Just not a very good dining experience at all. The food was slow and then like warm when it came out ...the place was not very clean, menus were sticky; etc. etc. etc.

We have been going to Guadalahonkey's for years with good experiences. The last two times we have been there, we have had the same waitress (Angela). Both times, our orders have been wrong. Other customers arrived after we were seated, and were served before us. We also noticed the family next to us had their orders wrong as well with the same waitress. We still like the food and the prices are very reasonable, but our server was not up to our standards.

We had heard positive things about this place so we were looking forward to going. First frustration was we had an 8:30 reservation and were running 5 minutes late because of bad traffic, so called and they said "you know we close at 9".
The service was good and waitress was friendly. They had several empty booths but sat us at a table in the middle of the room. My kids noticed there was a sign that said if you want a booth ask for one. We would have preferred a booth....guess we should have asked.
The chips and salsa were fantastic. The food was OK. We had to send one dish back because the pork was burnt to a crisp. Charred and difficult to cut and chew. They made up some excuse but did replace the dish with a different meat. The crab enchilada was very fishy smelling and tasting. I took one bite. The other item I had was fine.

We won't be back.

Found this restaurant only because it was on open table. We enjoyed the casual dining with friends. Started with good house margarita's or sangarita. The chips and salsa kept coming and we munched our way thru dining. The fish taco plates were fresh and delicious. Enchiladas with too much sauce were good...Fried ice cream was shared by four. Very reasonable prices and very good service!

We made a reservation for an hour and a half before our paint night next door and we were still rushing to get over there. Food was slow to come out and so were the drinks.

Made a reservation through Open Table only to be told that they don't do reservations by the server. Then the servers were rude and had bad attitudes. I had a party of 21. A few more members in our party we're on their way, and the male server told us they needed the tables if they weren't coming because they were going to bee busy on Father's day. Suffice it to say, our party all came and the restaurant didn't get busy. I asked the female server for a straw and she threw down four with a wicked smile.
When the food finally came out, it was bland and the portions were small. Barely any chicken in the tacos, and the fajitas and beans were dry.
When it came time for the check, the servers attitudes suddenly became pleasant. Too late.

We had 8 adults and 2 children in our group. We enjoyed the food and the portion sizes were great. We left full. They were short staffed but we didn't have to wait to long. Our oldest son was upset because they used to have a drink on the menu that the didn't have listed. HE said that the Donkey Punch was the best. It is to bad it is gone. We had a very good time there. Thank you for letting us be able to book in advance. :)

You'll like this place too. The food is predictably edible. The service was I inviting. But in the server's defense, I think she was handling all of the tables in the restaurant. The ambiance is typical, in that it was southwest rustic. There wasn't anything terrible about the experience. And there wasn't anything remarkable about it. The best part of it all is the restaurant's clever name Guadalahonky's. The dining experience is much like a Chili's or Applebee's. The value is commensurate with them too. I would never eat there again, because I prefer to have unique dining experiences with exceptional or unusual food, ambiance and service.
