Grotto Wood Fired Grill & Wine Cave
We had a reservation, showed up 5 minutes early and were seated right away. The wait staff was amazing. Food was perfectly cooked. The filet mignon was the best I can remember.
Went there for my anniversary and you were out of the lobster mac & cheese but I ended up with a fillet that was outstanding. The only downside was the server was just perfunctory and didn’t even wish us happy anniversary. He did his job well but he didn’t go above and beyond.
Great atmosphere and food was wonderful. Service was friendly and staff was great! Definitely will go again!
My husband and I visited Eureka Springs for the first time and we tried Grotto, it exceeded every expectation we had. It is pricey, but it was worth the splurge.
A great local restaurant. Love the fried Brussels sprouts and the salmon with a Asian glaze. Nice wine selection too!
Absolutely a terrific meal and service! Don’t listen to bad reviews, those people should just stay home and eat! Perfect evening!!
The food, staff & atmosphere were incredible! Would definitely come back & recommend to others to try it! Probably a good idea to call for reservations ahead of time!
Although it took us a bit longer to get to our table than our reservation was for, the staff was extremely helpful in ensuring we made it through dinner with time to get to our next scheduled event. And even with the time constraint we had a marvelous meal to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, the food was outstanding and our meal was a wonderful experience. Definitely worth the slight wait!!
The food and drinks were amazing! Our server was wonderful! She worked hard to make certain we had an enjoyable experience. We had lobster Mac n cheese, Aus ju sliders, crispy fried brussel sprouts, quail poppers, wine soaked mushrooms, house filet mignon, and the boneless ribeye. The flavors were intense and full palate. Portions were generous. We had the local beer-perfect if you prefer non-hoppy taste, the white sangria-the best balance of flavors and the best white sangria I’ve tasted, and a margarita drink with pepper infused tequila balanced with pineapple which was unique and perfect. Will be back next trip to Eureka Springs!
We enjoyed an anniversary dinner at Grotto while visiting Eureka Springs for the first time. It was a wonderful experience all around! The service was fantastic- a hostess called us a few hours before our scheduled reservation and offered to provide us "cave seating" if we came a little earlier- which we happily accepted! The ambiance was lovely and relaxing. The food was delicious at every course- delicious craft cocktails, yummy apps, hearty mains, and a decadent dessert! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive throughout the meal and we were impressed with how quickly each course arrived. Overall- it was a great evening and we will return to the Grotto when we visit ES next!
Everything was wonderful! The filet made me weep it was so amazing! Our server was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Great atmosphere! Definitely a 10/10!!!
We have traveled all over and ate at many restaurants this place by far has the best food i have ever ate. The duck was prepared pefectly and my husbands ribeye you cpuld cut it with a fork. The environment was relacing and peaceful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a excellant
meal and service.
We love The Grotto. It never disappoints. Something happened and we didn't receive our entrees for almost an hour. We had gotten our appetizer pretty quickly and that was long gone when we started noticing that other tables were receiving their food on time. Our waiter told us that the kitchen had dropped our food and had to remake it so they payed for our entrees. Everything came out fabulously. I'm just glad that we weren't in a hurry to get somewhere. Overall, it was still a great experience and turned out to be a bargain that night! Highly recommend!
The food was absolutely wonderful. I had a glass of the Malbec and it was delicious. Would absolutely go back the next time I'm in Eureka Springs.
One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Service was outstanding and the restaurant is beautiful.
Not sure what high seating is. We were in the walkway. The service and food were great.
My husband had the ribeye and asparagus. I had the filet and acorn squash. In addition, we both got a dessert-bread pudding and the chocolate dome. We agreed it was one of the best meals that we have had. I am a TOTAL meat snob and my filet was tender and cooked to perfection! Perfect meal!
My Wife and I started with the Quail Poppers which were fantastic and are highly recommended. My Wife had the Filet and I the Ribeye, both medium rare. Our sides were the Grotto Fries with Sriracha Ketchup, Mac & Cheese with an additional side of Smoked Corn Medley. For desert my Wife had the Brownie and I had the Salted Caramel cake. The steaks had great flavor, but they were inconsistently cooked. They were both a combination of med rare and rare. I noticed our waitress looking at them, but she never mentioned it, nor did we. We didn't want to wait for them to start over. We eat what was cooked correctly and left what wasn't. The sides were the star of the show. The Corn and Fries were on point with the Mac & Cheese a close second. The Sriracha Ketchup was amazing. The Salted Caramel Cake was really god, but the Brownie was very dry and needed Ice cream, a coolie or something like that to add some moister. Overall it was hit and miss, but I would consider it a meal worth having. Also, be prepared to sit in close quarters. Our table was extremely close to the two adjacent tables to the point I had trouble getting to my chair without bumping into a guest at the next table.
Interesting place. Service was very good. Staff very friendly. Quail small plate was incredible. Goat cheese small plate very good. Filets were tasty, but were not rested long enough so we ended up with blood all over our plates. For the price I would expect melt in your mouth filets, they were not. A little chewy. Sides were good. Wine soaked mushrooms were great, acorn squash good, baked potato over garlicky. Over all, good experience.
Incredible dining experience! Impeccable service! Delicious food! We will go back again and again!
Great food, wine, and ambiance. A unique dinning experience!
Restaurant was unique and somewhat hard to find the first time.
Strange that they have a table on the stairway, there is a slight musty smell, probably because of the cave with a running spring.
Food was very good, steaks were cooked just right, mine medium hers medium well.
Wine selection at least for Cabernet was limited, but good.
Service was very good just didn't appreciate our waiter being so free with the f... word.
I would go back again!
As usual, one of the best dining experiences in town. Always a pleasure.
Food, as always, was impeccable, absolutely delicious. A must try is the Goat Cheese Appetizer and also the Brussel Sprouts! And the Cornish Game Hen was spot on! Thanks Rodney and Team for a great evening.
We had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and the ambience was amazing.
We were on vacation and after reading about this place and read the reviews, we decided to try itLiked it so much that we went the next night too! Nice people and the food was delicious!
The food is delicious and the ambience is great for a romantic dinner with your honey or a dinner with friends. It’s a must if your in Eureka Springs. We always make our stay around the Grotto’s hours so we can have dinner here. Opentable makes it so easy to make reservations or change them if needed.
Decided on the Grotto based on several recommendations. Have to say we became disappointed pretty quickly. We got seated in the most cramped location in the restaurant with a 5:15 reservation with 80% of the seating still open. Both steaks had been overlooked and one had 3 ounces of fat. Won’t be back!
Superbly cooked steaks excellent wine and a wonderful baked potato. The shrimp came off a little over seasoned.
Nice quiet spot in a tourist Mecca that is on the upper end of the three necessities: service, ambiance and food quality. Great wine list as well. Well worth the pleasure.
We had a reservation and our table was available upon our arrival. We started with the quail poppers that were very good. For the main course I had steak and my daughter had fish. They were both prepared exactly as ordered. Then For desert we split a brownie with homemade whip cream. We will be back.
Always great food and the starters are amazing as are the main entrees. There is something for everyone here, although it is probably not an ideal choice for children.
Went for my birthday celebration while on vacation. Loved the ambiance, the spicy watermelon margaritas, and the appetizer. My husband felt the filet was “only ok for the price”, while I loved my duck. Highly recommend if you’re wanting a nicer place to dine with unique atmosphere.
Best steak I ever had! Very very good! Will definitely go back if I go back to Eureka Springs!
They were out of the first 2 entree’s we ordered which was surprising for a weekend. The food we did order was delicious. Made reservations & were seated immediately & the wait staff was friendly & helpful. I would definitely recommend Grotto’s.
Big surprise in Eureka Springs! Elegant dining, good wine, great food! Best steak we had in a long time. Service seemed a bit thin but did not take from experience. Recommend this to those on a visit to Ozarks!!!
The food was great! The Bread Pudding was incredible!
From the moment we walked through the door, we were impressed! Warm greeting, perfect table, and our server was great!! The menu selections were plentiful and the meal was served perfectly. Thank you for the great memory!
The Filet was delish! Quail Poppers was an excellent choice for my appetizer. Love this restaurant & I will come back.
We had a ladies weekend and all 4 enjoyed this restaurant. I had the salmon and baked potato. Two of us had the opals pie ..it was a fake and the other had the pork chops and Mac and cheese. Great time!
