Gusto (pronounced Goo-sto) means tasty in Italian. Since opening our doors in 2012, Gusto 101 has been serving up modern takes on Southern Italian classics. As with Trattoria Nervosa in Yorkville, Janet Zuccarini has meshed a passion for creating memorable food with a vision for delivering soulful, transporting dining experiences.

We put as much care and consideration into our food and drink as we do our architecture and design. Located in a repurposed garage in the heart of downtown Toronto, our restaurant has become a neighbourhood gathering place. Whether you’re craving the warmth of a wood-fired grill or a glass of wine on our rooftop patio, we do our best to merge the everyday with the exceptional.

Not a bad experience, but the whole place was very hot so it was a little uncomfortable. The food was pretty good. It came really fast. I got the Malfade - It was good but very filling and it could be a little oily. The place was really busy and it could be quite loud, although it was interesting listening to the chefs in the kitchen.

Don’t go on a hot day. The air conditioning is non-existent and we were roasting hot. Otherwise everything was great.

Food was excellent and service was really good. The unfortunate part was it was so hot. The temperature was so uncomfortable.

Overall experience was decent, service was a little slow when wanting to order starters/mains. Food was great, mushroom pasta is always a favorite. At the end of the experience between getting the bill and the server coming back to the table with the machine was probably 10-15 minutes.
