We were the only diners in the restaurant when we arrived yet our waiter acted like we were annoying him when we asked for something, he was impatient and always running away from the table. The chili rellenos were terrible, the batter was very thick and heavy. The hominy in the menudo needed more cooking. The decor was beautiful.

It took an hour for us to be seated and after that when we were seated it took almost 2 hours for us to get our food not to mention the time it took them to take the order in the first place we arrived at 7:00 pm and left almost at 11:00 pm and it only took us about 20 minutes to eat so the wait times were ridiculous

Food was good... the tableside freshly made salsa and guacamole was excellent! The service was substandard. It seemed that our waiter did the bare minimum for our table. We were seated for a long time before we were even waited on. He took our order, but never checked in to see how we were doing... whether our food was satisfactory or as expected, and NEVER refilled any beverages. It doesn't seem that difficult to see that beverages are empty or getting low, and that is one thing that is important to me in a server. Past visits to Guadalajara Grill have been better though and I would probably give it another visit.

Our overall experience was ruined by the service. Whilst we appreciated that the restaurant was busy, the waiter for our section came past our empty table many times, menus closed and waiting to order, for more than 20 minutes. We finally flagged down another waiter who had just brought out some food for a table of 8 near us, and he took our order. Once the order was taken the food arrived really quickly. The quantities were generous and tasty.

The service was not good. - No refills on drinks - We had to ask for eating utensils and plates for appetizers - Plates were dirty - I have a food allergy and my server assured me there was no seasoning except salt and pepper on my meal. This was incorrect. They did correct it. We took visiting family there, hoping for an authentic experience, and were disappointed. In addition, there were young women in the restaurant vaping and not appropriately dressed for a family restaurant. They had clearly come from a pool and were wearing thong bottoms with see-through coverups.

They apparently don’t honor their reservations thru you -when you get there they tell you you have to wait 20 minutes. they make you sign into a waitlist which they do to even people just walking in off the street it’s no different Then they seat you in an area where it takes a long time for someone to wait on you and all the tables are open. When you ask the waiter he says once you order it’ll be at least 30 if not 40 minutes. After driving a half an hour and already waiting we decided to leave. The last two times we’ve eaten there which was two years ago the service was bad and the food had changed but we wanted to give it another try. Obviously there’s some big failure with their system

Would not accept our reservation we made through Open Table. Said we had to wait another 30 minutes, then after 30 minutes said it would be another 30 minutes and told us we could go to another location if we didn't want to wait. Then we had a wait after being seated to get any service. After this it was fine but already ruined out night by this point.

Service was great. Didn't see any of the staff wearing masks so if that is important to you, you may want to go here. I had the chimichanga & it really was not fried hard enough for me. Despite this the food was good. It was really lively & loud in the dining area. The beer available was not to our liking so we just had water. The lady who makes salsa at our table was really good at accommodating our request for no heat in the salsa. The salsa was good. This was a nice restaurant to celebrate. We were celebrating our Anniversary & my birthday.

This grill was not what I expected. I have visited many of Guadalajara's establishments in Tucson. The one on Broadway was not very friendly, asked for napkins and a few other small items and was ignored. We had to ask more than 2 times for these items. The employees were a bit rude and would not look at you when you needed help. I will not be returning to the Broadway location. I have to give the prince and mountain location a triple 5 star.

Waiter recommended the large platter (Huapanga?) to share for the 3 of us. Way too much food, but still probably didn't spend any more that we would have for 3 separate dinners together. Food tasted quite salty to me (not to my husband or son). Tableside salsa was fun and great tasting. Beef and chicken on the platter were dry, but our visiting mid-Atlantic son enjoyed the experience of it all. Probably won't go back ourselves, though.

I have eaten at Guadalajara Grill several times with mostly good experiences. This visit was not. The food overall was not good. Chicken enchilada tasted like out of a can. Friolies where lumpy and dry. Lobster enchiladas were a big disappointment, tiny slivers of lobster. Meals came late. Margarita's tasted watered down. I gave 3 stars because our waiter was outstanding.

The food was good but our group of 6 was seated 20 minutes after our reservation and didn't get our food until an hour after we were seated. In the end our reservation was at 730 but we didn't get our food til 855. At least the food was good but not sure it was worth the wait. It was cool that the salsa was made at the table but we only had one bowl chips the entire hour we were waiting.

So, I’ve marked their food as a 1, but don’t actually know how their food tastes. The menu looked pretty great and I’d had several recommendations to try the place, but gave up my dining experience after the server and her trainee made no attempt to serve me. I sat there for about 20-25, and got as far as water and chips. I was one of maybe 10/12 tables in the restaurant and was only one person of three at the bar area. It wasn’t busy enough to not get service. And in addition to just being looked at and not being given any service, the two people behind the bar checked in multiple times with the other people sitting there. They seemed to know each other. On top of the lack of service, there seemed to be massive confusion with the hostess and two other people up at the front and trying to seat me. I think if you can get service, the place would be fantastic, but would honestly encourage people to try somewhere else. Between OpenTable and some blogs, yelp, etc. there seems to be plenty of other delicious places to try. Not worth the potential for your time being wasted.

Awesome guacamole and salsa!! Noise level ridiculously loud and annoying! We were purposefully sat by a loud group of girls due to short server issues. Not cool.

Very good food but slow service and extremely loud restaurant. Patrons were screaming. It was a Saturday night, but this was louder than most bars. I was disappointed.

Made a reservation well in advance, but were seated at a table for six, wedged into the hallway by the kitchen. The smoke from the roasting chiles was so thick we could barely see. We asked our server if we could move to an open table near the bar and she said no. Atmosphere was just loud, with all the banging and clanging from the kitchen. Was hoping that all that activity would produce some good food, but it was not to be. Our entrees were recognizably Mexican, but that was about it! Weak drinks and mediocre service didn’t help.

Visited on National Margarita Day with high expectations about the large margaritas. The sombrero lamps were cute, and definitely had an energetic ambience. Ordered a prickly pear margarita with 1800 tequila, it was lovely and sweet and everything I wanted in a margarita. Enjoyed the table-side salsa. It was definitely spicy, and awesome with the warm, crispy tortilla chips. As the entree, ordered the Molcajete Ultimo. It came out sizzling hot! I absolutely loved and enjoyed the experience of tender chicken, steak, shrimp, and fajita veggies in the piping hot molcajete! Highly recommend this.

We were sat down pretty quick, but waited over 2 hours for our food and when it came out it was in batches; not everyone received their food at the same time. When we spoke to the manager he said he got a different story from the waiter. Very disappointed.

Waitress really didn’t want to be there, not friendly at all. She warmed up a little bit after our order was taken. It was strange considering her wages are based on tips.

We had reservations on Valentine’s Day and because the system went down they had no idea on how to accommodate the reservations. People that came in later than us checked in and were seated first. No one bothered to ask us our name and time of reservation. Very poorly executed for a busy holiday. Also our server never introduced himself or properly attended our table
