Grouse Mountain Grill
This is one of my favorite restaurants, but tonight it was over run with kids being loud and screaming. It ruined the ambiance for all of the adults and couples in the room trying to enjoy a nice meal at a nice restaurant...if I wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese for Valentine’s Day...I would have. For such a nice restaurant they should either not allow small children or place them in the room by the bar which is already noisy. Our waitress did give us a free dessert for the inconvenience, but almost every diner in that restaurant looked annoyed due to the obnoxious table with 5 children screaming at it.
We like to have our Valentines dinner on a off night.
It was awesome, table by the windows, snow was falling, food was excellent and our server (Rachel) was great!!!!!!
Overall, this was a awesome experience.
Great meal and great service
My husband and I enjoyed the service and the “ pretzel chop” was to die for. We will be back. Pine Lodges is a beautiful setting for this restaurant , but it is not “ in” Beaver Creek Village, so take the shuttle bus.
The service and atmosphere was great but the food was disappointing. Was expecting much better quality for the price.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Service is excellent, food is always great and we enjoy the ambiance. Tony playing in the bar is always a treat. Highly recommend.
Food was very good but too noisy and seems to have lost ambiance.
Really enjoyed the meal with some friends. Amazing wine list, maple brussel sprouts are wonderful. Service was attentive but not intrusive and a manager stopped by to make sure we were happy. Menu has been retooled with the new chef but the old favorites are still there. Thank you.
Our food and service was outstanding as always. The bison osso bucco was absolutely delicious!
Unfortunately, what started out as a nice, quiet romantic dinner turned into an extremely noisy, bar-like scene when a very large party came into the dining room (over 30 people). They were so loud we couldn't even carry on a conversation at our table. It really ruined the ambiance.
We love the food. The food is better than ever with new and exciting dishes. The menu is trendy with choices like Osso Bucco and Elk Chop. We look forward to visiting again.
What a great evening, the food and service were both first class. It is good to see the restaurant continued improvement. Living in the valley the Grouse Mountain Grill is always one of our go to favorites
Although GMG had been our favorite restaurant in the Vail Valley, our experience this trip was disappointing. The service and ambiance is still first rate. The food, however, did not adhere to the same high standard. Perhaps the new chef/management is still growing into the role.
The Sea Bass is to die for, a creative dish that will appeal to everyone while also satisfy those who are looking for a complex culinary dish.
We’ve been coming here for several years but it looks like they have added more tables so to serve more patrons which has taken away from the overall feel plus no more special jams & butter with the bread serving and not as many breads The wait staff was not as informative and courteous as in the past
We truly enjoyed the evening, wonderful food and service in a wonderful setting
The quality of the food was outstanding. A world class chef at Grouse Mountain Grill
Two people out of five had the bison osso bucco. Both thought it was of very poor quality and barely consumed any. And the restaurant could not care less to make it right.
The food was amazing, From the Sea Bass to the Osso Bucco were the best we have ever had. WOW what a great place to spend the evening
We were late so glad they took us - only complaint was my pork chop was full of fat - at those prices expect better
TonyG., an excellent jazz pianist and singer provides not to be missed entertainment in the bar nightly. His music is also heard in the immediately adjacent main dining room. We loved the food we ordered. Specially, the Yam soup, the goat cheese and beet gem lettuce salad and the seared scallops, which had a wonderful sauce with it.
Finding Grouse Mountain Grill in the dark was a little challenging since there is no signage but it was worth getting there. What a treat! The entire staff was perfectly upbeat and friendly. Service, timing of courses was great, a good wine list. The menu had a middle Eastern flair which I enjoyed. As appetizers we had the lamb meatballs & Moroccan yam soup. The chef makes great use of ginger & other spices. My husband ordered the pork chop which we understand is one of their signature dishes. They offered a special which was a trout dish. The presentation was delightful. Hubby’s pork chop he thoroughly enjoyed. My trout dish was dry and had no flavor. (They need to work on that recipe.) dessert was chocolate boules and an after dinner “adult milkshake.” All in all an enjoyable evening. I would return.
Grouse mountain grill is the finest dining in the vail valley! The drinks, the food, the atmosphere, and especially the staff created the best dining experience for us, we’ll be back soon!
As I have done for the past 25 years, I will always spend an evening at this incredible venue for the great jazz musician Tony G if nothing else. I thought the menu and preparation had been compromised in December. My recent meal was much closer to expectations. The gem lettuces were succulent. The elk chop on the menu was tender and savory. The NY strip came with wonderfully prepared sides but the steak itself was disappointingly tough. I will be back again a few times this season and I expect my confidence in the food to return
The food was very good, but the service was not. We requested two menu items that we never received at our table. They were not on our final check, which means the waiter completely forgot about them.
Our hostess told us when we arrive we could not have a drink in the bar because our table would be needed in an hour and 15 minutes! That was an immediate turn off. We felt rushed!Food was good, not great. Bill seemed exorbitant at around $300 for two peoplp, no dessert or coffee.
This Beaver Creek favorite changed ownership and chefs last year and it arguably got even better. One of the top establishments for food quality for several years, it is “really cooking” now. Some old favorites, like the pretzel-crusted pork chop and the lamb meatballs, remain, and some new delicious dishes, such as bison osso bucco, liven up the menu. The wine list remains top-rate. Over all, Grouse Mountain Grill remains one of the top three or four restaurants in the Eagle Valley.
The food and service were both top notch. I loved the bass.
We had the Osso Bucco and NY, both were cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful
Venue and setting was excellent, as well as wine list and variety. Food overall was good, but some meals were a little disappointing. Deserts were excellent. Would definitely go again.
Es un lugar muy lindo, tiene una gran vista ! La comida es deliciosa! recomiendo la coliflor rostizada y el ossobuco.
The food was outstanding!!!! Service is always great
Our server Dave was great and the food was out of this world good!
Meal with the family and everyone enjoyed everything from aps to entrees . Service and food were the best we had in Beaver Creek.
Terrible ny strip. Very tough. I notified the waiter, who did nothing to fix it. Very noisy with kids for the price point. Family dining should be separated.
I had heard good things and was disappointed.
The NY steak was great along with the level of service. Very attentive to my needs.
They were very accommodating with my dietary restrictions. Thank you!
Impeccable drinks & Food. Best Value in Beaver Creek.
We had the tator tots, the steak, and the pretzel crusted pork chop. The tots and the steak were delicious. The pork was good but couldn’t compare to the steak. I had the pineapple mojito too and it was amazing. The ambiance was nothing special but our waiter Elliot was great.
We had a baby and the table next to us had kids. But there was a table between trying to have a romantic dinner and it was awkward. The romantic couples should have been moved or eaten later 🤷♀️ we were dining at 5pm
Hands down the best restaurant we visited the week we spent in Beaver Creek.
