The food was so amazing I cannot begin to say. Our server Ken was attentive and personable. The shrimp and grits, crab cakes, and ruby red shrimp appetizers were phenomenal.... the Scalibut is a must try. I wasn’t a fan of the peach Panna cotta but I think that comes down to preference. I could seriously bath in the cremé brûlée
From the moment we arrived till the minute we left, we were made to feel special! The food was delicious, the service supreme, and the ambience romantic for our 15th wedding anniversary night!! We will be back, and we highly recommend them for any occasion!!
We have been visiting New Orleans yearly for many years now and tried G.W. Fins for the first time this year. We we’re not disappointed. Good food and our server Destiny was there when we needed her without getting in the way. The cost of the meal was also reasonable for New Orleans. We will be back.
Great spot for fresh seafood. The halibut was amazing as well as the scallops. Definitely a must try.
Excellent food at reasonable pricing. Great service!
There is a rule that men must wear a shirt with a collar. This restaurant is not nice enough to require such a rule. Also, it makes no sense when shorts are allowed. My friend was wearing a solid blue t-shirt, nice pants, and boots and we were made to sit in the bar area (he was also offered a shirt to borrow). We saw both men and women in shorts in the main dining area. Weird.
A GREAT place to meet for dinner before a show at the Saenger Theater. Seafood is excellently prepared, and the varieties of fish is amazing. I suggest that everyone in your group order something different so that you can truly experience the difference in preparation. It's all so good. And if the soft shell crab is available as an appetizer, go for it!
Our anniversary, everything was fantastic!
I have eaten at many restaurants in New Orleans and this may be the best. Impeccable service and outstanding fish dishes that make your mouth water. We will come back the next time we are in the Big Easy!!!
Everything was very good. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend this place !
Service was excellent...food quality and preparation was outstanding...prices were right in-line with the portions
I wanted to try something new while in New Orleans. So glad I tried it! Great flavors and terrific fish! Another must stop to eat at in Nola if you love great sea food! Will not disappoint!
We were really expecting a lot better seafood; we left disappointed.
The bourbon smashed sweet potatoes were the bomb! I’d go back just to have them for dessert!
Lobster ravioli rocks
Service was attentive and thorough. The firecracker tuna tacos were underwhelming, and didn't live up to the name. The wife loved the lobster dumplings and fig salad. I found the soft shell crab, spoonbread, and blue crab corn maque choux delicious.
Excellent food ! Great waiter Nick ! Our favorite restaurant in a town with a lot of excellent restaurants !
Amazing! The tempura fun appetizer is a must!!! Service and food were exceptional.
Good spot. Menu was expansive and offered a lot of good choices. The food was great and the staff was excellent. Had a good time.
Great restaurant to spend our anniversary. Romantic and ambiance was just right. Delicious seafood with creative preparations. We loved the triple wedge salad.
The food was excellent. Service was perfect. Great evening.
Absolutely amazing! My food was delicious! Highly recommend
The food was amazing from the sweet potato mash to the brûlée figs...AMAZING!!!
An outstanding meal with top-notch service. Our waiter was incredibly sharp and charismatic. Everyone we encountered was professional but never stuffy. Great personalities came out from the gentleman serving their amazing biscuits to the man who served our salads. Don't make the mistake of going without a collared shirt or you'll have to wear one of their branded royal blue polos.
this is my favorite restaurant in all of NO - food is always excellent - from the appetizers to the desert - worth the drive and get the lobster dumplings to start.
One of my favorite restaurants in the French Quarter. My fillet was impeccable and the customer service was superb!
ONE OF THE BEST MEALS IVE EVER HAD! THE SWORDFISH WAS COOKED, PERFECTLY!! I'LL DEFINTELY BE BACK.
Upon first walking into the restaurant, we informed them had a reservation and the host’s response was extremely disrespectful. I felt embarrassed because I had carefully chosen the place for my mother’s birthday and we had made reservations several days in advance. I tried to speak to someone else about it who cut me off and said, “well just enjoy from here on out”. I was upset as I had hoped for an apology. It was uncomfortable and I wished I had chosen a different place. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful waiter and the rest of the staff treated us beautifully. They made my mom feel special and our meal was delightful and delicious.
Everything (food, service) was very good to outstanding with one notable exception. We were allocated a table not in the dining room but in a separate room off it which had no “restaurant atmosphere” - indeed our waiter even closed the door between restaurant and room on one occasion until we asked him to reopen it. Bearing in mind I had booked at least 4 weeks before dining this was a major disappointment. Were we to eat again or recommend to anybody else I would insist on a table in the main restaurant.
Always great. My favorite French Quarter restaurant.
Excellent. My wife and I was celebrating our wedding anniversary and the service and meal made it a very special occasion.
Always a favorite when in town!
Service was wonderful and our meal outstanding.
Great food! Fancy meal that we’ll worth the price. Not a NOLA gimmick wanna be.
As usual, the fish was extremely fresh and perfectly cooked. One of the most consistent seafood restaurants in NOLA. High Recommended for visitors and locals alike. FYI, I am a local.
Service and food were impeccable! GW Fins made our visit to the Big Easy memorable and amazing! We highly recommend this restaurant (get the BBQ Shrimp and the Scalibut omg!!). You. Must. Eat. Here.
this restaurant is awesome. We eat here each visit to New Orleans and it seems it gets better each time. Probably not, but the quality of service and food is as good as it gets. No 1 rated restaurant for a reason.
First-time visit to New Orleans to this restaurant. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great restaurant in Nola!
One night only so we chose GW Fins based on a friend's recommendation. I'm so happy we got to try this great restaurant. I had the Scalibut for dinner and started with a crab cake app. This is a must go when you are in the Big Easy.
REally good food.....really good fish. The blackened Swordfish was excellent. The wedge salad is the BEST! The service is good, although maybe a bit overly so. The place large, but has a really nice vibe.
