I visit frequently. Lovely Mexican decor with a Mexican flavor menu. Food is not typical Mexican and is varied and very good. Calamari is terrific! Chef is vary hands on and can customize a meal for you. Wait staff is usually friendly, but service can be slow.
The food was excellent. The service was slow when there was service. Considering that the restaurant was less than 1/2 full on a Saturday night, we were quite surprised that it took over 10 minutes before we even received water. The hostess said that the waitress was busy in the kitchen. Service did not improve throughout the meal. We chose this restaurant because I read that this was a top 10 place for a SouthWestern meal. In hindsight the reviews I ready were based on the food, not the service. There are too many restaurant choices to go back. Too bad.
The food was not that good, the service was pretty terrible. It was Valentine's Day and the restaurant was not busy, yet, upon arrival, we were not offered even water for approximately 10 minutes. I had to ask twice for a water refill before getting one towards the end of the meal. We ordered drinks and they took another 15 minutes to come out. The server blamed the delay on the bar, claiming that they were swamped, but they obviously were not.
We were never approached regarding a second round of drinks. The queso fundido was pretty good, but the guacamole was very bland. I had the pollo asado and was very under-impressed by the quality and taste.
Overall, not a good experience, I won't be back.
Chef Jeff never disappoints, the Valentine's menu was phenomenal, but we expected nothing less. Our server Jose was awesome and the manager Cassandra stopped by to make sure everything was spot on.
As we sat there, enjoying the open air and city view, a full moon rose over the Catalinas. What a treat. Although you might not be able to replicate that, you can enjoy a city view from the patio and delicious food. My husband's chile relleno was unusual - not battered nor fried. He reported that it was excellent. I chose the taco trio. Carne asada ws my favorite. Although this spot is a long drive from home for us, it was certainly worth the trip.
This is really a motel restaurant. Menu is very limited . food was okay -- tacos and enciladas. MAny things on the advertised menu were no longer offered .
Had the chille relleno. Was very good. Service very friendly and timely. Would definitely go back. Sat outside and they had heaters which kept us cozy warm.
Food was very good, nice patio. Had to pay for chips and salsa which is not the norm for Mexican rest. The portion size was very small almost like appetizer size so very pricey for the small portions.
We did an overnight trip to tucson and stayed at the hotel attached to the restaurant.
Great margaritas! Best Ive had!!! The food was delicious , chips with the ceviche where amazing!! I would come back again when in town.
If you have the time, it is a worthwhile place to eat. Service was just incredibly slow. But the meal was delicious.
We enjoyed the restaurant so much we went back the evening before we left, again was not disappointed had tacos, quesadillas salad and the table made guacamole. And again Dominique assisted with our service. High marks, plan to go back in about 3 months
Very nice local southwest / Mexican style, great service.
New menu not a success
Seats inbooth ripped
Service was satisfactory
Good food, friendly staff, nice decor. Definitely would return to eat there. We went on a week night so it wasn't very busy. It was nice to be able to converse and hear the conversation. I ordered the quesadillas which were very different but also delicious. Presentation of the meals was very nice.
We went there for a business dinner meeting. I appreciated the staff for facilitating a successful meeting!
