Guiso Latin Fusion
Most personable and friendly waitstaff and chef ever.
Everything was beyond excellent. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. All we did was ask Siri for the best restaurant around and she answered with Guiso’s. For once, she was right. 😊
Guiso Latin Fusion is a wonderful addition to the Healdsburg restaurant list. The food is superb and so is service. It is a family run restaurant and treats the guests as Family. I highly recommend the Fish Tacos, Halibut and Paella. You are in for a surprise and a treat if you love Paella.
Just a fabulous meal! Our server was fantastic - she told us the story of Grandma’s sauce, and the origin of the name of the restaurant. Highlights were the fish tacos, the pupusa, and the sliders. It’s a very tiny space, only 7 tables so reservations are a must! Kudos to the chef!
We've been to Guiso many times over the past few years and this last time I was a bit disappointed with part of our meal...Ribeye was now on the menu and it was good but not great, just a little overseasoned...One of us had fish and it was a little dry and the complimentary seasoning wasn't the best..The salads were outstanding and all the veggies were garden fresh...The service was exceptional.
The chef /owner was not there and had two young chefs preparing the food and so I wonder if that had anything to do with things being not quite up to their usual five star level...I would also encourage the chef to go back and look at some of his earlier menus and maybe bring back some of the amazing dishes that hooked us on Guiso right after it first opened...
Fabulous!!! The must go to place for a great experience🤓
A young, innovative chef and old family recipes combine to make this a must visit Healdsburg eatery. We had several of the small plates and they were all delicious. We finished with paella which was also fabulous. Drunken shrimp and the corn were favorites, but everything we ate had a unique flavor blend that was outstanding.
RUN DON'T WALK! The food is outstanding the folks are genuine and lovely. A real gem in Healdsburg.
Guiso’s just keeps getting better, which seems impossible. This time it was new flavors on tried and true dishes and the paella was AMAZING (Not your typical style!). Love love love this place!
Outstanding in every way.
Had an amazing dinner. The food and service were exceptional. I thought I knew good Pupusas, but the Blue Corn Pupusas we’re better than anything I’ve tried before. The rest of the meal was just as good. Service was polite, and attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely be back next time the wife and I are in Healdsburg.
Small venue but huge in flavor and service. A must.
Be sure to order dessert!
An out of state dear friend and our adult son and his parents had a fabulous dinner tonight! Steak, prawns, sliders and fish tacos: all cooked to perfection in a small and intimate space with the cooks and server welcoming , professional and charming. Don’t tell anyone else how wonderful this is because we want to go there too!
The food was delicious. Never had Latin food before . Loved the house made sauces. Tried Four Sam all plates, perfect for dinner for 2.
Can’t wait to go again
Birthday celebration. Nice atmosphere. Excellent as always. Extremely knowledgeable and good wait staff. Will return soon.
This family restaurant operates with so much professionalism it puts the others to shame.
Small, intimate dining area with the ultimate open kitchen as Chef Carlis works his magic from family secrets. Don’t miss the ‘quesadilla’ desert - it’s not what you think and it’s great!
Food and service were amazing. Black Cod tacos, Camarrones, Paella, all are must try.
The food was excellent and the staff friendly, but the kitchen is slow. I suspect this is because each dish takes time to prepare and the kitchen staff wants the food to be prepared right, not rushed. Expect to spend up to 2 hours at the restaurant.
Every single part of this meal was incredible. The food is inspired, speaks of its history and traditions, and is perfectly executed by chef Carlos. A family-run operation, warm and hospitable. If you dine in Healdsburg and Guiso isn’t on your list, you are missing out!
Everything simply clicks at this family-run restaurant! Our third visit was the best yet with remarkably tasty food and charming service. The new selection of small plates makes for a pleasing alternative to traditional dining and great variety.
Book ahead and dont miss out on this special dining opportunity.
The meal was outstanding, as usual. The only problem was the noise level, which started at a low level at 5:00 and became unbearable after 5:30 or so.
Always a great relaxing experience and outstanding food
Been on our list to make our first visit for a few months, now having been their, wish we had not taken so long! We wanted to get the full experience on our first visit, so rather than order an entree, we ordered 6 of the small plates and not a single one was disappointing. Service was great, the intimate setting and atmosphere fabulous. We definitely will return!!
If you’re ever in Healdsburg and you’re a foodie this place is for you. Book early space is intimate
Our East Coast foodie friends were in town and had not been to Guiso’s yet. They LOVED the combination of flavors, the quaintness of the restaurant and admired our lovely server Valerie. This small gem is consistently fabulous. You won’t be disappointed.
Great food experience
Guiso is our favorite place in H’burg. Such flavorful food and cozy/friendly environment. Keep up the great work!
Absolutely amazing. Family owned and operated.
The food was very creative but I can't say this was the best meal ever. We started with two appetizers and finished with the Paella. The Sliders were good but not awesome the Paella was very flavorful but the chicken pieces were very tough. The tables are very close together and there was a table for two next to us and a table for 6 next to them. The table for 6 was extremely noisy but I can't blame that on the restaurant but it does detract from the meal.
In San Francisco for a week and then Sonoma for 2 days and NAPA for 2 days - we ate in many fine restaurants - this meal was hands down the best! Great service. Delicious food - the flavors were amazing! If we lived in this area we would be back every week!!
Always a nice meal & nice wines. I was smart and booked my reservation 2 weeks in advance. I had the fresh fish of the day, mahi mahi and it was awesome. Also started with momma’s papusas and green, fresh fresh salad. Can always count on freshness and lots of flavors. Come here when you’re tired of eating out cuz everything tastes the same!
Carlos and his crew rock it!!!!!!
Great night and great service tho we arrived before reservation time we had to wait for our table>15 min
Well worth the wait for a great meal n wonderful server!
Our dinner at Guiso Latin Fusion was a fantastic experience from start to finish. It is a tiny restaurant with very few tables, but it feels like sitting in someone's house watching them cook.
The food was incredible, especially the fish tacos. The four of us shared most of the appetizers and many of the entrees. All of it was delicious -- including the shrimp with potatoes and the rolls with Meyer lemon olive oil.
The staff was incredible. They treated us like family and the chef and owner was cordial and friendly.
If there was any criticism, the wine list was so so. Since you are in wine country, you expect better selections, but it wasn't bad.
Would go back there in a heartbeat.
Absolutely delicious meal! We were four people, ordered 8 starters to share and that made our dinner. The sauces were flavorful without being spicy hot, presentations were lovely, and there was a variety of choices. Service was delightful, efficient and friendly. It was a Friday night (two of us were celebrating a birthday that day) so the small space was packed with happy diners and very noisy. I will definitely go back, though might aim for a Tuesday or Wednesday. Highly recommended!
Great service, food was all very flavorful and well presented, and we loved the intimate setting.
My dinner at Guiso was exceptional. Guiso is a family owned and managed restaurant. The cuisine and service is delivered with pride and passion. The Chef is the owner and is delightful sister is the hostess and server. The flavors were amazing and each course was indeed a fusion of Latin and California dishes.
