Most disappointing. We had a reservation yet had to wait to be seated. A member of our party ordered an entree salad which was brought out in between the first and second courses which might not have been so bad if it hadn’t taken over 45 minuets to be served our entrees. The waiter disappeared and was dismissive when we asked him about the wait. When the food arrived it was dry and over cooked. It seemed like it had been forgotten or left under lamps. Neither the waiter nor anyone else came by to check on us or to bring us more to drink. After an extended wait and dry food we would have appreciated it.
The fourth member of our party did not order a starter so he was very hungry. We suggested this restaurant to our friends and were quite embarrassed by the outcome.
We had dinner at Grissini with some friends and it was really nice. The service was great, and the food was delicious.
Favorite Italian restaurant in the Conejo Valley
This was our first time dining at Grissini Ristorante Italiano and we loved it! The food was excellent (sea bass, linguini with clams, Caesar salad and a terrific minestrone soup) and the service impeccable. We will most definitely come back again.
Some of our entrees were ok. My fish however was overcooked and tough - couldn't eat it. The service was extremely slow. Won't go back or recommend it.
Three of us visited Grissini for the first time. The food and service exceeded our expectations. When we arrived for our Friday night 7pm reservation, Owner Giuseppe greeted us and seated us at a beautiful booth by the window. Our server was CJ, who was very nice, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered two of the specials, the grilled branzino and the black pasta with crab meat and prawns, as well as the lobster ravioli. The branzino was brought to our table sizzling. Giuseppe was kind enough to remove the fish from the bone for us at our table. It was impressive and a first class presentation. We shared all three dishes and we all agreed that each dish was superb. We will definitely return to this wonderful place and we will certainly recommend it to others.
The host / owner is charming and makes sure everything comes out from the kitchen right.
Wonderful authentic Italian food. Great service. The owner makes you feel like family.
Wonderful restaurant!!!! This is just like be on the East Coast for dining!
The food at Grassini Ristorante Italiano is excellent. Remember, you get what you pay for.
Giuseppe and Barbara are wonderful and thoughtful hosts. We enjoyed our plates of Vitello, pollo e pasta arribbiata...excellent!!! Also, saluti to our cammeriere who took perfect care of us!!!
First time visitor. The owner was sweet and friendly. Generally the service was very good, however the pounded breaded chicken portion was too small! Salad prices are very expensive $17.00 for a dinner size beet salad. The bolognese special was the best. What was unfortunate was the attitude , though subtle of the waiter when I told him I expected my salad to have greens, it was only hearts of palm and artichokes. He was defensive , rather then saying sorry or offering a solution!! After that he seemed less friendly, not good!
My guess is other dishes are much better. I may go back. The reviews were so good, this is why I chose the restaurant. I was disappointed the three of us did not have a good food experience.
It was my first time there and was very happy with the food . The pasta and Bolognese sauce was really good. I really recommend this restaurant.
I had Extraordinary pasta special and my wife had the halibut with a side of pasta aglia olio. Torta di la nonna was awesome dessert.
We went with friends and all of us liked the restaurant very much. The only real issue was that it’s way too dark. You HAD to use your phone to read the menu. I don’t mind dim lighting but his was too dark. It’s also was a little loud. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Great food and great service. Looking forward to going back!
Always amazing food.
We had wonderful meal...beautifully prepared upscale Italian food. After dinner, the owner,
Giuseppe can to our table and shared a dolce and limoncello with us. It was a wonderful evening!!!
As always Grissinni's was what we have come to expect. Great food and great service.
This is a classic, old school Italian Restaurant. The food is very good and they have a large wine selection.
We LOVE Grissini. This was our second time this week! Everyone is so friendly and the food is delicious. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem.
The restaurant was fantastic in every aspect. From the service to the food, every bit of the experience was exceptional.
Love all about this place! Owner makes you feel you’re in his home.
The best part was our very friendly, knowledgeable waiter.
Unfortunately the chicken dish I ordered had chicken breast that was very difficult to cut into
(usually chicken breasts are very tender). My husband ordered prawns over pasta and he struggled to remove the prawns from the shell! He had to work hard to get a few small pieces out. We will not be returning to Grissini!
Amazing ambiance with a romantic feel. Perfect date night for us! We shared a signature salad, I had the chicken parmesan, and my wife had the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce. All three were amazing! Found our new favorite Italian place!
We went for New Year's Eve. The food and atmosphere were great. Really enjoyed it.
Great meal as always. Great service too. Personal service,
A great Christmas Eve dinner. Outstanding service. Our food was delicious. If I could make one little suggestion... I had the bolognase sauce and while it was very good, it was a bit on the skimpy side. Just a tad more sauce would have made this dish better.
Grissini’s is the finest authentic Italian restaurant in California. Exceptional food, service and comfortable setting. It’s second to none!!
Grissini's is a wonderful Italian cuisine that any dish is a treat! Fresh food, amazing service and owner is a sweet man that always makes you feel like your at his personal home!
Great food as usual. You can never go wrong, delicious food and superb service. This is probably our 8th visit and it only gets better.
Been in two weeks in a row. Food is wonderful. Specials have made me change my mind from what I was going to chose from the menu.
"Charming and warm ambience and service. Terrific food...a special experience."
Staying on vacation at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, I was excited to try what seemed like an authentic, cozy locally-run Italian restaurant earlier this week. It was a great decision and decided to return for a second visit. First of all, the menu is one of the best I have seen with the entire create your own pasta section. The egg-drop style soup with spinach in chicken broth, carbonara, and chocolate mousse dessert were all tasty. Lastly, the service was outstanding and restaurant decorated beautifully for the holidays. I will definitely return in the future if in this area on my next vacation.

Since the restaurant was out of pancetta on this particular evening, I switched from carbonara to alfredo and it was delicious. Giuseppe you and your people are the best! Can't wait to come back, soon & often!
My new favorite restaurant. Have eaten there 5 times and it is consistently superb.
Our favorite Italian restaurant. Everything is made from scratch every day. Delic!!
We hadn’t been here in a while, were in the area and craving Italian so stopped in. I had the sole with spinach instead of mashed potatoes. Excellent! I think it’s my favorite dish on the menu. My boyfriend had the create your own pasta w/ the tricolor spaghetti and meat sauce w/ a couple a meatballs too. He liked it and said it was good. We started w/ the onion soup-really good.
This is an excellent dining experience. Everyone from the owner to the wait staff makes you feel welcome and valued. This restaurant has old world charm and offers excellent drinks, entrees and desserts.
