Carey was amazing! Personable and just a good guy! And the highlight of my day was the French 75!
My wife and I spend every anniversary at GW Fins and try to do a couple of date nights there as well
Our waiter, Gary, was very attentive and could specifically describe the dishes on the menu. Another wait staff member was very attentive as well. We had an unforgettable experience and look forward to returning.
Beyond excellent. I’m beyond words. Just go and enjoy.
We went for Lobster fest. The lobster did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked and the stuffing was delicious. The New Bedford scallops were also perfectly cooked. However, the mushroom risotto that the scallops were paired with, although good on it's own, was not a good complement to the scallops. It felt like a mis-paired surf and turf dish. I would have preferred something lighter and lemony. All of the dishes, including appetizers would have been better had they come out HOT instead of lukewarm.
This is now our #1 restaurant in NOLA! thank you GW Fins!
This was the best meal we had in nola. Snapper belly delish! Scallops were amazing! The little biscuits, yes please! Cocktails were spot on and strong. Our server Paul was super informative and did a fabulous job!
The restaurant was full but not super noisy. We were early and sat in the bar. Service here was great! Our food server was attentive and friendly. Good was amazing!!! Our friend was celebrating a birthday and they had a little confetti on the table! Loved this!! I can’t wait to visit again!
Best dining I had on my recent visit to NOLA. Not to disparage 2 other top 10's I ate at. Best meal this past weekend. Be flexible with dining times.
Always consistently great!
Best restaurant on our stay in New Orleans. Service and food were impeccable and the Lobster Dumplings are one of the best dishes I've EVER had. The Red Snapper and Tuna were also amazing. Portions were perfect and would go back a thousand times. Do not miss!
The food and presentation was amazing
Would definitely return when in NOLA
Lobster fest worth every dollar. Food and service were excellent. Will definitely return
Warm and engaging. The staff was wonderful. Oh yes, the food was fantastic. We are from El Paso Tx and have been to NOLA several times this year. We will return to GW Finns for sure.
I have been going to GW fins since 2004 and now in 2019 the food and service is as impeccable as ever. Our server Rod was engaging and informative. My wife also celebrated a birthday and was given a wonderful desert with a candle as well as special attention from all the staff. My red snapper with creole sauce was delicious and hearty. My wife’s scallop topped halibut was a large portion, moist, and perfectly cooked. The sorbet was out of this world! Imo, the best seafood fine dining in New Orleans. Bravo, Gary!
Perfect dinner while on vacation with family
This was our second visit to the restaurant and it was amazing! The food was delicious and the service outstanding. Looking forward to coming back very soon.
Outstanding meal and service by Felix. Felix is a real pro!
Second time dining here and it was just as good as the first time. Zero complaints on food quality and I highly recommend the Scalibut. We have thoroughly enjoyed our entrees and appetizers on both trips. The atmosphere is nice and the staff has been super courteous and always helpful when trying to decide your order.
Amazing. Best seafood I’ve ever had!
Was here for dinner with a friend tonight. We had Lobster dumpling and pork belly for appetizers. Out of the world!! :) we ordered red snapper for our main course, it was pretty good. Reservations are recommended.
The best of the best always!!
My first experience with GW Fins was exceptional. We were seated promptly. Service was excellent. Very impressed with the quality of the food. I live on the gulf coast and regularly eat seafood. GW Fins is in my top 3 now. I will be back next time I am in New Orleans.
Best seafood fine dining in the city rn.
Our waiter was very good and really friendly. The older hostess at the podium when you come in never says hello or smile. Not friendly at all and not representative of the rest of the staff.
Consistently the best and most creative restaurant for seafood in New Orleans!
The lobster fess was delicious, as usual. Fins is one of my favorite places in NOLA!
Annual trip to NOLA.
We celebrated our anniversary that night. Great service and dinner items were great.
BBQ Shrimp was the best! The staff was attentive but seemed to rush us a bit
Our first time at GW Fins & it did not disappoint. From start to end the meal was amazing! Highly recommend.
The seafood was exceptional, fresh with very nice presentation. Booths are very comfortable with a tiered layout. It is a little loud for my taste but other than that it was a great experience. Manager Brenda was very gracious and attentive to all details. We liked it so much we dined 2 nights in a row.
Amazing food and the service was top notch. Scallops were cooked perfectly. The creme brulee was incredible. I would highly recommend this if you want a dinner that is beyond incredible
I ordered the scalibut but I was not happy getting only one royal red shrimp. I have eaten royal reds for 20 yrs or more really disappointed that only one on my plate. Royal reds are like lobsters they are delicious. Why not serve reds and boiled shrimp served different ways ? Tourist would love that. I am a local who loves shrimp. Overall the meal was good. I will come back.
Hectic and the waiters are excellent but rushed. Feels like a too popular chain. You must want a boisterous atmosphere to really enjoy.
We were in New Orleans for our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we checked in, the staff greeted us by name and wished us a happy anniversary. They had our table decorated with confetti and a special menu was printed just for us.(Same menu, it just had our names on it) the food, as one would expect, was excellent! What really stood out to us was the staff. Every single person, especially our server, were very attentive and helpful. Would definitely go back if we were in NOLA again
GW Fins always exceeds our expectations. Dinner (Scalibut & Scallops) was masterly prepared. We had plenty of choices for wine which was nicely paired with our meal. Every time I am in New Orleans, GW Fins is a place I visit!
GW Fins has joined the upper echelon of New Orleans restaurants, on a par (though without the history yet, of course) of Antoine's, Galatoire's and Commanders Palace, all of which we also ate at this week. The lobster dumplings were a great starter, though I wish there were six rather than just five. All the raves about its signature dish Scalibut (halibut with scallops) are true. Scrumptious! The blackened swordfish also was great. The reasonably priced white chocolate caramel bread pudding was a yummy way to end the meal. Nice selection of wines, too. Our server Randall was attentive and knowledgeable and he offered us some good advice regarding dishes and drinks. The manager came by our table twice to make sure everything was to our liking. If you're looking for a memorable meal, consider GW Fins.
Excellent service staff amazing!!!
