Having enjoyed 5 star restaurants in many cities across the globe, GW Fins is a solid 5 star restaurant. For example when my wife and I walked in with black pants on, and they swapped white napkins to black napkins. The food was expertly prepared and not loaded with salt and fat to add flavor.
Food was excellent and service was exquisite. The dry-aged, blackened swordfish was unique and truly superb.
We had before dinner cocktails, very good! The lobster dumplings are outstanding.

We had are 20th wedding anniversary there and GW Fins made it very special. We even got a semi private dining room! Planning to go every year. Food was fabulous!!
We have been to GW Fins several times since 2005 for special occasions. This time I had the soft shell crab which was on top of corn muffin and maque choux, it was exceptional, the crab was cooked just right and the maque choux and corn muffing accentuated it. We also had the fin wings and of course the lobster dumplings which were also amazing. I have consistently enjoyed everything I have had. I also had the pork belly with watermelon which is so delicious. I never thought I would like this combination but this is another tasty appetizer. We had 4 apppetizers and 3 entrees and i cannot say enough about the food it is par excellence. The service is also first class. I love GWFins and I will continue to recommend it to others.
Exquisite meal and impeccable service! My first dine-in meal since the beginning of COVID! Happy to have had my “resurrection” experience with out of state friends at GW Fins. Good food and good ambience, moderately loud; enthusiastic but slow service. We waited 1 hour to get our entree. Formidable wine list at reasonable prices. The coconut sorbet was outstanding; we’ve never had anything comparable.
On a multi city road trip, with 2 night stop in New Orleans. From the time we stepped in the door we were treated as if we were the guests of honor. Oliver, our server, was attentive but not overbearing. From the available wines, the exceptional fish dishes and dessert, the meal was beyond expectations. Highly recommend the Scalibut and Parmesan Encrusted Sheepshead.

We came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Little did I know that GW fins will take it to heart. This is the first time the restaurant staff took the time to find out who the celebrant is and greet them. There were confetti on the table - little gesture but made the day of the celebrant. Food was great. Service was impeccable. Cardell was our server. He was attentive and knew how to respond to my sense of humor. I definitely recommend GW fins and we’ll come back when I’m in NOLA again.
The scalubut was amazing and so was the sheepshead. . We have eaten there on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. You can't get fresher tasting fish anywhere. Best biscuits in the world!
Love GWF. They made the birthday person feel extra special and they accommodated not my request to sit in a perimeter table due to hearing challenges. Food, and service are an A+. Thanks GWF for making our NOLA trip extra special.

The Ceviche was a joy and will be the gold standard that we judge others by. We must eat to live but meals designed to lift the spirit feeds our souls. We were very fortunate have been here on an evening when the stars aligned.

Food was amazing…even if a bit pricey. Service was impeccable … well deserving of 25% tip. Seafood was fresh and delicious. Dessert sent us over the top, we left full and amazed at such a dining experience.
