Guy Fieri's Chophouse - Bally's Ratings and Reviews
I took my husband here for his Birthday and it was outstanding! Our 1st time there and would absolutely go back. He doesn't normally try new places, he likes pub food/sports bars but I talked him into it. The salmon was amazing as well as the Filet Mignon! Service was impeccable!
My salmon was excellent! And the shrimp salad. Other than that, everything else was not. First they served you pretzel bread with a honey butter mustard. Weird, not good. Pretzel bread terrible. We ordered from the 39$ menu. The shrimp salad was very good, but heavy on the dressing. I ordered the salmon and it came with zucchini and potatoes sticks. Salmon excellent, but everything was very greasy. Salmon had a big gob of butter on it and the plate had a lot of grease/butter on bottom from potatoes and zucchini. My wife ordered the crab cake (1). Very little crab and had a weird taste. She thought it was dill pickles added to the crab cake. Tarter sauce weird with big pieces of pickle in it. Dessert was to go and when we opened it later, it literally was 1/2 a slice of cheesecake. One bite. My wife’s brownie was at least a bigger size.
Enjoyed an incredible dinner here on 11/18/17. Roxie, our server, was so friendly and welcoming and took great care of us during our meal. Each of our entrees was beautifully presented and excellent in taste....crab cakes and 18 ounce prime rib. My husband said the prime rib was some of the best he has ever tasted and he knows his prime rib! The wedge salads were awesome but HUGE! So you can easily split between two people. That goes for the other sides too...grilled broccoli and mashed potato bomb. The pretzel like rolls and spiced butter at the beginning of our meal were to die for! Wonderful experience which we hope to repeat next time we go to Atlantic City!
Horrible food awful service. They told guy in front of us they had no tables available for hour and half but his party could sit at bar. The place was almost empty on Friday night! The service was slow. Food was absolutely horrible. The steak, chicken, all of it. Guy Fieri needs to take his name off this place. I can see why place was empty now. I can’t believe we gave up reservation at Morton’s for this! Do not recommend.
I have mixed feelings about my experience. Overall I had a good time. We were seated by the window and the over all vibe was great. The hostess (I forget her name. Blonde and tall) was very nice, acknowledged my birthday and even check on my boyfriend and I halfway through. The $39 menu was great! We enjoyed our apps, entrees, and desserts. However we ordered too additional sides which were disappointing. I was REALLY looking forward to the Big Rig and 2 of the toppings I requested were forgotten AND the cheese wasn't even melted. The spinach was bland. We were only checked on once at the end of the meal so I had to deal with the disappointing Big Rig. I also didnt get a birthday song like other patrons and was given a piece of cheesecake with an apology. The idea of the CHOPHOUSE is great especially with Guys name on it but the execution just didn't do it for me.
The waitress Roxi was awful. we ordered two turkey burger with nothing on it because we don’t eat cheese and cheese come on it with raw meat very disappointed. The manager needs more skills on management if I am unsatified why would you ask if I would like to leave a tip. Are you crazy??? Guy fieri take your name off of this restaurant. After the restaurant we went to the casino and security followed us why??? We came here to celebrate someone 50th and he loves guy fieri very bad experience never again. Atlantic City is really down and out
Our first time at the restaurant and the food was delicious. We wasn’t too fond of the chocolate cheesecake with the chip. The steak I should have said medium well. Overall it was great. I came for my boyfriend birthday and he loved the pasta and crab cake. Thank you.
We stopped at Guy Fieri's Chophouse for a pre-concert meal. We had made reservations for 5:30, but decided to eat at the bar to watch football and talk. Service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and very attentive. Tried several sample beers before deciding on what I wanted. Both meals were excellent. The appetizer, entrée and desert were spread out nicely. The food was fantastic. Would definitely go again. Loved the atmosphere, the service and the entire meal.
Very disappointed in our meal. Expected more from a Guy Fieri restaurant and left feeling like it was an overpriced chain restaurant with run of the mill offerings. On a positive note the service was fabulous and the ambiance was nice. However, we will not return or recommend to others.
Positives: Service was great, and the place had a nice ambiance.
Negatives: (1) We sat in a booth, and it was too tight for people on both sides. Nobody at the table was severely overweight either. (2) Food quality was low. Comparable to what I'd expect from a good NJ diner, not a celebrity chef. (3) Prices were high. I'm OK paying a premium for good food - especially at a celebrity chef's restaurant; however, the prices were high to begin with and that combined with the low quality made this a regrettable choice for dinner.
Overall: I would recommend staying away from this place.
Fantastic overall experience. Our waiter Sub Zero was great in all aspects of a server. From knowledge of wine to food to kitchen to desserts he was on top of his game. The food very nice presentation and very flavorful. One of the best dining experiences I've had in AC. The pork chop was very flavorful and well presented. Caesar salad nice and the 1/2 chicken well cooked and juicy. Loved the baked potato topped with mashed pot and fried onions!! Very attentive waitstaff and I can't wait to return.
Our meal was very good. My husband had the prime rib. Excellent. Very tender and juicy. I had the pan seared scallops. They were exceptional! The scallops were tastey and cooked just right. As an appetizer you can't go wrong with the crab stuffed mushrooms. Excellent.
We had a TravelZoo voucher. $89 for a 3 course dinner for two, with "valet parking" included. Made reservations on Open Table, because no one at the restaurant answered the phone to take a reservation. Called again to see how the parking voucher worked. We were told to NOT park with valet, but do the self park deck. On the way out, the self park deck cashier refused to take our voucher and screamed at us!!!! (We screamed back for 5 mins, and he let us out for free...) Food was very good. Had tempura shrimp and asparagus, salmon, fillet mignon. chocolate brownie dessert, Chianti wine. The place was crowded, but not real tight. Comfortable seating. Would eat there again! Oh, the service was great. Everyone from the hostess to the waiters were great. View was nice, too.
We used a groupon to try out one of our favorite tv foodies, boy were we disappointed!!
We waited a half hour, there were obvious empty tables, our waiter was openly rude to my husband and I when we said we had a groupon, snached the menus away and gave us " groupon menus". While our friends sitting with us sat, jaws open because of the way we were treated.
It took forever for our drinks, they weren't busy, our appetizers were good, the servings were tiny!!
My husband and I had prime rib, luke warm is being generous, the meat did not impress. The couple paying full price were not wow at all.
Desert was good and huge, wondering why the food portions were so small and the treat was so big.
I had been to the Chophouse during a previous visit to AC and knew when I came back I wanted to go again. I love the lamb chops and the Shrimp appetizers. First time there I had the CORN side dish . I think it's called street corn, but the second time inNOvember it wasn't available. I missed it and was told it was a summer item. I hope this side dish of corn can be put back on the menu for the entire year.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a getaway to Atlantic City and had a lovely dinner upstairs at Bally’s Hotel/Casino. The food is always cooked to perfection. I had the French Onion Soup and Prime Rib. My husband enjoyed the Ahi tacos and Sushi. We each had a glass of wine. They brought out a complimentary peanut butter cheesecake with Birthday candle to add to our celebration. Our table overlooked the boardwalk and Atlantic Ocean. The waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable. Reservations are highly recommended- especially for weekends as it is regularly packed. A bonus is that they accept casino comps which helps with the upscale prices. We know we will always leave full, satisfied and smiling.
Everything was great! The service was perfect! The lobster Mac and cheese was amazing I couldn't stop eating it! We have tried another restaurant that guy owns in the Poconos. We had such a great experience that we had to try this one! I'm amazed at how well staffed all of his restaurant are! I have worked in the food industry for over ten years and I'm impressed! The manager made sure to check on us after our food arrived. I'm looking forward to trying more of his restaurants!
We had dinner here after my daughters dance convention had finished up for the night. We ordered from the limited lower priced menu which was a good deal for us. The restaurant was loud and the service was a little slow, the servers were friendly but seemed a little over whelmed. The food was delicious and we did enjoy our dinning experience.
Inconsistent is the word from service to food. Busboy and other servers gave better attention and service than our waiter. We ordered the same ribeye steak while one was tender and delicious the other tough and horrible. No one came back to check. The sides were luke warm. I wanted to enjoy this restaurant but there are far better steakhouses in Atlantic City than this one for the same amount of money.
Waitress was very nice until I informed her that we were using a GROUPON and then attitude seemed to change as though we were second class citizens....she was not very informed about the groupon as she told me I was only able to get wine not a cocktail despite it saying wine OR cocktail and she allowed us to order from the regular menu before coming back five minutes late with a smaller menu saying we had to pick other meal options.
