Absolutely the best!! I haven’t been here for over 20 years(oh my! Because we moved) I was so missing this restaurant that my daughter gave me a trip to California, partially to just go here(because I’ve talked about it so much!) and to go again to Disneyland! I’m soon to be 67 so this just may be my last trip to the west coast. Thank you for still serving the very BEST prime rib!! We enjoyed it so much!!
The food here is incredibly consistently good. We had the Prime Rib Bones. Bring your appetite. If you like escargot, the escargot here is incredible. Each has a very nice thin pastry on top of individual escargot. Don't forget to get the creamy corn. Very good value for the size of portions and quality. Drinks are also excellent.
The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, like eating in an English Manor house. The food is excellent, especially the prime rib dinners and all that goes with them.
We went for my sister's birthday. The food was pretty awesome. The steak was perfectly cooked, server recommended that I get the butter and pepper on my ribeye. The sides really made the dish though. I wanted to eat everything. I'm not sure what they did to the baked potato but it was the best baked potato I've ever had. Loved our server too. He was really funny when I asked him questions, made really good suggestions, and was overall really charming.
Excellent Prime Rib. That is what they are noted for. Very Friendly staff. Nice Ambiance beautifully appointed. Xmas decorations were everywhere. Very nicely done.
The restaurant looks like I imagine it looked 30 years ago. I appreciate that. The menu is classic steak house.
I ordered the filet and requested it be cooked medium. It was served well done. This was very disappointing. The server didn’t come back soon enough for me to return it (the rest of the party would have been done by the time I got my steak back). The sides we ordered for the table were not delivered until we were half way through the meal.
For The prices they charge, the service should be better.
great PRIME RIB Tony is the best waiter you could ask for there i suggest you ask for him he's great
My duck was way overcooked (actually tasted reheated) and did not look appetizing on the plate. My husband's prime rib was tough. Disappointing!
The host could not do more to make everyone happy in the midst of the New Years Eve chaos. Our waitress, Michelle, made the evening with her charming personality and attention to detail. She's fantastic! And the food was typical Gulliver's Great. My 'outside cut' melted in my mouth.
Wonderful New Years Eve dinner
The evening was good but could have been better. The reservation was for 7:45, they were busy, and we were seated by 8:15. Unfortunately the restaurant wanted to close at 10 and we were rushed to leave soon after. While the food was good, the closure was very disappointing and caused what should have been a very enjoyable, formal, celebration to be cut short.
We’ve been coming to Gullivers since 1984 and it’s never dissapointed us. We highly recommend this Restaurant
Food was excellent. Service was OK. Waiter was asked twice for more bread and said yes. No bread ever arrived. Must have forgotten. The atmosphere was excellent. Male Bartender needs to smile a little. Not friendly
Amazing food and atmosphere! First time at here and it did not disapoint! We came for an early New Year’s Eve dinner! The prime rib was incredible. My son had the fillet and he loved it! Great experience. We will be back.
Very good meal!
Been going to Gullivers for 30 years and haven't been disappointed.
Food and everything very good. Just not sure (PERSONALLY) that I want to pay 38.00 plus tip anymore for salmon. Creamed corn is really special though.
Overall excellent food and service
Birthday. Our waitress was great, a second generation Gullivers waitress (her Mother waitressed at Gullivers starting in 1970). We’ve been coming to Gullivers since 1971.
We love the tradition and the menu’s quality & consistency.
I’ll make one suggestion, however. While we understand the political correctness environment in which the “Serving Wench” was abandoned, we don’t understand why the “Glubdubdrib” salad was changed to the lackluster, boring, “House” Salad. To do away with the charm and uniqueness characterized by the Glubdubdrib moniker has been one of the worst decisions the owners ever made.
Sorry, not sorry. Would love to hear the “reasoning” behind that move in the 90s.
BRING BACK GLUBDUBDRIB!
We celebrated two anniversaries at Gullivers. The food was great, ambiance lovely and service excellent. We enjoyed ourselves very much. I definitely would recommend it to a friend
Great staff! Holiday Decorations are amazing! From the management to the servers to the Bar staff - fantastic people that make you feel like family. Special shout out to Dennis the bartender for his work on Decorations. It’s our family tradition that we come here during Christmas time to see how beautiful the whole facility is decorated.
Christmas time is so nice here since they really do up the decorations. Food is always yummy and we seem to always take home as much as we ate in our doggy bag. Of course, the prime rib is the specialty, but we also had the rib eye steak and that was outstanding!
We go to Gulliver's for our anniversary (Christmas Eve) every year and it has always been GREAT. Our server this year was Deborah and she made our evening special.
WE had excellent service, great food, I was so full we had to take half home. Love the creamed corn. great place to go for special occasion. Server was attentive and knowledgeable, not only of the food but the history too. She made it pleasant to dine there.
Overall the restaurant was okay. It does need to be refurbished especially the women's restroom was bad -very dated, old wall treatment, counters, stalls and floors. The chairs in the dinning room need reupholstering - the seat cushions were flat. The dinning room was very cold, the host tried to help but even after being seated at another table it was still cold. The outside also needs a little sprucing up
On a positive note the food was good and the service was a little slow but friendly. The Christmas decorations were beautiful.
Like a walk back in time
Wonderful place for a Christmas meal
The best prime rib in town if you want a real Christmas dinner
Arrived at 8:00 pm. At that time the waitresses were so worn out from working an overly long shift that they were snippy, unhelpful for the most part, didn't remember who got what dish or drink, and generally rude. No white table cloths. Too many tables crowded into the room. Worst of all, the waitress totally ruined the Yorkshire pudding by slopping a large spoon of creamed corn over it before I could stop her. Very disappointed. Gulliver's used to be a better eating establishment than this. Do they NOT know Yorkshire pudding is supposed to be seasoned with prime rib drippings (or at least au jus)? They now only pretend to be an English Pub/restaurant. We had hoped for a lovely Christmas Eve family dinner, but it didn'tdidn't turn out that way. Won't have anymore Christmas Eve dinners there.
Unfortunately we went on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was packed and despite having reservations we had to wait to be seated. The waitress was very good but the kitchen was very slow. We waited over an hour to get our food. We had to call the Manager. We did get compt. for drinks and dessert but our total time there was over 2 1/2 hours. Should have taken us no more than an hour. Food was good.
Went to Gullivers on Christmas Eve. My biggest impression was how friendly the manager and entire wait staff were. Our waitress, Sarah, was fantastic, and I saw nothing but smiles on the rest of the wait staff. Great prime rib. My daughter, who is not a prime rib fan, had salmon and loved it. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Highly recommended for a prime rib lover, especially around the holidays! Kudos to the entire staff for knowing how to run a restaurant properly!
Have enjoyed Gulliver's hundreds of times since the '70s . . . and even on Christmas Eve with all the crowds, the folks there came through again with flying colors. All the holiday decorations create a wonderful atmosphere that you have to see. The prime rib was (and always is) fabulous, the service superb. Yes, I'll be back -- again and again and again.
Gulliver's has become a tradition with our family. Even when grand children come home for holidays, this where they want to go for a special occasion.
My husband and I decided to treat ourselves before the Christmas holidays. We found this restaurant to be outstanding both in quality of food and service. The portions are quite large also. The place was festive and staff were very attentive to our needs. We highly recommend this place.
Since this place was so festive for the holidays, it might be nice to have Christmas Carolers. It is a beautiful setting!
Busy night. Very slow service; Kathryn was very busy and needed help. Ordered a NY steak and it was the fattiest ribeye ever (not even close to a good ribeye) which I ate anyway as I was so hungry. The sides (Brussel sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes) and the green beans, twice-baked potato, and carrots were very average. My GF’s filet was under-cooked and of fair quality. Wine was good. Heard complaints from others about the prime rib quality. I will not go back. Spend the extra $ for a better steak house.
Went here for an early Christmas dinner with my family. Had reservations for 7:30, did not get seated until 8:50 What’s the point of a reservation. Manager and hostess did not do anything or accommodate us in anyway. They were out of small items on the special list. Prime rib was tough and dry. The only thing good was the cream spinach and cream corn. We let the waitress know and they didn’t accommodate or compensate us in anyway either. Overall I would not go back here ever again. This used to be a great restaurant, what happened??? Please reach out to me, Odet (manager)
Annual Christmas Dinner
This was our third time to dine here and wonderful as before, we'll be back.
It was great. My mother and I both enjoyed our lunch cut prime rib.
