We source the finest, sustainable & local ingredients to create handcrafted food & beverages.
We are the first restaurant to partner in Washington, D.C. with the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program, ensuring safe and environmentally friendly seafood as part of our cuisine. Our setting is unmatched and the best casual, neighborhood dining in the West End. The bar is ornately decorated with massive mirrors, large columns and a multitude of glowing candles. These, along with the open kitchen where flames leap from the grill, create a warmth and intimacy in a casual atmosphere.
A $3 per person fee for desserts brought from outside will be applied to the check. Outdoor seating cannot be reserved. Reservations can be confirmed over the phone or through OpenTable. Unconfirmed reservations may be considered canceled and tables will only be held for 10 minutes.

Reservations for 8 or more need to be made by calling the restaurant and require a credit card.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with love and kindness. Our server was amazing and made us feel like we were the only customers. The food was definitely a 10/10! I will be back when I visit D.C. again!!!

Dined at Grillfish for my birthday. This was my 2nd time here and found out the restaurant is closing for good in a week. Definitely disappointing news as I've enjoyed the food and drinks here.

Weird experience. Food was good but atmosphere was terrible because all staff had been told that afternoon that they were losing their jobs, as the restaurant is closing down permanently. We tipped the waitress as we felt sorry for her, but, honestly, the ambience was very poor. Not what you expect at an expensive restaurant…….

We had a great brunch/lunch. We have dined here before and is a favorite spot when we visit DC. Ginger Calamari appetizer is unique and great. Fish tocos are delicious.

Started with drinks which were very good. Appetizer of crab avocado toast was delicious. We the special crab shrimp pasta and three tacos which were excellent. No dessert as we were full from dinner. Service was on the spot, prompt and very friendly. Also had the Brussel sprouts which were awesome!!

Had an amazing dinner while in town for a college reunion. This restaurant was close to the hugely so it was very convenient. The restaurant was very accommodating and flexible with increasing our reservation when we showed up with additional bodies. Cocktails, apps and entree were all a delicious and good value for the money. I have a gluten intolerance and the chef was able to modify some dishes to accommodate me. Would definitely recommend!

The food was substandard at best. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was horrible. Taste wise there was no taste just overload on garlic. The person that I was with ordered Maui Maui and he said it was eatable but not good. I could face the kitchen and in my opinion the two cooks would cook the food and then put it on the counter to be served there was no one to check the quality before serving.

What a shame. Started so well with lovely cocktails and stunning starters. But the mains were very poor. Fish platter was pretty tasteless and the fries horrible, the risotto was an unpleasant texture to eat.

Have been eating at this restaurant for almost as long as it has been in business! The food/fish is always fresh and delicious! I sat at the bar for happy hour before sitting a table, loved their happy hour too! I highly recommend and worth traveling a little for as well!

The four of us had a wonderful time. We gathered for brunch around 1 pm and We had a truly leisurely afternoon getting reacquainted. The selection of food from the menus was excellent and we all tried different dishes. No one was disappointed with either the service or the food. We will definitely go again!
