The menu was very limited. We have dined there in the past and there were many more choices on the menu.
Great food but we had an 8:00 reservation and we felt like they were rushing us out!
We go to Gulfstream quite often and have never had a bad experience. I would put them in the top 2 or 3 places to dine.
Celebrating my birthday at Gulfstream Cafe. The cold seafood tower with snow crab, lobster, oysters and shrimp was amazing. Plenty for two!
Gulfstream is our go to restaurant in Garden City.
We are definitely going back to Gulfstream Cafe on our next trip. The service was excellent (Ashley was our server) and the food was amazing. My sister and I shared the crab cakes and the grouper. I have to give a slight edge to the grouper but both dishes were worth a return trip. Others in our group had the Tuna and the seafood platter. Both cleaned their plates as well.
Great food! Delicious, every bite. Only complaint was the low temperature, we were cold! Everything else was great.
Although portion sizes have decreased, still an overall, all-around quality dining experience.
Lovely setting; beautiful view. My husband snd I both had fantastic meals. Plenty of food; very delicious. The service was impeccable. Wonderful experience from start to finish.
Excellent food and wait staff. Beautiful views of sunset over the marsh. Recommend reservations as they get very crowded right before sunset. Bar service was very slow considering we were the only 2 there.
A nice place with good views. It was wicked crowded and our waitress was harried, but the food was excellent.
While the hostess in the front of the house never greets us upon entering the establishment, and they never seem happy to be there; the wait staff are the complete opposite. We are locals and dine here rather frequently. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable about all menu items. Above everything, they are always attentive.
The quality of the brunch food was fair at best. As a physician, the bloody mary bar probably not the best of ideas during this pandemic, We were celebrating a birthday and I was embarrassed by my choice for brunch. Everyone pushed a lot of food around their plate but ate minimal. I know staffing is an extreme challenge for the hospitality industry but the follow-up at table was minimal at a time when the restaurant had 6 filled tables. We are local regular diners at the restaurant for dinner and likely will not return in the future.
Great food everytime!
Love the food love the location over the view! Get the oyster shooters!!
The sunsets are fabulous, food plentiful and Steve provided good service for families and small groups it’s ideal.
I've eaten dinner there twice in the last week. The menu is small - but the meals are delicious. I had the shrimp and grits and we had the stuffed lobster. Both were excellent.
Excellent food. Dining experience was ok. Overall atmosphere was ok as well.
This was our second year in a row that we have had our anniversary dinner at your wonderful restaurant. #48, #49 and if all goes well #50 next September 17 during our vacation from our home in Pennsylvania. Gwendolyn was our waitress again and she is fantastic. Our dinner from the Peel & Eat shrimp, to the crisp salad & delicious bread loaf and topped off by the Swordfish Special for my wife and Grouper Francese for me made our evening very memorable. And the view is spectacular.
Mixed reviews. Service, ambience very good. Food so, so. Brolied fish should not be so tasteless. Whole table liked salads. I did expect more of the restaurant. It had a big crowd. Now whether they were new or old customers, it usuallly is a positive unless it is some horrid chain like a Paula Dean. My husand had the low country boil with crab legs and he was very happy. My mom said she liked her food, did not each much of it, and then rejected a take home. We are from Brooklyn so we do know a little about food and can reallly enjoy a non-perfect meal and have ordinary discriminating converation. We did have three drinks. The bill for three was shockingly low, so there you go...
Awesome night celebrating our Anniversary. Beautiful location, great food and service.
We will be back!
We have been looking for this restaurant for over five years since friends took us here earlier
Nice atmosphere and great food. The service is good, also. We went there two times in a week.
Nice location and view. Service was excellent
tables were much to close togeather for our taste!
One of our favorites each time we visit the beach. Beautiful views to match the food. Took friends this time for their first time to celebrate birthdays. They enjoyed it too!
This place is picturesque in it’s setting on the Murrells Inlet Marsh where sunsets are incredible. The food is delicious and well-portioned. The pricing is competitive with other restaurants in the area. I love eating there when I’m in the area. Definitely one of my personal favorites. Can’t go wrong when choosing the Gulfstream.
Seems to have a lot of locals since it’s a bit of a drive for them to get to MB or NMB spots. There’s better if you’re a foodie.
We had a lot of little things that made the experience less than enjoyable. 1st sat outside but our table was directly over the A/C compressor which was blowing hot air that is installed under the deck. 2nd when the salads came out they didn’t offer fresh ground pepper even though the other tables got offered. 3nd the entrees were very inconsistent. My fried seafood platter was over fried and greasy and the baked potato was undercooked with a crunchy center. The crab cakes that my mother ordered were cold and sides were also cold The blackened tuna my wife order was outstanding zero complaints there. They were good to replace the food and the seafood platter came out perfect but the crab cakes were runny on the inside (she didn’t even eat a whole one). The waitress did her best to help make things better but she was distracted with a large group she was serving. The restaurant comped part of the meal that was not eaten with even asking for a discount but I would have been nice if the manager would have came out to apologize especially after the waitress said he was coming. Not sure if it’s worth going back.
This was my fifth trip yes to golf stream. It was my first bad experience. the service was good but the food was average and cold. Our waitress was very good but the food wasn’t. Apparently there was a problem with the warming ovens. I do plan to go back but was disappointed because I had recommend to go there for a special event.
Janelle was our excellent server. Low country boil and grouper excellent. We were seated promptly.
Very bad experience
Cocktails Sunset and delicious dinner!
Beautiful setting with delicious food. Will definitely eat here again.
I was on a road trip with friends and had a list of places I could potentially eat, since I have celiac disease and need to eat gluten free. We were able to get a reservation without any problem and were seated inside but next to a window. The view was fantastic, but the food was even better!!! I had crab cakes, and they were without a doubt the best I've ever had. My friends raved about their food, too. The potatoes and green beans were absolutely delicious.
I can't say enough about this place. Not only is the food out of this world, it is safe for those of us with celiac. Everything was perfection. I am so grateful that this place is careful, and that they take gluten free seriously. Highly, highly recommended!
Gulfstream Cafe is always a staple when we visit Myrtle Beach. The Sunsets off their back deck is the best around. The food is always very good. I miss a few items the had on the menu prepandemic, but maybe they will go back to that again. I had the steak medallions and shrimp which was very good and filling. My husband had the grouper which he enjoyed. Even though we were very full, the chocolate cake was calling for us to order. We did, and it was amazing!
They have put twice as many tables into the restaurant than before Covid, which does not feel safe. Also, we noticed most of the servers had their masks either under their noses or under their mouths, and the ones we could see in the kitchen were the same. Not sure how this keeps the customers safe. The food was good, but not good enough to overcome the safety issues.
Amazing. We love Gulf Stream and dine there each time we are in town. Food is out staying and early bird special is such a great value. The service is excellent and view is unbeatable
