GW Fins is an extraordinary and spectacular world class restaurant! I extremely appreciate their accommodation of our in advance requests for a particular seating arrangement. The whole experience was outstanding from the moment we walked in until we left. Cardel service was perfect…he was knowledgable, friendly, courteous and totally professional. His wine recommendation was right on point. We ordered the lobster dumplings, the tempura Fin wings, yellowfin tuna tartare and all were delicious. The Scalibut was spectacular…a perfect balanced dish. We finished with the chocolate bomb. We would definitely go back and recommend it to everyone else. Thanks again! Manuel

We had a great experience here. The food was delicious. Our server Rod was attentive and friendly. There was always someone stopping by to make sure our water glasses were filled and biscuits were on our bread plates. We highly recommend it.

This place is amazing! Our waiter, Drew, was great. He was attentive, helpful, and very good at his job. The manager, Troy, made the night very special. The food is amazing. You want to go here!!!!

This was my favorite dinner by far visiting New Orleans. My group & I loved it so much. Not only was the food incredible and worth the hype but the service was OUTSTANDING. Every single person that we came across & who touched the table was so kind and genuine. From the host, the server, the assistant server, the manager, the food runners. Everyone. We couldn’t stop talking about how great the staff was. I was celebrating my birthday and they made it very special & memorable. If you’re thinking about going, don’t even hesitate. It’s worth it.

Out of all the fine dining we did in the French Quarter on our week long vacation, GW Fins was by far our best experience! The food, the service and ambiance were all 5 stars. A special shout out goes to the "bread fairy", we love you man, whoever you are!

Not as good as it used to be. We've been dining there the past 20 years. Never seen service on such a steady decline,& for around $100 a person,it should be spot on. Had to ask for biscuits,never got butter,had to ask for water refill. Servers were very nice,but that doesn't make up for lacking basics.

Our waiter Grayson was excellent. He was knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great recommendations. You must try the Tempura Fin Wings and the Salty Malty Ice Cream Pie is to die for. The service was top notch and Grayson made sure we had the best experience. This was the best restaurant we dined at during our New Orleans stay.

Our first time to visit from a recommendation from a friend. We had the BBQ Shrimp and Tuna Tartare for appetizer. There were three of us dining so we each had salads got one of each! Entree we had the Scalibut which was fantastic, Spearfished Barracuda and Parmesan Crusted Spadefish. All three dishes were excellent and highly recommend! The Cajun Old Fashion was delicious also!!

Happy to visit this restaurant while in NOLA great food in flavor and presentation the reception team was lovely and our server too. The other servers kinda absents. I booked for my birthday but never got the candle with the dessert even asking twice. Not a big deal, we will come back for the food !

This was our first time to GW Fins and we were extremely happy with the result. Service (water, bread) was excellent without being obtrusive, the wine list was deep enough for almost any price point, with many excellent choices to accompany seafood or meat dishes. The appetizer lobster dumplings were outstanding, not too rich at all despite being full of lobster meat. Our seafood entrees including their "Scalibut" combination of compressed scallops and halibut, were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. It was really also a pretty good value and our favorite meal of 5 nights out in New Orleans. Would put this on your list for sure.

The food was beyond fabulous. Our server was also fabulous. Our only complaint was the noise level in the restaurant. We had an early reservation and it was fine up until it became a little busier. For a fine dining restaurant, it was a bit annoying.

The 30th anniversary special table, menu and glitter in a quieter room was very nice. The food excellent. We would not have enjoyed being in the very noisy main room.

What a find! This is a lively restaurant but we were in a booth so it was easy to talk. Service was attentive. We went with seafood dishes. The lobster dumplings, scalibot, and redfish we’re all excellent. Dessert was a wonderful sweet and salty pie. I would highly recommend GW Fins.
