On each of our two visits to Beaver Creek, my wife and I have made reservations for dinner at Grouse Mountain Grill. Each time, we are amazed by the wine list, the food and the service. On this visit we started with the brussel sprouts and dinosaur kale salad (split between us), followed by the elk for my wife and trout for me. The sommelier commended us on our Owen Roe Cabernet Franc selection and joined us for five minutes to discuss our favorite vintners and regions. For dessert, we each had sorbet, a chocolate mine and the chai tea flavors.
Truly one of our favorite restaurants in the world (and we travel often), GMG never disappoints!
Food was outstanding. Best restaurant we ate at during our stay in beaver creek.
We always love coming to this restaurant. The food is fresh and well prepared.
We had a lovely meal here from start to finish. The brussel sprouts and gnocchi were delicious, as were our main entrees of NY strip and elk. The service and explanations of the preparation of the meal were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and it made our stay in Beaver Creek even more memorable.
This was our 2nd visit within our 1 week stay at the Pines. Enjoyed all our dishes. The lobster appetizer was truly unbelievable, quite large and with a lot of bite size pieces of lobster. A winner. The kale salad was well composed and tasty. We had rabbit for the main course and enjoyed it very much, but thought the portion size was on the small side for an entry. Presentation and taste were really good.
Stayed at the Pines and went downstairs for dinner. Perfect after a day of travel. We (2) had several small plates which we always like to share. Started with the crispy brussel sprouts and continued with the squid ink cavatelli with small wonderfully tender pink shrimp. Loved the gnocchi with local goat ragout and mint gremolata - great combination. Our third small plate was pork belly with butternut squash and we finished our dinner with crème brulee. Everything was done to perfection. Service was friendly and appropriately paced. No complaints what so ever.
This is a great Restaurent BUT if you are not with small ish children I would highly suggest dinner in the bar. The Restaurent serves many young families which can get very loud. One the other hand the bar has a wonderful old time piano player and the ambiance is great.
A hectic evening with all tables filled which is the norm at this popular restaurant. A warm but noisy atmosphere. Despite busy evening attentive service, good food prepared well.
I come to Beaver Creek once a year for a week of skiing and Grouse Mountain Grill is always on the "Must Do" List and repeatedly exceeds our expectations. Not only is the food sublimely delicious, fresh, local, and subtle yet intense in flavors, but the service is always top notch. Together, this combination makes for a perfect evening out with friends and family.
We sat in the bar area and had a great meal listening to Tony on the piano. They have remodeled and I like it much better. Warmer and more casual. I would highly recommend.
Had a reservation at 6:15. Got there around 6:10. Left about 7:10. Felt rushed the whole evening. They brought soup while still eating salad. Told us they called ride service for us, but we had not even had desert or looked at desert menu when they did this. Brought check before I even asked for it. We had a table by the fireplace, a prime spot. Probably why we were so rushed and felt pressure to leave. Food was good and different. Quiet at first, but once singer in the adjoining bar started, conversation got difficult because it was SO LOUD! Would not go back there.
The restaurant is located in a local hotel. I am always hesitant to dine at a hotel restaurant. The food at the Grouse Grill was amazing. The four of us each had a different entrée -- all were outstanding. The desserts were also beyond expectations. A must do if in beaver creek.
Staff very efficient and knowledgable, as well as being friendly and making sure you are enjoying
your experience. Food is excellent. A very clever wine list on an IPad, although a lot of the wines are incredibly expensive.
Visited twice - 1 time per visit to beaver creek. Excellent food, a little stuffy but worth it for the flavors of the food. Only downfall, we bring our daughter who loves a good mash potato w her steak- they don't have a gourmet mash potato:(
The bison is incredible!
Grouse Mountain Grill is always a treat. Our family goes every Christmas Eve for the ambiance, food and great service. It is a tradition that we will continue!
The chef here never disappoints. Every time we come to this area we must go. This year we had the amazing lamb loin, stripe bass tarter, goat gnocchi, butternut squash soup and Brussel sprouts with some sort of sweet syrup. Everything we ate was amazing! Going back one more night and looking forward to it. Resturant manager Kyle comes by to visit and to ensure your enjoying everything.
We love Grouse Mountain. The room, the service and the food were all outstanding. We're going back for more!
Grouse Mountain Grill used to serve much better dishes. Although the major elk, buffalo, beef and fish dishes are unchanged, the preparation is greatly different and just seems to be put together by someone in the kitchen trying too hard. Our conclusion is for them to go back to basics and make the dishes more appealing to their diners. In contrast, the desserts are superb and at the end of our meal everyone was in agreement (only half in jest) that we should have ordered various desserts for our appetizers, main courses and desserts. They are that good. The staff also seems more than a bit chaotic, charging around the restaurant, grabbing bread containers and plates off the table when we weren't finished with them (and they didn't ask), reaching around one of us to remove the salt and pepper and casually leaning on the back of our chairs while talking about the menu. This is not comfortable service. If you want a great meal in Beaver Creek, go to Spago (Bachelor's Gulch) or Mirabelle or several other places.
I have dined at Grouse Mountain Grill many times and it was one of my favorites but the menu got more expensive and the food selections lessened. The comfortable chairs are gone and the so are the white tablecloths. And so is the great bread.
It's no longer a white tablecloth restaurant except for the prices.
Excellent service. Friendly staff, food was amazing. Cant wait to visit Colorado again and visit Grouse Mountain Grill again.
My family and I had the most delicious Thanksgiving Dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sides were served family style so there was plenty of food for everyone. In fact we actually were able to take home leftovers. The turkey was very juicy and tender and the stuffing was prepared the way my mother used to make it and I now make it. Tasted just like her recipe.... The service was impeccable and our waiter was very personable. All in all it was a very great evening and a wonderful meal. We may make a trip to Beaver Creek for Thanksgiving a tradition along with dinner at Grouse Mountain. I would recommend this restaurant very highly.
Awesome service and food for our Thanksgiving Dinner and Granddaughter's birthday. Kid friendly and awesome service and food. Wonderful dining experience ! Thank you so much for making it all special.
Tony G. on the piano makes dinning in the lounge even better with the great food and service.
We took advantage of the off season 3 course special and everyone was very happy with their selections. It was a Sunday evening and very quiet, which made it easy to converse at our table. As always the food and service was top notch.
Superb food, the very best service, delightful setting, and beautiful view.
We have been to Grouse Mountain Grill several times. Every time, it is fantastic. We had several small plates that were wonderful. For entree's the lamb was very good and the pork chop was delicious. The wine list was nice as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We were in Beaver Creek for the weekend and checking Open table reviews for a spot to have dinner - all the other reviews are right on. Don't miss dinner at this place! We went to hear the piano player and sat in the bar for dinner. Our bartender was great and his service was top notch. Food was creative and super good-squash blossom appetizer and a zucchini tater tot dish - some of the best apps we had all weekend. Even the bread presentation with the little jams on the side was delish. The meals were fantastic, the filet was beautiful and so good and the agnolotti pasta dish was superb. It was not cheap but we did have a few cocktails each too...I don't regret spending that much money for such a great experience. We will be back!
Their lobster appetizer has been on the menu forever and may it always remain. It is OUTSTANDING! So is the tartare. For the main course, GMG offers a number of interesting meat and fish entrees from Colorado. Elk and venison were, unfortunately, noticeably absent. I chose the lamb, which was perfectly cooked but served lukewarm. The polenta which accompanied it was uninspiring. The wine list is outstanding but very pricey. Hard to find any decent bottles below $100. They need to revise the price points. Service was uneven. Many of the personnel were new and frankly inexperienced. The above notwithstanding, the quality of the cuisine compensated satisfactorily for the awkwardness of the waitress.
We celebrated our 29th anniversary here. We had a table right next to an open door onto a deck with a beautiful view of the mountains, and lots of flowers. The food was outstanding, and service suberb. The food was local and sustainable, and had interesting extras, like flower blossoms in the salad, greens frm the garden etc.. The wine list is good, and is displayed on a tablet with tasting notes, sorting capability etc. We liked that too. I had a nice vesper martini I really enjoyed. All in all a perfect meal, and hands down our favorite meal in Beavercreek, and we ate everywhere...
As a vegetarian, it is not always easy to find delicious creative food. Grouse mountain grill has many options. The carrot appetizer from their own garden was a 10 !! The wine list was extensive and the service excellent
Don't miss this place -- could be a special occasion or just an evening out -- just DO NOT miss it!
In town for vacation and to celebrate my wife's birthday. The meal was awesome and the view incredible. A must try is the brussel sprouts. Outstanding service and staff. We'll be back.
We booked Grouse Mountain Grill based on good reviews and were not disappointed. In fact it surpassed our expectations. The Menu, the service and of course the food were 10/10. What we liked especially was that they had many of the favourites, but presented them in a new and different way. The 'plating-up' skills of the Chef's was first class and one almost didn't want to eat the 'artwork' so to speak.
Finally, when they discovered that it was our Wedding Anniversary, our desert came out with a Happy Anniversary note written in chocolate. A small detail which we appreciated. We will be back and congratulations to Executive Chef David Gutowski and Restaurant Manager Kyle Banchero.
Each course was perfect and the service was great. Highly recommend eating here. Must try the margarita!
We never miss Grouse Mountain Grill when we're in Beaver Creek. Definitely one of our favorite all time restaurants. Not to be missed!!!
It was dressier than we expected. Food was excellent and the piano player very talented.
We have a second home in Beaver Creek and frequently visit Grouse Mountain Grill for its consistent high quality food and service. You should try and dine when Tony is at the bar playing the piano. This really adds to the already outstanding dining environment.
My girlfriend and I ate here for our 1 year anniversary. Every course served was amazing and unique. Elliot, our server was professional, but not stuffy.Another server named Rachel was so friendly and courteous. She went out of her way to help us too. It was our first time dining at the Grouse Mountain grill and we'll definitely be back. They even did a special anniversary plate for us. Truely a special night.
We been to Grouse Mtn Grill several times and it never fails to be nearly perfect. They have live music in the bar and the service is second to none. Everying I have ever ordered has been quite good if not great. I highly recommend reservations especially during ski season. A great choice for any occasion.
Grouse Mountain Grill was loved by all four of us (including two teens). Everyone's food was perfection, as was dessert. The beef tenderloin I had was truly the most perfectly prepared I have ever had. The presentation of everything was beautiful. The wine that was recommended to me was excellent and exactly what I had asked for in terms of flavors. The view was gorgeous and the service was great (even though there were actually three different people who initially came to wait on us). Finally, in what can be a pretentious and excessive community, we found this restaurant to be very welcoming, comfortable and down to earth, despite serving food about which they could definitely have an attitude. A delicious and memorable experience.
