For more than 30 years, Gulfstream Cafe has been a sought-after spot for birthdays, anniversaries and more thanks to the picturesque waterfront view and authentic coastal cuisine. The laid-back atmosphere at this Garden City institution complements the fresh seafood and southern favorites, choice options include broiled Lobster Tail, creamy She Crab Soup and jumbo lump Crab Cakes. Head back for their seasonal Oyster Roasts or watch the sunset on the rooftop deck, all wildly popular (and Instagram-worthy).

Staff was very accommodating. View was wonderful. We were very pleased and look forward to our next visit.
Great service, great food in a casual environment. This place never disappoints.
They have the best early bird deal on the beach. This place is my favorite place.
The brunch is great. I especially like the cheese grits and fried cod. The warm cookies at the end is a very nice touch.
Food was horrible
New Years Day dinner. I had grouper and my wife had crab cakes. The fresh bread was very good. Entrees were delicious. Only complaint is the lack of a variety of sides. 2 or 3 types of potatoes and green beans. Not very imaginative. How about some other beans, squash, slaw, asparagus or broccoli?
Love this place! Beautiful sunsets, awesome staff, delicious food! She crab soup is the best ever!
New Year’s Eve dinner second year in a row. Awesome service and food always !
We eat at Gulfstream regularly so we are familiar with the restaurant. Over the year the restaurant has definitely stepped up their food quality and service. New Year’s Eve certainly was a set back as if their staff in a panic and could not handle the crowd. The service was extremely poor and our food was mediocre to say the least!
New Years eve
Last subpar experience here. Let's begin with what was right - the salad and oyster rockafellers.
There was a small select menu tonight without a lot of options that I wanted. I wanted seafood but not fried; they only offered fried and we learned quickly they don't like to customize anything.
My husband ordered a specialty margarita from their menu and asked to upgrade the tequila to Patron and the waitress returned and said they couldn't do that but he could just order a regular margarita with Patron. What?? We cant pay more for a better tequila? He gets it and it tastes watered down.
He ordered swordfish and it was so bland and flavorless as were the nearly raw green beans which is the only "seasonal" vegetable they ever offer besides three different potato options. Completely flavorless so I had to ask for salt and pepper to try and give them flavor.
I'm done with the subpar food here. It's gotten worse every time we come and I'm just done. $120 for a meal that we didn't eat most of and came home and ate a ham sandwich two hours later.
Not worth our time or money for bland overpriced food.
Great food and get there at sunset for a beautiful view.
Everything was WONDERFUL. The food, view, service, everything. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it. Their early bird specials are great!!
Very good experience, no negatives but nothing spectacular very satisfied with our trip to Gulf Stream, it met our expectations!!!
Amazing stuffed lobster tail and several was excellent!
Everything was truly perfect for us.
During our mid-afternoon dinner, we enjoyed excellent food and top notch service in a very pleasant setting. The Gulf stream Cafe remains one of our favorite restaurants.
We reserved a table for 7:30 on Christmas eve and when we arrived were pleasantly surprised to see itcwas pretty crowded. Service was spot on and the food was delicious. Only issue was the restaurant was freezing, several patrons were wearing their jackets. Otherwise an awesome dining experience!
Great food but somewhat limited menu. Service was excellent!!!
The food is always delicious, fresh and cooked to perfection. the staff are friendly and efficient.
A very good evening out. Excellent food and service.
It was a wonderful experience fir my granddaughter. The staff went all out to make it a great experience
Our favorite place!
sunset views are amazing, able to eat outdoors in December! Early bird menu was perfect.
Love this place! December 13th and we were able to sit outside! Nothing better!
This used to be our favorite restaurant, but it was very disappointing. Food was sub par, and cold. Not worth the price.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary, and the staff was gracious and hospitable. The Gulfstream Cafe is awesome!
Happy to hear!
We had Sunday brunch for four. They still allow you to serve yourself and provide gloves. Felt very safe from the virus. You can order your omelette and they make it in the kitchen. They still have a Bloody Mary station too. So nice to feel very close to normal at a restaurant!
Thank you. We do our best to adapt and stay safe.
Mystic was blaring so hard to enjoy dinner and have conversation.
We had thanksgiving dinner there after a long day of travel as we as snowbirds come to Myrtle beach for the winter. We go to the Gulfstream cafe regularly, it’s always a great meal stunning views and great service
Excellent Thanksgiving dinner! Fantastic view, and great staff.
This was our 3rd Thanksgiving dinner at Gulf Stream. Good value for the amount of food plated for the customer. I couldn't finish my dinner so boxed leftovers. We have been going to Gulf Stream for approx. 14 yrs now and have dinner there at least once a month. Started going there when we were "tourists" and continued when we became "locals" which should tell others something. The service is very good. The atmosphere is usually nice except when the music is too loud - should be background allowing people to have a conversation, not foreground as it sometimes can be. The food is very good. We have our favorites and often make it easy for the server to take our order.
Great Food for a reasonable price.
Gwendolyn was Our Waitress and gave Outstanding service. She was also very warm and personable. Will return. My Wife was glad She didn't have to cook!!
Enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner. Prompt, courteous service. Overall the food was delicious. Stuffing was a bit dry. Beautiful view of the marsh. Will definitely be back.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was great. The food came out promptly and was as good as I would have cooked myself. We will be back!
Gulfstream Cafe for Thanksgiving dinner was a very good experience, overall. We loved the setting overlooking the Inlet, the design and atmosphere are great. They served a well-designed, traditional Thanksgiving menu, service was prompt and our waitress was pleasant and attentive. It ran like a well-organized machine.
Since this was our first visit here, my husband and I agreed we'd definitely like to go back on a non-holiday to get a better sense of it. We'd like to see what the quality of food and service is like and have a relaxed meal without the feeling of eating within a time limit. Overall impression: very good. Will have to return for a regular, non-holiday meal to see whether it can be excellent.
The dinner was wonderful. We had never been there before. I saw some steaks go by that looked WOW. We will be back. Everyone was very helpful & friendly. Plate had everything we wanted for Thanksgiving.
The Gulf Stream is a must do with each beach trip. Year round the food is consistently excellent.
The music was a bit too loud for our group this time.
We were very impressed with the provisions made for the COVID restrictions. All felt safe and this led to a relaxing, enjoyable outing.
Celebrated my birthday with my wife. Loved the restaurant as soon as we arrived and was anxiously awaiting some good seafood. I love grouper but the entree had lobster cream sauce and I have shellfish allergies. The waiter never hesitated when asked if I could have the grouper without the sauce......also agreed to blacken the grouper for me. When the entree arrived I was told the chef didn’t like the way it looked without the sauce so he gave me extra grouper. The service was exceptional and the food was great. We will eat here every trip to the beach.
