicken smelled and tasted like new rubber. The smell made us gag. I will not be returning.
My first time going to this place and I thought the food was alright. I enjoyed the garlic shrimp and seafood paella. The other tapas I ordered I had to send back because it was not what I thought I would be. The best part of my dining was the customer service and how they made sure I was satisfied. They Made it up with cocktails, champagne and dessert. They deserve 5 stars.
Good service, great food, great drinks.
The food here is amazing!!! Plus the out door patio gives you the cosmopolitan feel that I crave. Will definitely be back.
So much fun!
Never had a bad meal here, of course having a great service is always a plus which was not the case this time, however when in Atlanta this is a must stop.
Great ambiance!! Interesting food. Definitely will dine again!
Food is ok. Service is ok. Went for brunch and was underwhelmed. I may go back for a night out on the patio as the drinks and ambiance are cool but if you’re looking for yummy tapas try Barcelona or somewhere else...
Way too hot, uncomfortable to enjoy.
Gypsy Kitchen is a great place to have Spanish Tapas: Sobrasada, Cheese, Spanish Ham were really good, as well as the bikini sandwich. Patatas Bravas were a little bit overcooked. I would come back but not an a Saturday night, too crowded.
Ambiance, service, food-all were great. The hostess area at the front has to be improved. The employees do not manage the crowd of people effectively. Definitely make a visit here but be prepared for the wait and tight squeeze when you arrive. Also the guest fault because manners are not exercised. People will cut in front of you. Oh BTW, they only take reservations is what I’ve been told.
Gorgeous restaurant but $13 for a house tequila shot and not much description on the food. Not worth the price and hostess was rude.
I’d say this place is worth going to for the atmosphere and service. The food is pretty mediocre and I wasn’t super excited about any of the small plates I ordered. I was full and it was a decent meal but you’re definitely paying for the location and atmosphere! So not a great value for the food.
The service was not very polished; a drink tray was placed on the table and drinks distributed from there. We were told the drink menu was 'all new' and yet one of the items was "sold out". We ordered mostly tapas for the table (there were 6 of us) but one entree and the entree was delivered after everyone else was mostly finished. The cheese and meat tray was very good but only given a very cursory explanation so we didn't really know what items were on it (i.e anything about the cheese origins --we were told "the chef will pick them" -there was one that was amazing but we had no idea what it actually was). When I visited the restroom, two of the stalls were out of toilet paper and there were no paper towels left. The service staff kept leaving the door to the outside seating open, even though it was over 90 degrees outside and we were sitting right by the door. Overall, the food was good, but won't be running back anytime soon.
I had heard good things about Gypsy Kitchen and I must say I was disappointed. The food is nothing special. In fact the tapas were mostly unimpressive versions of tapas prepared better at other Spanish restaurants. The ambiance, however, was very nice. I loved the space. Our server was fine. Again, nothing to write home about. I wouldn't go back unless I had to.
My girl friend and I went to Gypsy Kitchen for our two year anniversary. I do not normally leave reviews but Maria/Mariah (our waitress) and the executive chef went above and beyond to make sure my girl friend and I had an amazing night, so I thought they deserved a review. They comped my dessert and the chef came out and talked with us about his ideas behind each dish, it was truly special and we will be back soon!
The food is always good but we were celebrating a birthday so our waitress brought glasses of champagne and a fun sparkler over to cap our night off. It was a great way to end our celebrations and our waitress was super nice!
Gypsy Kitchen serves up fantastic tapas with a large variety available. There is nothing intimate about the restaurant. This place is very lively! Our server was brand new and needed some assistance throughout the meal, but the management was very supportive of her and we never felt like we weren't getting the appropriate amount of attention. I would recommend this place as a fun, boisterous, and delicious meeting-place.
Went to gypsy for the first time in 6 months and I have to say the quality of food completely declined. They were out of mussels, the tuna was not edible, the peppers were bland and the service was not good.
I will never eat there again. The atmosphere and bar are the only reasons to go.
Katrina provided outstanding service and Andrew the sommelier was superb.Highly recommend .Food and atmosphere was great
An OK place when other neighborhood restaurants are closed.
Fun younger bar scene.
Nijah was fantastic. We’re celebrated a bachelorette dinner there and she went above and beyond
