We were celebrating my dad completing the 2nd phase of his cancer treatment
Owner was weird. Came to my table and made things awkward. Just let us enjoy our meal.
Is too hot, it gets uncomfortable to the point that we couldn't eat and have to leave.
Great but atmosphere pretty hot
Cocktails are slow to be served. The waiter was very friendly but the actual service was not the best. Cost for premium liquor was high. Noise level was very high.
Great atmosphere but mediocre food. Perfect spot for a drink.
The Mussels have no taste. Better off getting mussels in the frozen section at Kroger. Pay 3.99 and they taste way better by far. All the food was very bland!!!! The garlic shrimp was very bland. Chef needs to add flavor to the menu
When I say WOOOOOOOW that means a lot I am a hard person to please, but when I tell you I am completely blown away by the level of service my party and myself have received from GM Ali and server Jason. I am really taken aback with this establishment. At the beginning the service lagged from initial greet and I was somewhat skeptical of trusting our server with our dinning experience. Y perception completely changed when the GM Ali filleted our fish table side and gave us a bottle of sparkling rosè on him and in addition to after dinner digestives... holy wow I will return a million times. Thank you very much for the hospitality. I am blown away from the level of service we received and would recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for delicious food and great service.
Sat on the rooftop deck. One of my favorite... food still a bit more inconsistent than ideal, but good enough that I will continue to come back
Wonderful place for a celebration. My husband loved it and so did I. The braised lamb is worth it alone. Highly recommend.
Went there for brunch! All the food was excellent and the sangria was great. Only problem was the server took over 20 minutes to bring us bread for the cheese plate that was already on the table.
Great Ambience and awesome bar scene. Went here last Saturday 6/29 for a girls night out and although the waitress and service was good once we sat down, the hostess's were incredibly rude. Our reservation was at 8pm and we arrived promptly for the reservation. However, the hostess said there was just a few min wait, what was suppose to be a "few minutes" turned out to be over 15 min. When we went to check in and ask what was holding up the table, they were incredibly rude with terrible attitudes and offered for us to speak with the manager. The manager then did make sure we were seated promptly. Although I've had good experiences there, this was by far the worst. Please make sure your hostess treat your customers with respect as they are the face of the restaurant.
Very small portions, tapas are JUST a taste fit for 2 people. For a party of 4, we ordered 5 tapas, 1 small charcuterie board, 1 large paella, and lots of drinks ......my wife had a bowl of cereal before bed.
The staff and our server were great. The food left some to be desired, but maybe we should have chosen different dishes. We had the mussels and the chicken croquettes. We'll give it another try at some point.
The entire patio area was unavailable because it was reserved for a private event. In making the reservation, I had specifically requested patio seating. It would have been nice to have received notice from the restaurant that the patio seating wouldn't be available beforehand. Some restaurants explicitly note this at the time of making the reservation...
I was so excited to take my husband back here as I had come a few weeks before for a friend’s birthday. The service was okay the first time, but apparent that they didn’t really love serving a party of 8 women.
This time I brought my husband back because I loved the food and atmosphere before. I wish I could review more about it, but after being seated by the hostess, we waited 15 minutes and no server came to our table. We ended up walking out and eating at Shake Shack. No one even noticed we left our table. My husband and I have both worked in restaurants in our past so we have a lot of grace for servers, it just wasn’t a great night or experience.
I believe they were setting up for a party outside, so I understand it was busy. Honestly, with how the hostesses acted when we arrived, we felt like if we asked for a server they probably wouldn’t have had a great attitude. I really hope to come back and have a different experience. Food, atmosphere, and the happy hour here are so great, it’s a shame the service doesn’t have the same caliber.
I have to say the restaurant was a beautiful surprise. The rooftop outdoor seating was fabulous. This is tapas so sharing all the different foods was absolutely amazing. The octopus was cooked to perfection. The size portion was nice and overall everything we tried was delicious. I don't eat onions and it seems onions is in everything. I will definitely return.
One of my favorite Sunday chill spots with friends
We enjoyed tapas. We especially like the blue crab croquettes, wrapped dates, mimosas, and the chorizo/waffles. We weren’t fans of the paella. It took too long to cook and it was sub par. Our server was good. She kept checking in and made sure our glasses were full.
Wonderful service and great food. Thank you!!!
The lamb meatballs we ordered was not cooked properly all. Even the chef knew there was a mistake and tired to half fix the problem. It has really put me off ordering it again and that was my favorite dish there. Apart from that I like GK however it’s unlikely I will eat there again. I will only go for drinks. I would appreciate if you can follow up with the chef about the two lamb meatball dishes we were served.
It was very good as always!
First time at Gypsy Kitchen and was very impressed. The food was excellent (our favorite was the grilled Octopus) but the service was even better. Kelly was our waitress and she was great, all her recommendations were on point. The only thing I thought they missed was the special touch of asking if we were celebrating a special occasion which we were, would have been nice for the restaurant to do a little something special for our anniversary. Maybe I'm spoiled since when eating at Seed, they went out of their way to make my husband's birthday very special. But overall, Gypsy Kitchen was a great experience and we will definitely go back.
We had a great time celebrating Father’s Day and my husband’s birthday on the rooftop! Food was delicious and service was great. Our waitress even ran down stairs to deliver my daughter’s purse that she forgot.
We went for Father’s Day brunch. The Bloody Mary Bar is phenomenal, We definitely went back for seconds. All of the brunch dishes are delicious. We will definitely go back for dinner.
It was great
One of the best meals I've had out in a while.
Really great food and service! Outdoor seating was nice and well kept. Service was great, and so was the food!
Yet again, half the stuff we ordered didn’t make it to the table. We ordered a cheese plate (worth 140) and they brought 4 pieces of bread for a party of 6. The waitress was never around. Very disappointing
It was fun. Loved sitting outside on the patio.
Everything was fantastic
We celebrated my wife’s birthday there with 6 friends. The food was good but our waitress was below par. We repeatedly had to ask for drink refills and it took even longer to get our dessert.
I would highly recommend gypsy kitchen for drinks. I have been at least 5 times now and finally made the decision that the food is not good. Drinks and ambiance are fantastic though.
Fantastic food and service! Fun location in Buckhead Village.
The waiter did not offer dessert menu likely because we did not order drinks. We were celebrating a birthday and had to get ice cream downstairs
Highly disappointed with this place! I had heard so many great things and was very excited to try it. It started with having to wait 5-7 minutes to be greeted by a hostess. The food was "okay" but nothing exceptional. The worst part was that they were out of 5 dishes/tapas all together, and the waitress did not make us aware of this until after we ordered. Needless to say, the service was mediocre. The managers only walk around and not pay attention to customer's needs.
Location, employees, cocktails and food strictly recommended: it's definitely my favorite place in Atlanta to hang out for happy hour and dinner.
Food was great as usual!
It felt very warm ...little air flow inside where we were seated.
