Grissini Ristorante Italiano Ratings and Reviews
We hadn’t been here in a while, were in the area and craving Italian so stopped in. I had the sole with spinach instead of mashed potatoes. Excellent! I think it’s my favorite dish on the menu. My boyfriend had the create your own pasta w/ the tricolor spaghetti and meat sauce w/ a couple a meatballs too. He liked it and said it was good. We started w/ the onion soup-really good.
It was a lovely dinner out with my husband and 2 middle school aged children. The kids had penne pasta with butter and Parmesan (the waiter didn't bat an eye) while the adults enjoyed veal parmesan and the lobster bisque. Something for everyone! and it was all delicious.
Charming! We celebrated an anniversary. My husband's gnocchi dish with truffle sauce was to die for. My swordfish was pretty good, a little on the dry side, flavor of sauce was very good. Salads were yummy. Service was exceptional. Quiet and romantic, we truly appreciated the privacy of our booth and quiet atmosphere.
Thank you once again for an amazing dinner at our favorite restaurant.
The Salmon was fresh on a plank with fabulous Roasted potatoes. Every thing delicious. My Husband has Salmon with pasta and arugula.
Our waiter Patrick made our evening complete.
We look forward to joining you for dinner later this month:
Totally overpriced Italian restaurant. I ordered the dinner special, black linguini with grilled prawns. The waiter didn't mention that this is a spicy entree. I wasn't able to enjoy my dinner. Should I've known ahead that it will be spicy then I should not have ordered it. The waiter asked me why I didn't finish my dinner, I told him it's too spicy. He just smiled and said "oh!" and left. I was waiting for him to come back and offer some apology or explanation but to no avail.
Bad experience. Never again.
Best value Italian restaurant in the area. Staff is experienced and professional, full bar, great wine list. Food is authentic and freshly prepared--from pizza to pasta to veal chops! Lovely ambiance for quiet evening with hubby or friends. Also they are very accommodating for large groups for a birthday or anniversary.
Our service and food were fantastic! Everyone loved what they ordered. 3 of us got the special and one ordered eggplant from the menu. Everyone of us practically licked our plates clean!!! The owner checked on us 3 times and you could tell he really wanted us to enjoy our experience ... which we did
Absolutely AWFUL! We are FL. residents visiting our daughter and always visit this restaurant. Will no longer return to this restaurant. Asked for a quieter table as my wife is hearing impaired but waiter told us upon arrival that request wouldn't be honored because it was Friday night And we were seated near large party (very noisy) and was a real struggle for my wife to hear. Dinner arrives and my chicken parm was so tough I couldn't cut it. I requested sharper knife but chicken was so tough it still was a challenge to cut. Gave up, took it home and threw it out! Had to request waiter show us desert menu & again request coffee & tea selections. The owner who is usually hands on had his jacket on and left long before we completed dinner. WILL NOT RETURN . Very disappointed.
Grissini as always was fantastic. Great authentic Italian food served by experienced helpful wait staff. Friendly outgoing ownership, makes every meal a joy. If i had to complain and its more my problem than the restaurants, as we age, we become hard of hearing and the "mood music" was playing too loud, with a speaker directly overhead that made conversation difficult. But, a small price to pay for such good food!
Normally the food is great but the night we were there they had 2 small private parties.
We saw one group already seated and also saw reserved tables for 5 tables.
In hind sight we should have left when we saw these parties.
Wasn't the atmosphere they normally have( too many peole milling around and more like a wedding feeling which is fine if that's what you're after but not comfortable conversation with your guests, could tell the dishes were Rushed and food wasn't great.
Call for reservation instead of open table. Suggestion :always ask- if you know the restaurant, If there are any big parties that night! Pick another place.
We went to Grissini's last year - two days in a row, in fact, because we were so happy with all aspects of dining there. So this year, when we found ourselves in the same neighborhood, we were excited to revisit the place that left us with such good memories. At first we weren't disappointed. The service was great, our appetizers and entrees as good as we remembered. They were quick to clear the table when we were finished with our entrees...and then...nothing. We sat there with no attention paid to us for at least half an hour, before finally asking a bus person to get our waiter. After waiting almost another 10 minutes and still our waiter hadn't come to our table, we left without coffee or dessert. No one had asked us if we wanted either one! We are so disappointed. So. Would I recommend Grissini's? I suppose I'm hoping that this lapse in service was due to the waiter being bogged down with other diners, although he's not an inexperienced waiter - I remember him from last year. So I guess I'm saying that if you don't mind that you might be there for two hours or more...I promise you won't be disappointed with the food.
