Steaks were amazing and so were the setting and atmosphere.
Fabulous food and wonderful atmosphere. I would both dine here again and recommend it to others.
We loved our dinner! I had the fillet mignon with french fries and sriracha ketchup, my husband also had the fillet but with grilled asparagus. The steaks were the best we've had in years. Our server was great and attentive. Loved it and will definitely be back.
Food and service were both amazing. Atmosphere for was perfect for date night. Definitely returning when we are back in town.
This was my husband and I's first time and we really enjoyed it! It was the perfect place to celebrate our one year anniversary. Delicious food and great service.
We made reservations at Grotto for a special out-of-state trip and it did NOT disappoint! The food was incredible, the service was great, and the environment was amazing. The quail poppers left us wanting more, and our entrées and sides had us wishing we had a Grotto closer to home. We would definitely return to Eureka Springs simply to visit this restaurant again!
Grottos is our most favorite place EVER ! Until now. It was freezing the entire time. We asked repeatedly for heat. Our server - the very tall gentleman was absent. The manager took care of us more than the server. Pork chop was much smaller than 2 months ago and the fries were burnt. Wings fabulous. Salmon good.
Disappointed overall. Used to be about professionalism and high bar wait staff.
Went on VDay and sat in a romantic front corner. It was gorgeous but FREEZING. Need to somehow upgrade the heat. The VDAY special would have been AMAZING except the red wine sauce on top of the fillet was super salty. Almost there.
Valentine weekend reservation! I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Service and atmosphere were spot on! Food was excellent!
Food was excellent & arrived to the table in a reasonable time. We had the quail poppers as an appetizer. I had the salmon & husband had the filet mignon. Sarah our waitress was very kind & took care of our needs.
No complaints as far as the restaurant, just the parking was terrible. So expect to walk about two blocks to a paid parking lot. It was worth the walk!!
We ate here for our anniversary. Our waiter was impersonal. The Mac n cheese was cold. Steak was undercooked. Sweet tea was awesome. Definitely not worth the $200 that we spent. I would not recommend
We had a wonderful time! We arrived early and were happy to wait for our table and were pleasantly greeted with a champagne toast to sip while we waited.
Once seated, we felt a bit disappointed by the lack of privacy or intimacy we were afforded in our high top bar situation, but quickly got over it as the music was just loud enough to drown out the crowd.
The food was amazing, we ate every last bit. The wine and service was splendid too! Though, we expected nothing less.
All in all it was a great time and we will absolutely be returning.
We hadn't been out for awhile due to Covid, but this was the best meal we have had in at least a year. Everything was delicious from the mushroom brie soup to the mains (duck), the sides (smoked corn) to the desserts (salted caramel cake). Drinks are a bit pricey.
Excellent out of the way restaurant with great food, professional staff, and interesting ambiance. Highly recommended.
Incredible dining experience! Took my wife on a weekend getaway and I made the perfect choice in dining (her words not mine). Best Filet I have ever had and beat Salmon she has had. The Quail poppers were delicious and will have those every time.
Always a must when in Eureka Springs, great food and environment. Never disappoints!
The sirloin steak was absolutely amazing!! My fiancée and brother had the ribeye, they said it was perfection!!
The food and service were excellent. It was a nice change of food and venue. Well worth the money.
We are in town planning a wedding for this May, and I selected this lovely place for dinner, with hopes that it would be a possible rehearsal dinner local.
Derrick, our delightful “waiter”( he’s really more than this job description - a cocktail creator; he’s funny without being obnoxious, and exactly what one wants in a dining experience).
We had a delicious dinner!!! I know this is our top pick for the rehearsal dinner, as well as our new “ favorite “ in Eureka Springs!!
0ur server, Derrick was terrific! Seating hostess and manager very understanding and polite We have been to the "Grotto" 4-5 times nw when we visit Eureka Springs, it has always been outstanding! The pork-chop though very tasty, could have been a bit larger in size/portion.
Great service. Felt very comfortable dining indoors even during COVID
Nice restaurant, but the food wasn’t as good as we had expected.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere so fun. We will definitely be back!
Always wonderful! Can’t wait for next trip! The food is always superb!
Wonderful food, service and setting. They have accommodated to fit restrictions with pandemic precautions and there was not one socially distant table empty.
Great food and ambience. Service was very a attentive and the food was out of this world!!!
My husband and I had the most perfect evening at Grotto. It was our first visit and we will definitely come back. I’ve already recommended it to all my friends. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!
Perfect spot for a birthday dinner for my daughter. Had the Brussel sprouts and Pepperd Goat apps and a steak that was perfectly prepared. The baked potato was delicious and the Mac & Cheese was very rich and cheesy. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet spot and a delicious meal! Definitely will be back!!
Had a later reservation. When we were seated we were told they were out of almost all the sides and most of the starters. Basically everything we wanted was gone except the steaks and salmon. The food was decent, nothing special. Our waitress was nice and did her job well. Atmosphere inside was nice as well. Wine selection was minimal. The dessert was awful. Overall experience was a bust being our anniversary, but its typical for Eureka and the covid era. If you are going to call yourself “fine dining” and charge $50 for a filet, you better have some sort of potato or carb to offer and bring your A game with the starters and desserts.
I heard great things about the Grotto. We came in with high expectations. Unfortunately they were not met. Half of the menu was unavailable because they did not plan accordingly for the holiday weekend. We had reservations, but still had to wait several minutes for a table to open up. We were offered a table upstairs, which we were told was on par with the lower level dining room. It wasn't. The upstairs is a old, drafty, converted dance hall furnished with cheap cafeteria tables and chairs. Shortly after our food arrived, the music stopped. It's one of those things you don't notice until you do. The atmosphere was off and fell well short of what you would expect for a high end dining experience. The food that was available was decent and the server was polite. My recommendation is to request a table downstairs and make sure their full menu is available before arriving.
Party was myself, my husband and our 12-year-old daughter. Everything was excellent. We were sat immediately. The service was amazing and we are still talking about our dinner. Highly recommend and we will return the next time we are in Eureka Springs.
Well, I put in for my reservation that it was our 18th anniversary and would like a nice table. We got the worst table in the house. Right by the window. Our server was fantastic, so service was very good. The food was hit and miss. The appetizers we ordered, The quail and the shrimp macaroni and cheese. The quail was over seared and flavorless. The shrimp mac & cheese was very good. My wife ordered the sirloin and I ordered the ribeye. The steaks were fantastic. Cooked very well and very flavorful. My baked potato was not very good, with a gigantic slab of butter that I have never seen in a potato before. My wife had a rice pilaf , Which she enjoyed. Her grilled asparagus was good also. I ordered the Romain salad, not grilled. Very average, if not below average. All in all, not a place that I would go back to. Although the steaks were fantastic, I just felt I had eaten at many, many better places.
I enjoyed the food. The wait staff was great. The only hang up was that they shuffled us into a room upstairs that looked like a high school basketball gymnasium with rope lighting to mask being in that unpleasant environment. Not romantic.
Excellent food! We went for our 16 year wedding anniversary and will definitely be back. EVERYTHING we ordered was great and so was the service.
Very nice place in Eureka Springs. We had the crispy Brussels to start and they were wonderful. My husband and I both got steak. He got the filet and I got the sirloin with the baked potatoes. All was really good. I gave them 4 stars because I thought this place was a bit expensive for what it was. Although I do understand restaurants have had to up their prices due to the pandemic. It’s just hard to stomach paying $50 a filet. Also we got two mixed drinks and a martini. We are kind of mixology snobs so I don’t mind paying $15 per cocktail but you better know what you’re doing. These would have been better priced at $10. All in all we had a good meal for 3 drinks, 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and dessert for $190
Pork chop, sides, and steak were exquisite and service was wonderful. Would eat here again.
The duck was fabulous and service outstanding.
Excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere!
Just in Eureka Springs for a couple of days and selected Grotto for a nice night out. This was one of the best meals we have had, at a reasonable price and with great service. Don't miss it.
We celebrated our anniversary at Grotto. My wife genuinely loved her steak and especially the sides. I had the duck and though it was tasty, I found it tougher than expected. Also, the wine is overpriced. Despite those negatives the overall experience was enjoyable. We'll dine there again.
