Elegant and great service from the start! The manager seated us - and Noelle took care of our dining experience! Her food recommendations were spot on. Fish dishes was unique and delicious. Special evening and we look forward to our next visit ! Highly recommend

I don’t write reviews very often but this definitely warranted a review. We were absolutely speechless how amazing our meals were and we probably had the best dessert we have had in an extremely long time. It was eye roll worthy. (Pretzel crust ice cream pie) This a must go when in New Orleans!!!

The dishes were simply perfect from the appetizer of fin wings (must try) and the sheepshead fish. The waitstaff were all wonderful and made helpful recommendations based on their direct knowledge of the menu. If you love fish you can’t miss this restaurant when in New Orleans.

We have eaten at G W Fins several times and have always greatly enjoyed the complete experience. It was my wife’s birthday and they made it extra special, even having one of their staff come over and personally singing Happy Birthday to her. She had the drum fish dish and I had the flounder. Both were excellent!

As we waited for our table (we arrived early), we had well-made cocktails at the bar. At exactly our reservation time, the cheerful hostess found us and escorted us to our table where we found decorated with glittery confetti and a special scroll of the menu with our names and date (it was our anniversary.) Our server was friendly, gregarious and well-versed in the menu. The food was delicious from the homemade biscuits to dessert. We will definitely be back.

Undeniably the best meal I and my friends had while traveling the Gulf Coast! Had the Lobster Bisque, "Scalibut" and Bread Pudding. All were savory and the Shrimp risotto paired well with the Scalibut. The Lobster Bisque was the most savory I have ever tasted and I enjoyed each spoonful. The halibut and scallops combined two of my favorite dishes. The bread pudding put other to shame! Plaudits to Rod for his service. We will return next trip!

Amazing seafood, I think the best in New Orleans and excellent service. The biscuits alone are enough to keep going back. Don't miss out on the lobster dumplings, scalibut, or redfish. Plus their menu changes nightly based on what's freshest.

The food at this restaurant is good, although the service is fair, as the servers only go through delivering plates without providing any personalized service. Also, I am very disappointed that my request to sit by the window wasn't respected.

Excellent food and excellent service. Oliver, our server, was super personal and had great recommendations from the menu, and offered great suggestions on things to do. We definitely recommend reserving a table ahead of time. We will be back again!

The grilled halibut was absolutely wonderful. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I reasonably sure that I've eaten here on every trip I've ever made to New Orleans and will keep that streak going!

Incredible Friday night at GW Fins with waiters Ian and Aaron. We dropped by very early for our 9:15 reservation in hopes of a cancellation. We grabbed a drink at the bar and were seated by 8. From lobster bisque to Ponchatoula Strawberry to Yellowedge Grouper and Gulf Swordfish all arrived from the kitchen with exception presentation and taste. When we asked what the chili hollandaise sauce on another entree we didn't select tasted like, Ian brought us a sample. Love the way the staff goes out of their way to make sure you're accommodated.

My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at GW Fins. From ambience, service and food..all was excellent! As the night went on the noise level did get high and it did get a little hard to hear, but the taste of the food and the awesome service superseded the noise level. Also, the serenading at the end singing happy anniversary was the icing on the cake. Thanks again GW Fins for an awesome evening!
