Celebrate Mom with a seasonal and creative brunch at Grove!
Sunday, May 13, 2018
We had such a wonderful time last Sunday at grove for lunch, we were the first ones there, the staff were very nice. And shortly after we ordered coffee and drinks, the chef surprised us with two appetizers that were amazing : chicken liver pate and pork belly corn dog, the plating was amazing! And those were both on the house just for us to try, the entires were amazing to say the least! We will be back!
First time at Grove and will definitely be going back. Arrived early for our reservation and planned to get a drink at the bar while we wait but instead the hostess said they were able to seat us right away! My wife and I both did the taste of Grove and enjoyed each of our choices very much but our favorites were by far the warm potato salad and the Zensai. Absolutely fantastic sushi! Had a wide variety of drink options and service was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening!
I like the Grove for it's creative dishes. Review the menu items before you go to be sure you like the dishes.
I loved the variety of ingredients they included in their meals... pickled ramps and baked fiddleheads were a few of my fav. I hope that they add morels to their seasonal menu when available!
This was by far the best dining out experience I've ever had! Our party of four consisted of 3 executive chefs and me - a pathetic person with Celiac disease who is forced to be gluten free. Not only were all of us impressed with the wine selections, but each of us had an amazing meal! I'm still dreaming of my Shrimp and Grits! This meal alone was worth the four hour drive. Thank you for taking care of us!
Big city good. Been excellent every time I’ve dined there
Went hear for our anniversary and got the wine pairing with the 3 course meal. I would definitely recommend doing it this way, Your bill will be about $120 but for a special occasion its hard to beat.
An epicurean delight! There was something for every taste!
Our server Nick, was very attentive and knowledgeable about all the different plates of food!
Both the regular & Vegetarian menu were packed with a lot of tempting foods, we tried multiple items off each menu, enjoyed each one....absolutely delicious!
We will be back... again!
Everything we ordered was superb. We had the butterscotch pudding for dessert and it was so delicious. Our server Tanya was so personable and excellent. Definitely will return!
The food was delicious. The deserts were a little too weird for us but overall everything was great. We made a road trip from Metro Detroit for the weekend and ate here for the first time. Our only disappointment was that the noise level was very energetic and it made it less than romantic.
It was all good but I went home and I’m not feeling the best
Kinda makes me sad I spent so much money :(
Food was good and place takes pride in the presentation of there food.
There wasn't anything bad about my experience at Grove but considering all of the hype I've heard and how delicious the menu sounds, my food was quite underwhelming. I received a pretty blah pasta dish that was too dry and a dessert that looked and tasted like a giant crouton sandwiched between two chocolate bars. Our bill was $90.00 for three women who did not order drinks or starters and I feel like that's pretty expensive (and I'm not a frugal diner). Again, the service was wonderful and the ambiance lovely but for the price the food just didn't measure up!
I wanted to love this place but was disappointed with the menu. Plenty for our vegetarian but few options for heart smart dining. All pork. I would have expected a couple of chicken or turkey options. We struggled th o find something to eat.
We loved everything about our dining experience. We were seated immediately, our server, Nick, gave us just the right amount of service. The food was incredible and cooked to perfection. We are looking forward to another visit.
My husband and I went to the Grove for dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate and have a date night. I tried the Taste of Grove menu and he ordered off the dinner. We both agreed the dinner was great, but our favorite plates were from the appetizer menu and not the entree. That often happens when we go out, but Grove offers two different tasting menu options that support trying different small plates which works incredibly well for the type of menu they have. We had a great night out and loved both our food and cocktails. Definitely recommend for a date night out!
The dinner was for my mother's birthday and everyone made sure to wish her happy birthday. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. The free birthday dessert was the topper on an already amazing dinner!
First time in Grand Rapids, first time at Grove. Service was great. Food was good—ate off vegan menu and I’m not vegan but the menu was great
First time with 2 associates. Loved the menu though not so crazy about the rabbit moussaka. Duck prosciutto salad and beet salad were lovely. We'll be back to try different things! Great service.
Such a refreshing change to most of Grand Rapids dining choices! Fit for foodies.
We went to Grove for Sunday brunch. We've been several times in the past, and love the options they have for every palate. We did notice that the serving size has definitely been made larger. We could have shared one meal easily! Everything is always fantastic. Our server was lovely, friendly, and as always, very helpful. I highly recommend Grove to everyone I know.
Phenomenal brunch menu that was more expansive than what we saw online. Phenomenal service and presentation.
Best in GR, still
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area now, we live in Grand Haven and it is worth the 50 minute drive. We met friends there last night and shared great food and good conversation (although it is pretty loud). We always do the “Taste of the Grove” with the wine pairings they choose. Have not been disappointed yet. We have never had a selection we did not like, its all good!
Amazing, unique and delicious dishes everytime! Service is top notch. This is our number 1 choice for special evenings.
Fantastic. Highly recommended.
Wonderful find - a definite do-over next time we're in Grand Rapids. Totally worth the short uber ride from the downtown hotel area. Food is terrific - creative, beautifully presented, and locally sourced. Nice list of interesting, and "not-the-usual-suspects" wines. Hope to get back there again soon.
All around 5 stars. Erin was our waitress and all of her recommendations were phenomenal. Every dish was fantastic. Thank you for the great experience!
This was our fourth time at the Grove and, once again, it was fantastic. We treated our friends for a wonderful Sunday brunch. Our server was very knowledgeable on everything on the menu. All four of us choose something based on here recommendation. Glad we listened as all the dishes were wonderful. And then, there is the dessert .... We'll be back as well as our frieds
Great variety of yummy food!
Nick was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
This was our fourth visit to The Grove and the food was wonderful as usual! I thought our service could have been a bit better, not typical for this restaurant.
We had really good food and a fun experience. Grove has unique food combinations which are amazing. We had very good service and overall a great time. Grove offers a unique menu and affordable options. We will definitely go back.
Erin was our waitress and she was fabulous!!
We met friends for dinner. Food came out like "art on a plate". Very tasty! They were busy the whole evening.
Food descriptions seem a bit intimidating, but don’t worry, every dish is fabulous.
Had a fantastic experience as always. Innovative menu, knowledgeable staff and superlative service. We shared the tasting menu with your choice of two small plates and one main course. We paired the food with a delicious glass Sarah. We shared a serving of their famous butterscotch pudding to complete our experience. Thanks again for another great dinning experience.
Great food. Great service. Great wine list. Always on point.
Awesome! I would recommend the $42 meal option where you get a 3 course meal! Money well spent!
Although the food was great, it was a bit busy. Some of the elements in the appetizers seemed out of place. The mushroom tart was a bit heavy with sage, and a milder less tart cheese would be better. The chicken was amazing but the curry could have been stronger. The potato stack was a star...could have used more then one. Taco was outstanding.
