View food and service all great! They were training new staff to keep up with demand and getting ready for summer season. Very smooth.
Good food. We sat outside but had to move in as it was brisk with the wind. The food and service were very good & we would return here the next time we're in Myrtle beach.
The Oyster Shooters, blackened tuna dinner was cooked to perfection and the wine was outstanding. Very attentive waitstaff and was very gracious. Best anniversary dinner with n a long time.
This place is always amazing from the excellent management, staff and service to the incredible food, second to none ambiance, views and sunsets! Always a wonderful time!
A very pleasant surprise for us!!!
Great food great service.
We love the Murrells Inlet location and spectacular views this restaurant offers. The service was friendly and attentive. It was not peak season so it was a pretty quiet dining room. The food was fresh and very tasty. The shrimp & grits are highly recommended.
Wonderful anniversary date for my wife and I. This has always been a special place for us!
Gorgeous inside and out with amazing views. The breakfast buffet was varied and tasty, with something for everyone, breakfast, lunch or both. Great value for the food and experience. We had to wait a little while longer for alcoholic beverages, due to short staffing noticed at every restaurant in our area, but we didn't mind that. I gave four stars to service instead of five only because with three girls working the hostess stand beside the buffet, none of them noticed the buffet ran out of plates, and I had to tell them. Everything else was great, I just feel like those three need to know there really wasn't any excuse for their not paying attention.
It was really impossible in the space to keep a six foot distance, but I felt like having patrons wear masks while away from table and providing gloves and sanitizer at the buffet was enough to keep everyone safe.
The only advise I would give is to communicate that for brunch that the crab meat added to an omelet cost additional. When I called about the menu selection for brunch, I was led to believe all omelettes were the same price. ( I was not told any different). That was kind of disheartening when I went to actually tell the waitress what I wanted and then she told me it would be an extra charge. Not good.
Great food and service will definitely be back.
Was seated promptly at my reservation time, restaurant was busy. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was incredible. The she crab soup and crab cakes are a must!
This was our second visit the first being on Christmas day , the service and food in amazing. There was a large retirement party our server apologized for noise but I think after 30 years they deserved to make some noise .The staff is so knowledgeable about the area . By far best restaurant in the Surfside Beach area
Food was excellent
Great view, good food, waitress was exceptional. Hard to get a reservation since they are so popular. But once we got there, they took care of us.
Gwendolyn was our waitress and she does an awesome job! Thank you for an enjoyable evening...
I don’t even leave reviews but damn this place was fire! Will be back for sure.
Recently moved to Surfside and have been looking for that “Perfect Place” to take guests when visiting. Gulf Stream cafe is the place. The atmosphere, food, service and views were outstanding!! We tried most of the restaurant in Murrells Inlet, which were all great, but wanted that quieter place with all the same views. Would highly recommend Gulf Stream Cafe and will be returning with or without guests.
Always visit here every beach trip
Simply understaffed. Reservation apparently meant nothing as we waited and waited. Finally seated. Ordered a bottle of wine which didn't arrive until after the appetizers. Fortunately the appetizers were finger food because table setting didn't arrive until the entres. Food was good and the waitress was friendly and tried hard but was spead waaaay too thin. We won't be back until we see some reviews that indicate their service issues have been addressed.
Early in season and I think they may have been a bit overwhelmed. Service was crazy slow and food was just ok. May try again but we’ll see.
Beautiful spot, very scenic and great ambience. We had a 7 pm reservation, and got right in. From there it went downhill. Our server had way too many tables to manage, the kitchen was slow, and they were out of many items. It took 2.5 hours to get through our meal, we never got our desserts, and the steak was cold. The fried platters and she-crab soup were delicious, but not worth the time.
Limited menu. Average service. Average food. Nice venue.
Gulfstream is my favorite place to eat when I come down. It never disappoints!

Food was delicious. We ordered from the early Lite Fare menu around 5:15 pm. Masks required. Tables spaced accordingly for social distances. Service was good.
30 minutes to get water, 1:30 to receive food.
Drinks made very week.
Beautiful location, sat outside. Our waitress was wonderful, (even took some pics, even though she was busy) The she-crab soup was excellent. The food was okay. The crab cakes were very salty
All was good but it was a bit cold...at least at our table and it was also very dark at our table. It seemed to be worse at our table than others.
Went for Easter dinner with my family of six. Had a reservation but the table wasn’t ready for 15 min or so. That was fine but it was pretty crowded considering the pandemic so the only safe place to wait was outdoors and it was quite chilly. Social distancing was not enforced. The place is beautiful although we had a seat facing the street which was probably due to the size of our table. The food was average. For the price and the great reviews, I had much higher expectations. I had the broiled Mahi-mahi which was good but not great. The she-crab soup was delicious but could have used more sherry in my opinion. The green beans were undercooked. Honestly, the best of my dinner was the salt crusted baked potato.
Everything was delicious. Simple menu but the food is sooo good.
We attended the Easter brunch buffet and our time slot was close to the end. Although they assured me food would be fresh, it was definitely the dregs. Server was attentive but it seemed like they were in a rush to turn over to the regular service.
Myself and my two teenage daughters Loved everything we ordered. We all had plenty to take home for another meal.
Made a reservation for Easter dinner because we were unable to get a time for the brunch. Other than the hostess experience, seemed bothered and we had to wait for an extended amount of time without even being spoken to. The server experience, food and view all made up for our experience. Loved the peel and eat shrimp and the flounder was the best we’ve had. Pricey but worth it!
My friend and I shared Easter dinner here. It was the first time for both of us. The menu was limited to just a handful of entree options, but the food was amazing. The service, however, left much to be desired. Our waitress, Gwendolyn, was rude, condescending and extremely inappropriate. All four of my children are or have been in the service industry and I would be horrified if they ever spoke to their customers in the way she spoke to us.

I will not be back. A gorgeous view does not give free license to poor service. We literally had to get our drinks ourselves. We have had this waiter once before. He is always full of excuses. Brought us the wrong salads,
too. Extremely unattentive and forgetful. This time he blamed it on a "MIA coworker". Too bad. The food is good and the place has great ambience.
Very noisy. On top of being noisy they had awful music playing in the background. It made it hard to carry a conversation. The next time I go, and I will go again because the food was excellent, I will sit outside
Food and service were outstanding!!
Food was outstanding. The best tasting grouper I have ever had. Service was excellent. We went Easter Sunday and was extremely busy. Only complaint would be extremely noisy but food and service made up for the noise.
The view is spectacular but the food and service left a lot to be desired. The buffet table was not tended to at all. Most of the serving dishes were empty when I was in line. I spoke to two servers and they said nothing...after holding up the line I went to the table. What was there was good, but the food wasn't hot.
Unique and scenic location with marsh views. Excellent, timely service for our party of 4 adults. Good variety of dinner items and they had several gluten free choices marked clearly on the menu. Quality of food was very good, our group had fried seafood, baked seafood and a pasta special. Recommend this place to anyone, good atmosphere for couples, families and adult groups.
We went for brunch and it was awesome
Service was excellent
The view was amazing
