My husband steak was hard as a rock and dry. The two drinks we ordered were tastless and water down. The waitress was nice and attentive . For the price we excepted better food. We went on Father's Day and our bill was over $200 for food that no ate and left most of it on the table. We did't even want to take it home. Will not return and will not recommend.
Great dining as usual, but they clearly don't read the "special instructions" section when making a reservation. A birthday at the table was not acknowledged.
I tried the New England Flat Bread as well as the Pasta Bowl with grilled chicken. They were both amazing!
I've been here many times, and always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The service is great too!
Waiter seemed unenthused and was barely found throughout dinner. Drinks from the bar were lousy. Not sure if this place is better during the week but Sunday staff were a thumbs down. 👎 Extremely unattentive from the moment we sat down.
Meeting with friends, the food was excellent, the service was great and the atmosphere was good. We will definitely be back
Have been to Gusto many times. Seems as if there may have been some change in management. There was no hostess when we arrived - had to wait quite a bit Staff looked unfamiliar. Usually staff is dressed in black pants- now in jeans. Service was not great- Waiter was friendly, however not attentive.
Restaurant was clean and offers a good 1st impression; some food are good -
However the skirt steak was very tough and hard to chew. Service was OK;
waiter was not in sight most of the night.
I have dined here many times. We had an early reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter was overwhelmed and it was only 630 in the evening. My friend asked for a club soda immediately and it took 3 more requests. He actually brought a sample of a beer on tap to one of the other people seated at the table before he brought the club soda. We almost had to shame him into bringing it.
The food is always good and my favorite drink ON HOLIDAY is terrific. The service needed to be a little more attentive and we were charged gratuity before we even had a chance to decide if his service warranted the amount on the bill.
Very pleasantly surprised. This restaurant has been in town for a many years but I haven’t dined there for several years due to a couple of bad experiences years ago. The food, this time, was delicious with excellent service. Not a huge menu, but something for everyone. I’d call it upscale bar food
The menu was diverse and interesting. The beer selection was great too. Our appetizer and entrees were delicious. It was warm in the loft but that was to be expected.
Went for mother's day. Grandma & Mom, husbands in tow, and 2 grandsons ages 8 & 11, all enjoyed a terrific meal. Started with calamari, five cheese pizza and crab cake appetizers. Probably enough for dinner, but two slices of the pizza went home. Grandma and grandpa had swordfish and ribs, respectively. Both were delicious. Both had them for lunch on Monday. The boys had pork chop and steak/crab combo respectively. They had a little left over, not much. The other adults had burgers. They enjoyed them. Had a lovely table for six by the window overlooking the patio. Great for the privacy! Been there before, will be back for more.
P.S. - no dessert at the restaurant. The boys had a bake off with Grandma's supervision in the afternoon, so we had a chocolate cake and a lemon layer cake for dessert. Both as good as the meal.
Had Mother's Day lunch for 8. We were given a table on the second floor which was fine with us. We ordered apps (the calamari was really good!) and shrimp/avocado rolls. The apps came within a reasonable time. However, the entrees took a very long time, and by the time they were served to us, the food was no longer hot. It looked like they were ready to be served but sat in the kitchen waiting for someone to take it upstairs. We wondered maybe it was because we were upstairs and our server was not always checking on us nor our food. Shouldn't matter - they should have made sure everything was ok. One of the dishes we ordered (ribs) was also tough and dry (could be because it sat out and got cold). We had them take it back and just did not order a replacement (figured it would take time). We decided to celebrate mother's day at Gusto Grill because we had good dining experience in the past. This time it was different. It's sad to see the quality and service of Gusto Grill decline. I don't think I will be back; there are many other restaurants in the area that provide not only good quality food, but also exceptional service. The management should seriously look at this and bring back what Gusto used to be.
We really enjoyed our pre-show dinner at Gusto Grill. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was great. Try the Lamb Burger. It was a nice spin on the usual burger.
I treated a good friend to dinner there. When we arrrived, there was a party in progress and I was concerned it would be very noisy. Fortunately, the party ended about 20 minutes into our dinner time there. My friend enjoyed her burger and sweet potato fries, while I had a delicious salad and grilled salmon. The service was also fine. All in all, the food was very good and I look forward to returning to Gusto Grill soon.
I have never been to Gusto Grill before & my frist experience was pretty great. The place looked very clean and the decor was pleasant. Got seated & the server came over...he suggested a beer from the list which I enjoyed very much (I did ask). My date had the ramen and I had the lamb burger. Food was delicious & didn’t take too long. It was very loud in the restaurant but that was really the only thing that could of been better. His one lady just was like yell/laughing and could even hear my date talk at one point. We made fun of her and just continued our conversation. Server was Excellent. Thank you. Overall 4 out of 5.
We were disappointed at the very limited menu choices. It was a struggle to decide.
Although the service was a bit slow (visits to see if we needed refills, dessert, check etc), the waitress was very sweet and the food was wonderful. The temperature was very cool but management acted quickly when asked by clientele to adjust it.
We had an enjoyable anniversary dinner and the bread pudding was wonderful!!!
Busy - reservations required. Mostly, I believe as it is one of the few “non chain” restaurants on this area of Route 18. It was ok. Extended waits without checking in on table (“How is everything?”) so we looked for our waitress and waived when needing something. I find that awkward. I would have had a second drink but never was asked, so I drank water with meal. I guess it’s cheaper and healthier. The extended delays were with delivery of entree and then again with dessert. We had burgers. My dessert was apple pie alamode and it was warmed apple pie filling placed inside a hard pie shell cup. The positive is we wanted to catch up with people we were with and we had plenty of time, with no interruptions.
Fabulous ... food is always amazing! Service is fabulous
A decent place to drink and dine. I liked the ambiance and their service. They have good choice of draft beers, and other liquor.
At brunch, really delicious: croissants for the table, excellent kale/goat cheese omelet, and Gusto salad with grilled chicken. Very yummy.
Great selection and food was well prepared and delicious! Our server was incredibly nice and professional. Since it is a busy place with lots of conversation going on, The only thing that would have made the experience better was if there was no background music. Two of the people in our party have hearing issues and the driving beat of the music on top of the conversations all around made it difficult for them. But all in all we had a great time And I definitely would recommend this place to others.
Great food and service. Loved the ambience. Excellent dining experience.
The good was excellent as was the service !
Great meal and very much enjoyed the food. Had a problem getting refills on our water and soda and never asked if I wanted another drink.
For having a few years of being a hostess, I know what is expected of the position; smiling, friendly, polished, enthusiastic. Upon arrival, I immediately felt the hostess was not happy to be working that day. She was giving dirty looks as she sat my family and I, along with every customer. It's okay that someone may not have the best day, however, people pay for a service. For me only visiting once I was surprised with the server and how attentive she was, she was kind and most importantly she smiled ALL the time. Dinner that day was important for me that because I was talking my father out for his birthday. I'm glad she made it a great experience.
The portions on the steak with crab on top were extremely small. The steak was well done and tough when I asked for it to be medium and our waiter went home mid service and we were left stranded until we had to ask for someone to come over (which I hate doing) It was not worth $25 at all.
Not bad for a chain price is right but service was slow constantly waiting for our waiter so for me it's a thumbs down
The service, food and drinks were very good as it always is.
Food overall was so-so. We ordered the whole wheat pizza salad. The waitress warned that the plate was hot to touch - but the pizza was cold and hard! Presentation was not great.
We were 4 of us at the table. When asked for the dessert menu, the waitress gave us one, and only took the order from 2 of us.
Booth seats were very uncomfortable and uneven.
Attentive service, great cocktails, varied menu. Try the Sun Brunch.
Delicious food, excellent service, and a responsive manager. He even made a gift card donation on the spot for a fundraiser for which we were soliciting.
Took the family for my twin daughters birthday celebration. It was clean, comfortable and the food was very good. Everyone finished their meal and said they enjoyed it. The cocktails were delicious as well. Our server was friendly and efficient. Will go back again.
The menu is pretty diverse. The aroma of grilled burgers permeates the parking lot, so that’s what my heart was set on. Gusto uses Wagyu beef, so we’re on target there. It was lacking a plain old burger with lettuce and tomato. (Newsflash: not everyone likes bacon and pork roll, as some burgers featured.) Other than that, no complaints. The fries were top notch, as another reviewer observed. Dessert menu was limited, but we enjoyed the chocolate mousse. Staff was friendly and our server was efficient.
Great Food, Great service, Great Place!
Great atmosphere, the staff was extremely friendly and the food was perfect! I had the calamari and crab meat top sirloin which were both cooked just right!
This was the first time dining at Gustos. The food was fantastic and the service was 5 stars!! Highly recommend!!
We were celebrating a friend's birthday. There were 6 of us. Our waitress was terrific! We had a really enjoyable dinner.
Portions were good. Happy hour on Sunday was great. Service was sub par. Restaurant ran out of many of it's main dishes and while I understand this happens, there wasn't a backup option.
