She Crab Soup & Salad
A rich and creamy Charleston classic in a fresh bread bowl with a side salad.
linguine, marinara, mussels, scallops, shrimp and fresh fish.
crispy grouper, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies
Great atmosphere with a beautiful view of Murrells Inlet. Excellent service and delicious food. Topped off with 7 layer warm chocolate cake, perfect!
Food is outstanding along with the views of the Marsh paired with attentive service and ambiance. It’s a lovely dining experience.
Good food, good service, and nice view, at a reasonable price.
It was my birthday dinner with my husband, daughter & 2 grandsons
I always love the 1/2 roasted chicken, never disappoints. The seafood pasta was tasty and plentiful. Love The Federalist Cabernet, the cheesecake was so creamy and light & the apple cinnamon cake was out of this world.
Gulfstream always provides excellent service and food. Scallops & shrimp were great. Our table was in a little darker area of the dining room & it was hard to read the menu. One in our party felt portions were a little small for the prices. I’ve always wondered why a salad was not included in meals after the early bird special time is over. A salad is included in the early bird meals. Just wonderin’? Love the place!
Sunday afternoon here before Brookgreen was an excellent choice. All meals were exactly as ordered, service was well above expectations.
Yummy. Just very dark inside.
Great place to watch, very good service and food.
Was good overall. Good service and tasty food. The restaurant was too dark and several people were heard saying they couldn’t read the menu or see their food very well.
Food and service was amazing! I had the whole fried snapper, it was the best thing I have ever had.
Absolutely, wonderful experience. A must go to especially with guests.
Gulfstream is a perennial favorite! They never fail to prove why they are one of our favorite restaurants on the south strand. Great food, great atmosphere and great views!
A couple of issues pulled down my overall rating; Waitress made an error in our order and had to get kitchen to stop preparation, then she charged us for items we did not order and had to correct our bill by about $50.00. Her attitude was somewhat "grumpy". Music was on the loud side and really unusual selection of tunes, none of which we recognized - not a good "background" dinner selection.
Food was very good and prices were reasonable.
Excellent food. Gorgeous natural wood interior. Vegetarian options. Music was a little loud.
The complete dining experience was exceptional. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
The best place to enjoy a night of great food and service. This place is exceptional.
Our Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful. Tasted like home made - we loved it.
Being Thanksgiving, it probably was hard to please the masses. The food was tasty but lukewarm, hush puppies were so hard, one could use as a golf ball! and the cornbread muffins were stone cold. I must commend the staff for their work ethics and keeping all happy. Would I return, not for Thanksgiving, but would certainly give this restaurant another chance on the regular menu.
We go to Gulf Stream guide often and the Thanksgiving dinner yesterday was wonderful 👏
My family dined at The Gulfstream for Thanksgiving. It was awesome! Had reservation for 3:30 and we were seated immediately when we arrived. Four of us ordered the traditional thanksgiving meal. Turkey was moist, ham was tasty, mashed potatoes were whipped with little potato pieces, yam casserole was excellent with pecans, stuffing was moist and green beans and carrots finished the platter. Cranberry sauce and gravy were on the side. Pumpkin muffins were also served. One person ordered tuna steak and it was huge. He said it was the best tuna he ever had.
Our family has been going to The Gulfstream the last 4 years (missed last year due to Covid) it never disappoints.
We enjoyed our family Thanksgiving Day meal at Gulfstream Cafe. We were met by a friendly hostess who seated us with a beautiful window view promptly. Our dinner of tender, moist turkey, delicious ham, sweet potato, mashed real potatoes, green beans and carrots, gravy, cranberry sauce, and a choice of a pie (pecan or pumpkin). The meal was very good. Neither of the desserts were very good of which we were completely surprised & disappointed. Also, there was no ice cream or whipped topping for the pie—we asked. We are glad we ate there and enjoy the restaurant in general for special occasions.
The traditional Thanksgiving feast was quite tasty, served promptly and a good alternative to cooking all day. The pecan pie needed work as bit was a bit dry. Overall, a very pleasant holiday experience!
Went for Thanksgiving. Food was great and service was excellent and fast. View can’t be beat.
Thanksgiving meal. Turkey tasted funny. Dressing was dried out.
Decent food, wonderful view!
Even green beans were improvement over rubber green beans served in meals we have eaten there. Portions were just right and dressing, turkey, and ham were outstanding. We eat here 5-6 times a year and other than green beans our family really enjoys eating at GSC.
My husband and I love Gulfstream Cafe. When in town, we always eat at Gulfstream. The food is great, the atmosphere is calming, and the views over the inlet are breathtaking. The staff is always so kind and accommodating.
I made reservation under it was our Anniversary, no one said happy anniversary & they tired to sit us down stairs in the middle of people . I had to ask if we could go check out the upstairs, then we found a quiet table. why ask if it is a special occasion?
The food was OK- not a WOW. The music was too loud for us. The service was excellent!
Great restaurant but the music was blaring. I asked the on-duty manager if she could turn it down & she said she was not permitted by management to do that. What??? This is a fine dining establishment & the waiter was yelling over the music! Pop music blaring at 5:00 pm ruined our special occasion!
I would have preferred not to be put by the kitchen door but we were still able to see the sunset. Our waitress forgot our some of our drinks & cleared our plates assuming we were finished but we didn’t complain since we were going home for cake.
First, if she is there on the day you visit: ask to be seated in Kim's section. She was fantastic!
(1) Best she-crab soup you can find, although this time it was quite shelly. Especially, my wife found a shell piece in every bite. In fairness, other times we didn't find any.
(2) Price was worth the Great seafood. Ours was cooked to perfection!! Do wish they used more local seafood other than just the fish.
(3) Chilled salad and warmed dinner plates were a nice touch.
(4) I think the noise level would have much lower if the guy at the table next to us wasn't such a loud talker and never gave it a break, don't know if he even took a bite of his dinner.
All said, a very pleasant experience and we'll be back.
Great view. Great service. Great food. Great experience.
Have eaten there quite a few times. Tonight the meal for me was a little off. I ordered my steak rare to medium and it was medium to well. No big deal, every one has an off night
Buffets are marginal at times. Most of the food in the serving dishes were lukewarm and some dishes were empty.
The music outside was obnoxiously loud, the waitress polite and attentive though rushed. Inside general noise was very loud, no attempt at sound reduction. The food was fair, eggs tasteless, toast soft and doughy. Salad tasted like last nights. Maybe better to order off menu rather than the buffet. The view saved the visit. But will think again before returning .
This is by far the best brunch spot at the beach. Best food, best view, best service! And they have tons of gluten-free friendly options. I highly recommend!
The food is good. Same brunch options every week no variations.
After dinner we wanted a drink at the upstairs bar.
They were more interested in cleaning up so they could close.AT 8 oclock on a Sat night. Boxes on the bar and Strong chemicals washing the floor. We had to leave
The sunset view is one of the best in the whole world! Stunning! Food delicious too!
