Excellent food and service!! This was our second time and was as fabulous as the first time. Love the farm to fresh ingredients and great dishes they offer
Had visited before for salads and apps which were fairly good and despite other lackluster reviews my party and I decided to visit again for dinner.
The portions were small especially for the price which wouldn’t have been a problem if the food was appealing. Tuna was so overdone it looked like pork, The steak was unevenly cooked and the tasteless burger was a compacted frozen style on par with those served at a luncheonette. Disappointing, won’t be back.
Made a reservation but still had to wait around 15 minutes even though tables were empty. Shared a kale salad which is a good size and asked them to split it in the kitchen. They didn’t. Had to ask for an extra plate. I ordered a tuna and cavatelli entree from the specials- it was ok- I was expecting sushi grade - my mistake because it didn’t say that on the menu. I do have to say the beet and cucumber martini was pretty fabulous- this place has always had great cocktails.
I thought this would be a nice dinner spot for a date turns out it was just ok... all the tables around us got bread however we had to request it and it arrived with our appetizers my date was not thrilled with the food at all... for the price of the burger it would think it was gonna be tasteful and superb but at best I rather would have gotten one from Friday’s with more robust and flavor.... the ambiance is was ok nothing special... I ordered a martini and it was a bit strong considering it’s suppose to be a smooth cocktail. They are above 1 star but it just didn’t impress me at all...
Food, pricey and very small portions. Mahi mahi tacos super spicy and was not fish. Seemed like beef but they insisted it Service was fine.
We came here a couple of months ago and the place was full. this time only a few tables were occupied, there was very few customers and I'm not surprised. No Turkey burger was available. The pizza that I ordered came warm. They charged me twice for a small glass of orange juice. Every other restaurant I know offers free refills on juices. I paid 8$ for two time glasses if juice Haha. The server was not friendly whatsoever.
Nice place. Definitely would return again
I was meeting someone for the first time and the restaurant made the whole experience very comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely going back.
A perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. The hand crafted artisanal cocktails and craft beer selection has something for everyone.
First time I was disappointed with food. Too Spicy hot to eat. Ramen noodle bowl.
food good but very noisy. no acoustics inside to muffle the sound.
Gusto Grill is a fun dining spot. Their beer and wine menu is outstanding. The dinner menu is also outstanding. Their classic burger is anything but classic. I would say it is one of the best burgers you can find in NJ. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy and while it’s great for families it is also great for date night. The staff is fantastic and they put the emphasis on customer service.
ingredients fresh and well prepared. service was good. menu a little limited
Always a great dining experience at Gusto Grill
The food was very good. Loved the wings and the soup special that they had that night. It was similar to a French onion soup. The waitress was very attentive. The staff all seemed to help each other. They worked as a team. Would go back again. Great beer choices.
Not a fan of sesame seeds on the bread, love the edamame hummus and kale salad. A little pricey and for that price I’d appreciate filtered not tap water!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. We ordered a crab cake appetizer with a side of fingerling potatoes as one meal and the salmon entree with asparagus as the second. Both meals were delicious and nicely presented. We finished with a shared frozen chocolate mousse, which was also very tasty. We each had a cocktail which were prepared to our liking. Service was attentive. The only less than pleasing aspect of the meal was the noise level. There were several large parties when we arrived but even after their departure it was challenging to carry on a conversation.
We had dinner with friends. Our server seemed disappointed that we didn't order drinks or appetizers. She asked us more than once after we declined. What bothered me the most about the restaurant was the extra charge $4.00 for fries with your 11.00 hamburger! I found that really greedy who charges for fries if you order a burger it should come with it or just include it in the price don't make it an upcharge. The food was tasty, but the room was loud and hard to have a conversation.
Would recommend whenever you are in the area! Great food and very good vegetarian options.
My husband steak was hard as a rock and dry. The two drinks we ordered were tastless and water down. The waitress was nice and attentive . For the price we excepted better food. We went on Father's Day and our bill was over $200 for food that no ate and left most of it on the table. We did't even want to take it home. Will not return and will not recommend.
Always a great place to eat.
Great dining as usual, but they clearly don't read the "special instructions" section when making a reservation. A birthday at the table was not acknowledged.
I tried the New England Flat Bread as well as the Pasta Bowl with grilled chicken. They were both amazing!
I've been here many times, and always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The service is great too!
Waiter seemed unenthused and was barely found throughout dinner. Drinks from the bar were lousy. Not sure if this place is better during the week but Sunday staff were a thumbs down. 👎 Extremely unattentive from the moment we sat down.
Meeting with friends, the food was excellent, the service was great and the atmosphere was good. We will definitely be back
Always good food. Never been disappointed.
Have been to Gusto many times. Seems as if there may have been some change in management. There was no hostess when we arrived - had to wait quite a bit Staff looked unfamiliar. Usually staff is dressed in black pants- now in jeans. Service was not great- Waiter was friendly, however not attentive.
Restaurant was clean and offers a good 1st impression; some food are good -
However the skirt steak was very tough and hard to chew. Service was OK;
waiter was not in sight most of the night.
I have dined here many times. We had an early reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter was overwhelmed and it was only 630 in the evening. My friend asked for a club soda immediately and it took 3 more requests. He actually brought a sample of a beer on tap to one of the other people seated at the table before he brought the club soda. We almost had to shame him into bringing it.
The food is always good and my favorite drink ON HOLIDAY is terrific. The service needed to be a little more attentive and we were charged gratuity before we even had a chance to decide if his service warranted the amount on the bill.
Very pleasantly surprised. This restaurant has been in town for a many years but I haven’t dined there for several years due to a couple of bad experiences years ago. The food, this time, was delicious with excellent service. Not a huge menu, but something for everyone. I’d call it upscale bar food
The menu was diverse and interesting. The beer selection was great too. Our appetizer and entrees were delicious. It was warm in the loft but that was to be expected.
Went for mother's day. Grandma & Mom, husbands in tow, and 2 grandsons ages 8 & 11, all enjoyed a terrific meal. Started with calamari, five cheese pizza and crab cake appetizers. Probably enough for dinner, but two slices of the pizza went home. Grandma and grandpa had swordfish and ribs, respectively. Both were delicious. Both had them for lunch on Monday. The boys had pork chop and steak/crab combo respectively. They had a little left over, not much. The other adults had burgers. They enjoyed them. Had a lovely table for six by the window overlooking the patio. Great for the privacy! Been there before, will be back for more.
P.S. - no dessert at the restaurant. The boys had a bake off with Grandma's supervision in the afternoon, so we had a chocolate cake and a lemon layer cake for dessert. Both as good as the meal.
Had Mother's Day lunch for 8. We were given a table on the second floor which was fine with us. We ordered apps (the calamari was really good!) and shrimp/avocado rolls. The apps came within a reasonable time. However, the entrees took a very long time, and by the time they were served to us, the food was no longer hot. It looked like they were ready to be served but sat in the kitchen waiting for someone to take it upstairs. We wondered maybe it was because we were upstairs and our server was not always checking on us nor our food. Shouldn't matter - they should have made sure everything was ok. One of the dishes we ordered (ribs) was also tough and dry (could be because it sat out and got cold). We had them take it back and just did not order a replacement (figured it would take time). We decided to celebrate mother's day at Gusto Grill because we had good dining experience in the past. This time it was different. It's sad to see the quality and service of Gusto Grill decline. I don't think I will be back; there are many other restaurants in the area that provide not only good quality food, but also exceptional service. The management should seriously look at this and bring back what Gusto used to be.
We really enjoyed our pre-show dinner at Gusto Grill. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was great. Try the Lamb Burger. It was a nice spin on the usual burger.
I treated a good friend to dinner there. When we arrrived, there was a party in progress and I was concerned it would be very noisy. Fortunately, the party ended about 20 minutes into our dinner time there. My friend enjoyed her burger and sweet potato fries, while I had a delicious salad and grilled salmon. The service was also fine. All in all, the food was very good and I look forward to returning to Gusto Grill soon.
I have never been to Gusto Grill before & my frist experience was pretty great. The place looked very clean and the decor was pleasant. Got seated & the server came over...he suggested a beer from the list which I enjoyed very much (I did ask). My date had the ramen and I had the lamb burger. Food was delicious & didn’t take too long. It was very loud in the restaurant but that was really the only thing that could of been better. His one lady just was like yell/laughing and could even hear my date talk at one point. We made fun of her and just continued our conversation. Server was Excellent. Thank you. Overall 4 out of 5.
We were disappointed at the very limited menu choices. It was a struggle to decide.
Although the service was a bit slow (visits to see if we needed refills, dessert, check etc), the waitress was very sweet and the food was wonderful. The temperature was very cool but management acted quickly when asked by clientele to adjust it.
We had an enjoyable anniversary dinner and the bread pudding was wonderful!!!
Busy - reservations required. Mostly, I believe as it is one of the few “non chain” restaurants on this area of Route 18. It was ok. Extended waits without checking in on table (“How is everything?”) so we looked for our waitress and waived when needing something. I find that awkward. I would have had a second drink but never was asked, so I drank water with meal. I guess it’s cheaper and healthier. The extended delays were with delivery of entree and then again with dessert. We had burgers. My dessert was apple pie alamode and it was warmed apple pie filling placed inside a hard pie shell cup. The positive is we wanted to catch up with people we were with and we had plenty of time, with no interruptions.
