Gusto Grill Ratings and Reviews
second time dining here, first time was great. disappointed with both duck dishes, overcooked and tough, they were perfect the first time. the steak and short rib dinners were just as good as last time. consistency is the name of the game. we will give it a third try
My server Beata was very attentive to my table with my family. She made sure we saw the specials before placing our entree orders. It’s my 21st bday so when she asked for my ID she joked around that it doesn’t work and I found that pretty funny. The flight of beer I had was very tasteful. From the starters to the entrees everything tasted incredible. 10 out of 10 would come back. I would definitely ask for Beata.
Food (coffee encrusted steak) was good but entree came out cold. Since we waited for a while didn't want to send back to take up more time. Server was pleasant atmosphere lively. It was very cold had to ask for air to be turned down (vent was right above our heads though). Place was packed. But we had open table reservations so were seated right away.
Restaurant had our table ready and we were promptly seated. Went downhill from there. The service was incredibly slow. It took over an hour just to get appetizers out. Dinners were extremely delayed; some were hot; some were cold. Their kitchen was clearly backed up and not able to handle a Saturday night dinner crowd. Very disappointed.
I brought my parents here for their anniversary dinner and they loved it. Usually my mother likes to point out the things wrong with her food but this was one of the very few times she said her food tasted amazing. I tried the chicken tacos but did not find anything different about them from other restaurants - in fact there was too much chicken in the tortilla. The asian sweet and spicy wings were a hit for the table and I always love margherita pizza wherever I go. The cookie sundae was amazing and you can substitute the vanilla ice cream with salted caramel icecream which tastes great - a waitress from a previous visit mentioned that to me and I'm glad she did. Nice atmosphere, and would recommend to try it out.
Gusto Grill is a local favorite. We don't get there as often as we'd like, but when we get the opportunity for date night or a lunch date or gathering with friends, it's always a great choice. Our server this particular evening was excellent - very engaging, knowledgable about the menu. The wine was excellent, and the food was top notch as always. We were sad that the cheese plate is no longer an option. We really liked getting that as an appetizer or sometimes as a dessert.
The food was great however it was extremely overpriced to pay $16 for one piece of octopus is completely ludicrous. Although the price of the burger at $12 was reasonable.. it was al la carts so you then needed to buy fries which start at $4. The food was great but I will not be coming back again.
Being new to the area and having a rare date night out I made reservations on Open Table almost a week ahead of time so I was disappointed to be seated with a perfect view of the kitchen doors & restrooms while there were other available tables around me but the food and drinks did not disappoint, I had the Secret Affair & my husband tried a few of the very original cocktails and we were more than satisfied. The calamari was delicious and my husband's coffee crusted steak was such a nice surprise with great flavors. Pasta with the short rib was just OK but the dessert was tasty. We are excited to return and try the Sunday brunch. In an area with nothing but chain restaurants its great to have Gusto Grill as an option for a real meal.
We were celebrating a birthday of a friend. We arrived early and sat in a booth near a window which was very comfortable. The waitress was super! Everything was served in a timely fashion. The food was delicious and presentation was appealing to the eye. For dessert, we had the New York cheese cake. The birthday girl's dessert had a candle in it which was a nice touch. The cheese cake was great. A very nice early evening dinner & celebration.
This is a very pleasant place that sits right o the borderline between A good neighborhood place and fine dining. The decor is welcoming, but the dinner menu is pretty ambitious. I the case of my swordfish, they were very successful. The fish was perfectly cooked and attractively presented. Our appetizer crab cakes were light and delicious and came with a delicious sauce. Our waitress was particularly pleasant and attentive. All in all, a very nice experience
Comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent. The duck and the short rib dinners were delicious. The watermelon salad, and soup, which was a roasted tomato with a shrimp cream sauce were very tasty. Our waitress, Victoria, was super nice and a great server. First time we were here, we will definitely be back.
