The food was outstanding! Everything was prepared with such elegance! We ordered oysters, beef tartar, and octopus to start! Each dish has its own unique flavors that kept you wanting more! Fillets for the main course were cooked to order- perfect centers! We were celebrating our anniversary and the desert plates had a special note us. :) We can’t wait to come back next time we visit Denver to try more of the menu!
Excellent food and a reflection of the growth in quality of the Denver restaurant scene as a whole. I'm so burned out of ampersand restaurant names (&) but this one is not to be missed. The food is very well executed, it's a cool space and the service is good (could slightly better to really match the food though). That said, it's not a cheap dinner by any means so you should expect it to be good considering the cost out the door. I will return!
Great meal of Hamachi appetizer, waygu beef and black cod. Black cod continues to be one of the best items on the menu. Make sure to get a half order of the Brussel sprouts, it's huge.
It was a graduation celebration and everything we ordered was excellently prepared. We definitely revisit in the future.
We had been to this restaurant before and we found that the food was much better. This time, the noise level was so high that we could not even hear the people at our own table. The prime rib had such a heavy rub in it that it ruined the taste. The strip sirloin was really tough and the filet mignon was nothing special. There is not much variety on the sides. We ordered French fries and other sides but the French fry order was much smaller than the other sides. The blue wedge was very good.
The service was good but the noise level made the party a disaster because no one could interact in any meaningful way with each other. I would not return here and definitely can not recommend this restaurant.
Had a birthday dinner, our server, Daniel, was exceptional. His recommendations were spot on. The octopus appetizer was fantastic, our salads were delicious. My husband had the salmon, I had a grass fed filet, both cooked perfectly. The Brussels sprout side was great and my hubby doesn’t like them, but ate them all. We will definitely return when we are back in Denver.
So let me just say this my fifth trip to g&g really let me down. I like this restaurant and began going to it on business trips over the last couple of years. Whenever I'm in Denver I try to make sure to stop in as it has been an amazing experience in the past.
This trip was remarkable as well but for the wrong reasons. There were four of us and my friend and I ordered the ribeye 22 oz bone in ($70). We asked for it to be medium. Our server told us it would have a hot pink center. Which we understood as we've ordered literally hundreds of medium steaks before.
The steak comes pre cut as this is easier when sharing a steak with someone else. I immediately notice it's not pink but more purple. I attribute this to both the lack of light and possibly the two drinks I've had (old fashioned made well).
After taking a bite I let my friend have a few bites before asking her thoughts. She agrees we got a rare cooked steak. The difference is vast between what was ordered and what we got so we asked our waitress to take it back. There must have been some misunderstanding as she had it refired. Unfortunately when ordering any steak above $50 in any restaurant I do not eat pre sliced refired steak unless it needs just a bit of heat (it's cold) not to recook the damn thing.
They bring out the original steak with the two pieces we originally took out missing and expect us to go on our merry way?
At this point I asked for the manager. I tried some no of this, while my table is shocked at what happened. Now I'm feeling embarrassed and telling them this isn't the way they usually do it.
The manager eventually comes over and asks if we want another steak. At this point I'm pretty embarrassed and upset and want to get the hell out of here as my friends have all finished their food. No mention of cooking a new steak at no charge is offered. I'm sure they trick people with that bait and switch but I'm not here to be played with. Overall terrible experience.
Incredible as always. All steaks were perfect, the pairings were awesome, and the atmosphere was electric.
Ben and everyone at Guard & Grace were wonderful. Food was delicious!!!
Guard & Grace is well-deserving of a five-star review. I was in town for two concerts this past weekend, and I asked locals to recommend the best steakhouse in the area. Everyone said Guard & Grace, and they weren't wrong. I LOVED the Filet Mignon Flight, and the Truffled Gnocchi, and their Caesar Salad, which had a unique twist. The atmosphere is sexy and swanky, but feel free to dress up or down. The servers and staff are super friendly and are some of the best of the best at what they do. I can tell that Chef guard, the owner, has set high expectations - but he has some amazing employees that strive to exceed those expectations, as they word hard to earn every star of their five star rating.
I have zero complaints; Guard & Grace is worth every penny for a nice steak in Denver.
Amazing food, service and attention to detail. Highly recommend to everyone!
As usual, it was perfect, and my birthday card was special. thank you Guard & Grace. We'll be back!!!
Delicious food, steak was cooked perfectly. Music was very weird for a Sunday night - house/clubby music.
Cod was too fishy, steak seasoned a little too much and there were enough brussel sprouts to choke a horse as an appetizer. Not enough variety in the menu. Nice place but I have had better.
It's perfect. They make it seem so easy but for some reason most places can't execute it. Guard and Grace does
Food was awesome! Can’t wait for our next visit.
always a great place to dine. The food and staff are top notch!
Everything about our visit was fantastic! Our new favorite restaurant in Denver. Highly recommend!
Outstanding food, excellent and knowledgeable service.
Professional and knowledgeable team, large portions and delicious food. This was great for the business meeting we had.
Guard and Grace combines comfortable ambiance with a touch modern decor. The wait staff is attentive but also courteous and professional. Not overbearing but waiting just off your shoulder to serve you dining needs. This along with excellent food. such as a crab cake that is actually crab not filler masquerading as crab. Definitely an excellent place to enjoy a meal.
This was the best birthday treat for my husband- he was so happy to have steak, oysters, and amazing cocktails. Our food was incredible but the outstanding service is what really made this meal special. We received great recommendations and special attention despite how busy it was (even on a Sunday night).
Always a favorite. The service and food never miss
Phenomenal...definitely a keeper
Great lunch! The service was professional, engaging, and understood the balance to create an excellent dining experience for me and my business associate. The food was outstanding. The flavors were well balanced, and both the cod and the steaks were perfectly executed. The wine list is diverse and well price. We loved our Sauvignon Blanc from Long Meadow Ranch. That little cookie at the end was such a nice touch.
Everything was perfect!
Phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town.
Guard and grace never disappoints. It was a bit loud, but otherwise the food and wine was amazing.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday and it was amazing! Conrad is outstanding and Don (The Suit) was funny and charming. We both enjoyed the experience! Thanks.
Our waiter Hoyt was awesome, definitely made it a great evening!
I took my husband out for his birthday at G&G and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing and service was extraordinary - everyone was so friendly and made us feel very special. We ordered the dry aged bone-in NY strip steak and the bone-in rib eye which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. And compliments to the chef, we got a potato croquette, couple mocktails, and even the sticky toffee cake was on the house. Our waiter recommended the sticky toffee cake and so glad we ordered it because it was the best tasting dessert we ever had.
Took my wife for her birthday. Seated promptly, great table. Server was cheerful and very knowledgeable. Super professional service! Fourth visit for us and it did not disappoint. Food was great as always. Really nice to know you are going to have a consistent dining experience.
Started out with a reservation on the inside, but the music and noise is just too loud to have a good business conversation. We opted to move outside to the patio. It was a beautiful evening.
The only problem with that area is service seems to be much slower. While the wait staff is excellent, we waited unusually long times in between courses. Between the salad and dinner was nearly an hour wait.
Great food and service!
Don't fool around- get the dry aged ribeye. Excellent food, great service. A little noisy, we were there on a Tuesday evening and the place was jamming.
The food was excellent and we had wonderful service! Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved our meal here! The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. There was a birthday card waiting at the table with employee handwritten notes. Not your standard "happy birthday, have a great day" they added their own spunk to it and it was a great touch!
Came here for our 6 year anniversary, and the food was AMAZING!! They had a wonderful list of wines/champagne, and one of the best steaks I’ve had to date!! Ordered a nice bottle of champagne and our waiter brought our complimentary appetizers to pair with the Dom. Would recommend this to everyone! Thanks for the amazing dinner<3
Nicole & Connor made our evening very special. Thank you!
