We make a point to have dinner here whenever we are in the Palm Springs Palm desert area. Excellent service, authentic food and the Margaritas. We always get the Mazatlán salad to start.

Great local find

The food, margaritas and the service are all a cut above most Mexican restaurants. Fine dining, for sure.

Delicious, fresh, authentic Mexican food. Ambiance is warm and comfortable-like dining in a friend’s lovely home. Food is gourmet and excellent. A true neighborhood gem.

Got a last min reservations as everything was packed on a Saturday during the holidays. Had chicken fajitas that had zero seasoning and didn't taste like they were from an authentic Mexican restaurant. More like what you would expect from an Applebees.

First time in the area - Guillermo’s came highly recommended by friends and didn’t disappoint! Great margaritas, fabulous, fresh food ( the Serrano homemade hot sauce was divine) and very efficient and friendly servers made for a very enjoyable experience.

We had an excellent traditional Mexican meal with natural and fresh ingrediants. The owner personally visited the table and spent a few minutes telling us the history of the restaurant. Well worth a visit!

As we told the owner as we were leaving, this is a special place. The food is the best Mexican food that I have had outside of Mexico City in quite a few years. I am sure this is the best Mexican restaurant in the Coachella Valley. It is a family operation and they do a great job. We got a bonus being able to listen to a gentleman playing some lovely Spanish guitar music. I look forward to our next visit.

We always enjoy our visits to Guillermo's. It has a real family-owned and operated feel. Everyone is so friendly. The menu is unique compared to other Mexican restaurants that we have visited. with some really interesting and tasty dishes. Fresh made guacamole is tasty and there are several versions of the queso. Margaritas come in several varieties in attractive glassware.

Guillermo's is a dependable place for upscale Mexican cuisine. The Diablo sauce is delicious, especially on the filet tips, but also on shrimp, chicken or fish. Service is friendly and helpful. The talented guitarist is an added bonus to the evening.

I have been serval times and this is one of my favorites. Great food and service
Killer Margaritas ( although a little too sweet ...tell them and they will make it with more lime)

The place is very clean and lively with sports on tv at the bar

Guillermo is so friendly and always comes out to speak

We sat outside and the resturant was very full inside and out. The last few times we have eaten there has not been good service. We have to ask for water , chips and salsa at least three times.
Also annoying was a girl that came in selling chocolate bars going around to every table.!! She
and her sister were going all over that resturant bothering the customers. Not very professional to be annoyed by children selling candy!
They should be more attentive to their customers
and to peddlers annoying their customers.

Guillermo's is not your average neighborhood Tex-Mex spot. The menu is impressive and goes well beyond the typical burritos, enchiladas and tacos drawn from a common pot that we so often find. My wife's Fajitas were outstanding and the Molcajete was the best I've ever had. Service was prompt and friendly.

The food is unusual but not, at least to me, interesting. The squash side was under-cooked. The shrimp wrapped with bacon in a spiral was tough and salty. Plenty of duct tape on the booth cushions did not add to the ambiance.

Guillermo's is DELICIOUS! Don’t go here thinking you are going to get your “standard” Mexican food. I describe Guillermo’s to my friends as “gourmet” Mexican food. Their food is almost delicate in the seasonings. Nothing is over-powering, none of the tastes are hidden. I even love their mixed vegetables! My favorite meal is the periquitos stuffed with shrimp appetizer (sometimes hot, but always really tasty) followed by the rib dinner. Yes, I said “ribs” in a Mexican restaurant. So good!
